Summary: Back in Detroit
Review: I was at the filming of this video and I must say that watching it made me feel like I was back in Detroit again! I love it! It is one of her best performances ever!

Summary: WOW
Review: This is and amazing concert by the untouchable Madonna. She is seen playing the guitar, kicking [behind] by way of martial arts (she sould've put "Nothing Really Matters" in the Japanese part, but nevermind) and have a rootin-tootin good time. For those who saw it on HBO like I did, the DVD is better because some of the camra angles are better and the sound quality is much much better. You can actually hear what Madonna is singing. And the picture is better. Note:this is rated R(even though it doesn't say it here). This is for a very distinct part in the concert. I strongly advise parents to watch it before their kids watch it.

Summary: That's Entertainment
Review: Madonna is a great entertainer, there is no denying that. She sings, she dances, she provokes and she gives more than your money's worth. My only criticism of Madonna as an entertainer is the complete lack of emotional connection with her audience. She puts on a show, but it is Madonna the Entertainer, not Madonna the person. It is all about the show, not really the emotion of the music. But, as an entertainer, Madonna certainly fills the bill, and this tape is definitely entertaining. It is a filmed concert and does not allow a glimpse into the private Madonna, as 'Truth or Dare' did. Just pop the tape in, sit back, and be prepared to have Madonna blow your mind visually.

Summary: "A theatrical representation of my Music" ~Madonna Ciccone~
Review: Inspired on the Kabbalah's Tree of Life and the futuristic novel "The Drowned World" by J.G. Ballard, Madonna's own Drowned World is filled by Punks from London's King Road, consummated Geishas from Kioto, Electronic Carnivorous Cowgirls from somewhere in the West Coast,
Apocaliptic Flamenco Dancers and Ghettolicious party pimps.
This show is a celebration where the leading charactor finds the truth at the end of each act.
Where each world can't exist within the other.
This is actually one of the most amazing stage performances of this new century.
A lot of people that could not understand the complexity of this show filled with not so beautiful but shocking metaphores of life, say that this is not as good as previous tours just because she ain't singing old hits... but WHY TO REAPEAT SOEMTHING THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE, when you have amazing new material to perform live for the 1st time!!!... the only part when she really looks back 20 years ago, is when she sings her 1st 80's hit "Holiday"...but even that song sounds fresh and new!!...so please don't belive everything you read on newspapers... feel it for yourself and
DROWN IN TO MADONNA'S WORLD!!!

I can honestly describe de song list as "perfect"...but i was really looking forward for performances of "To have and not to hold", "Bedtime Story", "skin", and "the power of goodbye"...but her choices are for some reason...and it actually works perfectly!!

Summary: DEFINITELY NOT HER BEST
Review: What has happened to Madonna? This concert was only marginally entertaining and was also full of perverse, satanic influences. She comes out in that shirt with MF proudly displayed in very large letters, strums a guitar with MF emblazoned on the shoulder strap, and calls her fans MF'ers, screaming it to the rafters. Is this the style of a gifted artist? Some regale the "darkness" of this production as art, but in truth Madonna has become a caricature of herself. The artist who was always on the cutting edge has finally gone over it. She's done it all, so to break new ground she insults us with over-the-top language, a weird, choreographed rape scene between a demon and a woman, and other elements that just didn't fit. What's up with the geisha routine and that bail of hay? If this is the new stuff, she should stick with the old. Like many superstars, she's become too self-indulgent. She seeks to please herself more than the fans who foot the bill. Very disappointing.

Summary: Madonna-Rama
Review: First of all, I have to say this to the whiners who were complaining that Madonna did not perform her eareliest hits: Get over it. If you want to relive those glory days, watch the Immaculate Collection video or some of her earlier concert videos.

Now for the concert itself... I was fortunate enough to see the Drowned World Tour live in Las Vegas, and it was truly spectacular. From the sets changes to the costumes and a mechanical bull, Madonna shows that she is no washed up greatest hits performer. She still has that edge that propelled her to stardom back in the 80s. It is interesting to note how much better Madonna sounded on this tour than her previous tours. It seems as if those vocal lessions have paid off. The sound quality on the DVD is excellent, and it enables the viewers to appreciate how much better Madonna sounds. Some things (and people) do get better with age

The highlight was the finale, the number one hit 'Music'. With video screens showing a montage of Madonna images through the years and gold confetti cascading down, Madonna danced and pranced with boundless energy. However, don't just skip to that chapter, the whole DVD is worth watching. If you are a Madonna fan, you owe it to yourself to watch this. But then again, if you are a Madonna fan, you probably already have.

Summary: A "MUST" FOR ANY VIDEO COLLECTION
Review: Saw the concert in Auburn Hills, Michigan and couldn't wait to have the entire concert on tape. Madonna is creative, intelligent and driven, which makes all of her work enjoyable to anyone that enjoys being entertained!!

Summary: Madonna---entertaining as always!
Review: I,like many fans, hated that several of Madonna's biggest hits were left out of this concert. That aside, Madonna, being the chameleon she is, changes our perceptions of her and gives an entertaining concert with lots of incredible costumes, great set design and some really cool choreography---Crouching Tiger style. Concentrating on her two previous cds, "Ray of Light" and "Music", Madonna weaves her set of songs from moody and dark to light and free. A cool dvd and a good concert to own.

Summary: Madonna Rules the World!!!
Review: This is a fantastic concert film. A must have for any fan of Madonna. I was not fortunate enough to see her show when it came to town, but this DVD was a great alternative. Maybe even better because I could actually see the stage and hear the songs clearly!!! Plus, this DVD showcases Madonna's ever-increasing range; she sounds magnificent (her voice is gorgeous ever since Evita training), and highlights her new guitar skills. Terrific photo gallery too, showing the countless images of Madonna over the past two decades.

Summary: Must Own
