Rating: Summary: LOUDER THAN METALICA Review: Of course the crowd was louder for Linkin Park than for Metallica, they wouldn't go to that concert if Linkin Park wasn't there. But lets stop teasing the unlucky fans of *cough Metallica *cough and be serious for a moment, I dont get what some people are saying about the camera angles on this DVD. I loved the slow-mo and close ups in here. It really catches teh energy of this concert and makes you want to sing along. I am not a hardcore LP fan in fact, i just got their cd's 2 years ago so this is a cd for anyone who is familar with their music.Obviously, we all know who the best band is...LINKIN PARK!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: CD great, DVD not so much... Review: I really enjoyed the sound quality on both the CD and the DVD. Though I have never seen the group live, this was a good substitute, sonically. The DVD was watched in Dolby 5.1, and had excellent sound.Visually, the DVD was underwhelming. There were absolutely no shots of the entire stage because it was not shot from an audience member's perspective. The camera work was, at times, nauseating because there was way too much movement going on. Too bad a more experienced director was not in charge of this effort. The DVD captures the energy of the band, but there should have been more alteration between extreme close-ups of band members and their instruments (way too much of that) and a wider panoramic view that would give us the audience's perspective.
Rating: Summary: DUBBED ! Review: I am a fan of Linkin Park but this concert was obviously dubbed over. The sound is awsome but the visual does not seem in sync with the sound. My advice is to by the cd's and enjoy the music. .... Pass on the DVD...
Rating: Summary: Decently Made Concert DVD Review: Tight. That's the word to describe a band like Linkin Park. Slip the DVD in and it starts straightaway without those annoying interactive menus. 30 secs or so of backstage shots before they get on to rock. They performed at two Summer Sanitarium (with Metallic, Limp Bizkit etc.) concerts in Texas, and cut scenes from both to make this disc. Tens of thousands of people came to watch. This band kicks off immediately on a huge stage. (Thank god no tacky pyrotechnics) Sound is extremely clear. Everything is edited pretty well. Another user posted that this DVD was shot with a lot of motion. But I think that effect ADDS to the whole concert feel, and as someone who does video editing, this DVD is not edited or shot badly. The list of songs are pretty comprehensive, with them playing all well-known numbers. They compensate for little showmanship with a lot of energy. I really wonder how these rock concert performers perform night after night and manage to put up a good show. They have unlimitless amts of energy/stamina. Do they have personal trainers or what? How does Chester growl in one line and sing in the next? The fact that he doesn't crack at all is worth your time watching this. Chester says something meaningful in trk 8 (audio CD). He wishes all the musicians in the house "Good Luck", and goes on to say that LP was once "on the other side of the barricade a few years ago...coming to these shows, seeing our fav. bands and having the dreams...just persevere, believe in yourselves and one day you'll be up here with us...". Lines as simple as those, have probably given hope to thousands of kids. Chester is unrehearsed, it can be seen on the DVD. All in all, I don't think LP is out to cash-in with online marketing or whatever. They take extreme PRIDE in the fact that they have made their band ACCESSIBLE & are open to changing technologies. This is probably becos of technology incorporated into their music (the DJ stuff/electronica). So they sell a few t-shirts online... big deal The best part of the DVD concert is clearly towards the ending. Probably starting onwards from NUMB. They are tight and really know their material well. (Hey, that's professional-Axl could learn something) On the dvd, you can't hear the live audience well, but you do see people mouthing the words in unison and the mosh pit. But the words really come thru on the cd. Thousands of voices all together. Chester says "its beautiful". I think it's scary. Seeing thousands of mouths singing YOUR thoughts, almost worshipping you. The closing song/performance is the best. Suspenseful. Chester goes crazy. (see on DVD) All in all, a great music concert to watch. I'm NOT a LP fan, but respect them as musicians and artists. It's not easy to do what they do. LP does not have rock star attitude. (I watched interviews with the band and saw that) (This live audio/dvd combo comes in 2 discs. Singapore RRP at SGD 29.90. Pretty good value for money.)

