Summary: A wonderful tribute ~ Encore!
Review: As a great admirer of Sting's compositions and lyrics, I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive about watching the DVD, I had missed the A&E event, but I had heard that the concert was taped on 11 Sept. How does an artist/musician pull this off with a sense of respect and decency? Well, he does, and the beauty of it is unknowingly.

Having attended two of his stateside concerts this past summer and experiencing a very choreographed impersonal "performance", I was genuinely moved by this performance. Perhaps "All This Time" is a fitting and loving tribute to those Sting has loved and lost [references to his parents, Kenny Kirkland, etc.] and stage being located in his home that was rumoured to have been introduced to him and his wife by his friend the late Gianni Versace, Maybe they were all smiling from the great "wherever".

And by the way~ I don't remember 50 year old friends of my father's looking that good at 50! Cheers Sting! Encore!

Summary: STING IS WONDERFULLLLLLLLL!
Review: first i must say i'm a fan o'sting and i own all his records.this dvd is what i expected from sting.PERFECT!i first heard the audio album and then i was sure the next dvd i will own.
something important about this dvd is the new flavuor of the songs.he has looked to them from a new angle.the whole concert is very mellow(as sting says it's like a love letter)and song selection is great.i like "moon over b.st."&"perfect love gone wrong"version hear the brass parts are owsome.also "all this time "but the week poit is "every breath you take"exept this track there is no bad point.
no matter you are a fan or not you will love the concert.there's also a new version of "frogile"which is nice.and also i love the clip of frogile which exist on the documentary part.and the documentary part is more than enough!!
you can see the whole band comming to sting's house and interviewed one by one.and the musicians here what can i say,i
always admire sting for the players he chooses.we have old guys and new guys here.like manu katche on drums new players on percussins.i also love piano and organ player.you will also love the cello parts which is done very smooth and tasty.
don't miss this dvd.it's defenatly one of the best dvd's i own.

Summary: He's done it again.
Review: First rate and very touching tribute. The making of documentary is excellent and insightful. I was watching intently and suddenly reliving the horrible feelings of Sept. 11 again along with Sting and his band. This dvd will always make me stop and consider the beauty of life and the fortune we all have.

Musically, it is Sting. It is fantastic, exquisite, jazzy, worldbeatish, etc. If you have ever liked Sting or the Police, this will be a natural fit for you. Cheb Mami rocks.

Hard to believe Sting is 50. Wow. He is da man. Always has been, always will be.

Summary: Beautiful Music by wonderful musicians
Review: For any listener who loves positive and soothing music, this is Sting at his best. The DVD includes a documentary of Sting, practice sessions with the band and an excellent concert! The concert takes place in Sting's home(located in Tuscany) with his family and friends as the honorary guests. All of these elements result in a peaceful and loving concert. There is also a good mixture of Sting's past and present music. Lastly, the visual and sound quality is really great.

Summary: The Show Must Go On!
Review: I enjoyed the "Sting - All This Time" DVD very much, although I thought the documentary part that preceded the concert went on a bit too long. Also, I had my doubts as to whether Sting should have performed his show on the night of September 11th. Listening to his heartfelt comments and watching his emotional performance erased all doubts. If I ever lose my faith in Sting, there'll be nothing left for me to sing! In addition to the songs listed on the back of the DVD, three bonus songs are included: "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," "Fill Her Up" and "Englishman In New York."
