Summary: Almost Perfect
Review: I was lucky enough to be in the front row of this very concert in Auburn Hills, MI (the HBO taping date), and I loved it! It was an AMAZING experience to see Madonna perform in person, and it's a memory I'll cherish forever. Here's the "but"...I thought the concert was too short (under 1.5 hours), a little choppy in organization (some of the songs seemed out-of-place), not all songs were what we wished for (yes, we wanted the older stuff!), and the encore piece ("Music") was indistinguishable from the rest of the concert...most audience members didn't seem to realize that 'Music' *was* the encore. Plus, the show ended so abruptly that it felt like we were doused with a bucket of ice water. Madonna's interaction with the audience was kept to a minimum, and she left the stage with a "thank you and goodnight" from back stage. Hmmm, is it really over? We weren't too sure, but it WAS over. In addition, this DVD version cuts out some parts that you can see in the original HBO airing. The DVD adds "glam" with graphics (I find this annoying), different angle views, and well...takes out the real "concert" feel. It's more...TV quality, as opposed to a "live" experience. In spite of the short-comings, however, the in-person bit was an awesome experience and while I've seen better concert DVD's from Madonna (Blonde Ambition, Girlie Show), you have to own this one if you're a true Madonna fan. Heck, I taped the HBO one, but still own this...because, at the end of the day, a true fan loves most things Madonna. Right? :)

Summary: Madonna is the greatest artist ever!
Review: Madonna proves with this concert that she can still rock with the best of them. Maybe that's why up-and-comers like Britney Spears, Pink, and Christina Aguilera look up to her so much. I for one will follow Madonna on any musical trail that she blazes. A+

Summary: What has gone on with Madonna????
Review: Now, having being a fan of madonna for over a year already, i've had much experience of her c.d.'s. this concert made me think back to the days when madonna was in the 'erotica' stage. horrible. and what is up with the japanese cartoon? it was stupid and i didn't know why it was shown. nothing to do with madonna, very obscene. every single thing of madonna that i own is at least 1,000 times better than this 'erotic' deja vu concert. her voice is great, her outfits are wonderful, but the way she acted on that stage was very disappointing. the only exception is the very beginning and the very end, where there is no sign of anything funky happening.

note to all madonna fans, please do not buy this dvd unless you really truly loved madonna's 'erotic' days. it's not worth the money and certainly only a recurrent dream of 'erotica' and the sex book.

Summary: An Unforgettable Performance
Review: The Drowned Would Tour is an impacting drama of high production, energetic stage dancers showing unpredictability, hard work and most of all a MADONNA. There are different themes in each song creating anger in some or empathy in others. It's about interpreting her messages that are carefully and intentionally portrayed throughout this fabulous Broadway of shows.

Never has Madonna looked so sensational as she dances all imaginable styles, sings different languages, acrobatically jumps, plays guitar, has her subtle moments, acts wild on stage, reveals sexuality in various fashions, flirts with the dancers as well as the crowd, walks & acts like a cowgirl, invokes religion, reveals appeal to diverse cultures, rides on a horse machine, wears an array of outrageous outfits, and acts in the most confident of fashions despite the intensive choreography, hot stage and masses of fans. She adores her audience as you can sense she lives for those moments where she stares at the crowd & holds her head up high with a smile that only a few Hollywood legends display.

She brings new songs not heard often like "Candy Perfume Girl" as well as already known songs like "Don't Tell Me" or "Holiday". There are the metallic rock strings, electronic new age styles and the pop and punk styles. Her unpredictable nature is what really draws the interest of the viewer making the time go by fast and wishing the show would never end.

Summary: Now, this is a GOOD one!
Review: If you want a great concert DVD for your collection, get this one. It essentially defines coolness. For a change, here is a concert that is actually filmed well. You really feel like you are in the audience. Much better than the version that HBO aired in August. The difference is noted specially during Impressive Instant, Holiday, What If Feels Like For a Girl (why in Spanish......!!!!???), and Music. This great concert focuses almost exclusively on her post-Evita albums, with a couple of exceptions from Bedtime Stories, and two eighties gems. Hey, fine by me. For all of you that keep wining about the lack of old songs: Get Over It! Music and Ray of Light are better than Material Girl or Like A Virgin any day.

Summary: Madonna does what Madonna does best!
Review: I got to see her live in London and this DVD brings back all those great memories. If you did get to see her or missed her you will love this concert. It's heavy on material from the Music, Ray of Light and her 1990 releases, Holiday is the only classic track Madonna and the girls run thru near the end of the show and it had me on my feet singing right along with Her, Nikki & Donna. If you enjoy live shows this one is a must.. Enjoy! Ross

Summary: I was at this show (Auburn Hills, MI) and it was AMAZING!
Review: Okay, so she doesn't do her old songs... That's expected though...She's not young anymore. However, Madonna is still Madonna, and she is still amazing and absolutely fabulous. Seeing her live was awesome. It's hard to believe how good she is live. This DVD is a must-have for any true Madonna fan. It may not be the best DVD concert (personally, the Girly Show Down Under is my favorite concert DVD), but this DVD is great to have because it's the concert that I saw with my very own eyes. If you have any of her other DVDs, you will not regret getting this one.

Summary: Well done to Madge!
Review: I'm glad to see that Madonna at the age of 43 has the stamminer and willpower to produce such an electrifying performance as she did on this DVD! All tracks were excellent but one problem, WHERE ARE THE OLD ONES that we all know and love? Live To Tell, Papa Don't Preach, Open Your Heart? This being the only dissapointing factor of this concert.
The show explodes with a heart stopping performance of Substitute for love which Madonna performs brilliantly and with such feeling and happens to be my favourite track.
Other goods tracks include Frozen, Candy Perfume Girl and Gone!
Quite rightly so that this DVD outsold any of those of her younger amateur performers DVD's! No names mentioned eh Britney and Jennifer!!!!!!! Lee, Wales

Summary: If you missed the Drowned World Tour.....
Review: This is one of the best concert videos that I have ever seen. I experienced the Material girl Live at the Staples Center in LA and was absolutely amazed at how this video was as good as the show was live. Go Madonna! She rules!
