Summary: Everybody RAVE !!!
Review: Prince fans have been waiting for another full live video since '87's classic 'Sign o Times' and this new VHS and DVD does not dissapoint. Prince is on cracking form throughout the video playing guitar, bass, keyboards and piano to an energetic non-stop selection of his greatest hits. Several guests add their input to Prince's already funky mix, the highlights being Lenny Kravitz (American Woman with horns !!!) jamming with Prince on 'American Woman'& 'Fly Away', Maceo parker blowing his horn on 'Baby Knows' and Larry Grahams thunderous and skilled bass-playing throughout the show. Defying his age Prince dances, splits and commands the band with all the energy and enthusiasm that he displayed at the start of his career, and frankly puts his young pretenders to shame in terms of sheer talent, skill and vitality. The standout moments of this show however, have to be the gospel backed, climatic version of 'The Christ' (formerly known as The Cross, but changed to suit Prince's new beliefs) and the beautiful, heart-wrenching 'Nothing Compares To You' performed with soul diva Rosie Gaines. All in all a superb testament to Prince's muscianship and legendary career. Here's to the next millenium !.

Summary: Mind Boggling
Review: Prince's talent and charisma, that is. His genius really shines in this New Year's Eve 1999 performance; it almost isn't possible to get your mind wrapped around his capabilities they're so stellar.
The hidden gem of the concert is easily a blues take off of Red House (re-done as Purple House - natch). Prince's vocal and guitar solo are nothing short of spectacular.
If you love Funk, and you love His Royal Badness - BUY THIS! If you're not a Prince fan yet - YOU WILL BE!

Summary: Rave...like it's 1984
Review: Rave Un2 the year 2000 is simply Prince at his best. With guest appearances by George Clinton, The Time, Maceo Parker, Larry Graham and Lenny Kravitz, this release is evidence that Prince is the master when it comes to fusing all musical genres. And He does it with such ease. Rave 2000 displays a show that even non-prince fans would have to take their hat off too. From the hits Let's Go Crazy, Kiss to Purple Rain, to the funk of the new album "Rave un2 the Joy fantastic", Prince is back and shows that he is still the performer he was in 1984. Guitar playing to rival Hendrix and Santana, dance moves that blow the King of Pop out the the arena...Let's face it, you have to be a Prince before your king anyway.

Summary: RAVE IS OK
Review: The DTS mix is amazing on the disc. I was absolutely floored by the sound quality..The only downside is Prince's so so band..Larry Graham's presence is also visually unappealing..I give this 3 out of 5 stars..

Summary: The Prince Returns To His Kingdom
Review: The Purple One is back and with a vengence..This Dvd showcases a live greatest hits as prince tears thorugh the songs like a man on a mission. Myself being a Prince fan coouldn't wait to view this DVD and it didn't disappoint. Prince is at his best live, and this Dvd show he is truly the 20 centuries Beethoveen. He remains a musical genius, and while his newer stuff hasn't bee as popular it has always been innovative.. And it is said you can't know where your going until you know where you've been. This DVD serves as a musical reminerd to what a genius we have amongst us.

Summary: I thought the artist and songs was entertaining but...
Review: The sound on the DVD, the crowd (be it the way they actually were OR how Prince & crew made them sound on DVD), the camera...bad, bad, bad and made it for a horrible DVD. Unless you are a devoted Prince fan...pass on it.

Summary: Prince Rave for this 2 hour concert
Review: This concert video of Prince and a multitude of other performers is a must have for any Prince fan. The jams just keep coming with one special guest after another. The amount of talent is staggering. Even those folks that aren't in to Prince as much as his fans can't help but appreciate the wonderful sounds being made by musicians who love making music and who love to perform. There's slow jams and jazz and funk and fast grooves to keep you on your toes. Hook up the television to your stereo, turn up the volume, and jam along with Prince.
