Summary: Linkin Park does great live
Review: Their first full live album and they don't fail. I was a little disappointed on not hearing Breaking The Habit live. Linkin Park is probably one of the better live bands now, songs like Pushing Me Away are so professionely done in sound and vocal work. Crawling does seem lackluster if anyone has heard Crawling before live but it is good. One Step Closer of course ends it and overall, a definite must have for linkin park fans.

Summary: Life-altering DVD for this alternative fan
Review: I always really liked Linkin Park, but this DVD was life-altering in my musical world. I had just turned 42 years old when this came out and I'm a single mom of a teenager. I have been into punk/alternative music since the early 1980's and my musical tastes have evolved with the genre up to and including now. I'm not your typical Linkin Park fan. It's funny when they refer to their fans as "the kids" because I'm clearly not "a kid" (though a kid at heart) and the two concerts I've seen since this DVD came out had lots of people my age, and not just parents bringing their kids (and since I was a parent bringing my kid-I'm really the bigger fan, though he also loves LP--I wonder how many other "parents" were like me, that is, attending the concert because they love LP too).

But about this DVD in particular. I saw a preview of the DVD at the theatre the evening before it was released. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY. I simply could not believe how good they are. I had purchased all three of their previous CDs as each was released, but I guess I never paid that close of attention to their music. So I purchased the CD/DVD the next day as it was released. I also pulled out all three of their other CDs from my CD collection and put them in my car with Live in Texas. That was about a year ago. I have listened to Linkin Park almost non-stop ever since.

I honestly believe that Linkin Park is one of the best bands of all time. The concept behind their music is so novel in comparison to other alternative bands. Now some people say, well they sound like so-and-so, but it is the other bands that are copying LP, not the other way around (if you compare the chronologies of their CD releases, you will see what I mean). A lot of people that give Amazon reviews rank songs in their CDs, but I find that impossible to do. While there are one or two songs I don't like as much as the others (and I'm talking 1 or 2 out of ALL their songs, not per album), ALL of their songs are really great!

If you like Linkin Park, but have never seriously listened to their music, I highly recommend this CD/DVD. Watch the DVD without distractions and you will see what a truly GREAT band they are.

Summary: Impressive
Review: Linkin Park is one of the best bands now, and definitely one of the best live bands ever, they're the only band that i've heard in while that sounds like they are giving 100% at every show, most bands on tour, get really tired, and they start to slow down on stage at the end of the tour, Linkin Park might be the same but they don't show it. Great Dvd

I subtracted a star from this because i didn't like the Cd, because i was expecting all 18 songs on the Cd, because if you can't watch the whole dvd at some time, whats better then to listen to it in your car or on a school bus. So the cd is a little lacking but the Dvd has great power and is a great dvd from LP.

Summary: Ok for what it is...
Review: This concert is effectively a reproduction of their studio work, and its decent. However, the atmosphere and audience engagement just isnt there, which in my opinion spoils what vibe they could actually bring. One thing I hate is when people say they've got talent... they have virtually none, bar they're ability to write a radio-friendy, "i'm so hardcore man," song for the masses. If you want to see real talent, check out Dream Theater, (and their new live DVD)...that is what its about! On a positive note they do play most of their good songs off Hybrid Theory (IMO Meteora all sounds the same and is terrible anyway), and the mix is not bad. But the bottom line is if you want to be a sheep who follows mainstream not-even-half-decent music, this is for you, but otherwise, steer clear, and find some quality music instead.

Summary: Dreadful DVD
Review: I own a lot of live DVDs and this has to be one of the worst. Chester can't hold his vocals, the crowd seems disinterested and the whole thing looks so phony. Even pleading from the band can't seem to get the crowd going. I still like Linkin Park but will stick to their studio work. Seemed to me that with limited energy from band and crowd, a smaller crowd and venue would have been a better choice for a live album. Many empty seats in the Texas stadium.

Save your $$ or buy a real live album like RATM at the Olympic. Now that's a metal/hip hop concert that ROCKS!

Summary: Lots of energy, still hate the band though
Review: Linkin Park is terrible but I have to admit that this concert had a lot of energy and that's why I gave it 2 stars. The funny thing about this world is so many retarded people go to Linkin Park concerts (I know, I was there for some some reason). Their guitar riffs aren't as repetative (same songs, different chords) but they are still pretty retarded if they think they can get away with such crappy drumming, bass playing and singing. Rapping was not as bad as I thought it would be, maybe they changed the songs a little before the concert. Don't buy this unless you really like sausage links, err.. I mean Linkin Park (in which case you're retarded). See ya.

Summary: Linkin Park rocks
Review: Linkin Park is one of the best bands in the world ever, with their great talents, enormous energies, and hilarious performance. Although the DVD video should have been made better, it remains one of the greatest music DVD's. Of course, it will be even better to be in a live concert (Linkin Park will be my first choice). I am hoping that one day they will release an HD DVD version of the concert with DVD-Audio quality of sound, and better video editings. That will be the best music dvd ever.