Rating: Summary: Only for Diehard Fans Who Have to Own Everything LP Review: I was going to give this DVD/CD four stars because I love LP and think they are very talented, but I am just so disappointed with this purchase I think two stars is fair. Let's start with the DVD...shaky, blurry, slow-mo, jumpy camera work. I would have liked to see intact, clear footage of the concert and interviews or discussion with the band but you will not find that on this dvd. Maybe I could have tolerated this jumpy/artsy method of camera direction if it would have been edited better and clearer. It's headache envoking. You may become naseous. Far away...close up...blurry...clear...bright...dark...grainy...slow motion drumming. It's just a mess. I know what the makers of the DVD were going for but come on I don't ask for much I just wanted to see Linkin Park in concert...clearly. The camera is all over the place, cutting back and forth to band members and the audience, not very clearly. Other than talking on stage to the crowd there is no LP interview or commentary. The DVD is so hard to watch I found myself at times losing interest and looking away while just enjoying the music. It seems like LP lately is just out to make money with all the hardcore merchandising and crap they're trying to sell on their websites. This DVD is just further proof to me that LP will sell pretty much anything even if it is poor quality. As for the CD, I love LP and the live songs were great, and sounded great to me. My only complaint would be that I bought it with the intention to burn a copy FOR MYSELF for my car and to listen to at work. It seems that LP has "hidden" the tracks on the CD, making them almost impossible to rip/burn. When you open the CD on your computer you don't see the music files, only the HTML files that link you to their website. It took me two days with my software to figure out how to copy the songs to my computer. As for the other stuff on the cd, you can access pictures of the band online which was cool...but you also get linked to a webpage that can assist you in making your own LP site with your very own LP merchandising page where you can sell their crap for them. Golly gee just what I always wanted!? Come on LP has to be crazy putting something like that on a CD for their fans. How low are they gonna go? I still like them and enjoyed my purchase for the most part, but they have to cool it with all this down your throat advertising/merchandising. The CD extras weren't that amazing. I liked the pictures but most of them the fans already have anyway. The screensaver was poorly made and only worked on my computer for a couple minutes before it messed everything up and I had to uninstall it. In conclusion, only buy this if you are a huge, diehard LP fan who likes everything they sell and have to own everything they offer no matter what's its quality. If i had seen this DVD before buying it I don't think I would have made the purchase. The CD is good even though it's not amazing. Some fans may want to pass and just be happy with the first 3 LP CDs that were released. However, if you can somehow buy the CD only then that sounds like a plan. It hurts me to say this about LP but anyone reading this review you have been warned and should probably pass on this purchase.
Rating: Summary: ....... Oh my god Review: Holy $hit. This is incredible. Thgis DvD rules and having the CD lets you listen to most of the songs anywhere you have a Walkman. it rules. There is no other way to describe it
Rating: Summary: This is the real "live" sh*t Review: This is an incredable DVD. I saw them live at summer sanitarium and this is a really cool reminder of the awsomeness of the show. buy it and recommend it to others.
Rating: Summary: LP Live in Texas is Awesome Review: I went out and bought this cd/dvd combo the day it arrived in stores, and I haven't been let down a day since I bought it. The DVD contains footage from their two shows in Texas. One was at Reliant Stadium, and the other at Texas Stadium, when they were on the summer sanitarium tour. Their Meteora songs were played at Reliant and Hybrid Theory songs at Texas Stadium on the dvd. It definetly has a cinematic feel to it by the quality of the cameras and everything. Linkin Park puts on a great show for their fans, and this was no different. Mike rapping, Chester screamin, Mr. Hahn rippin the turntables...it is all on this dvd. Some times you wonder which concert your at because Chester's shirt goes from slightly wet to drenched in sweat but who cares?! He performed awesome in both shows. The crowd could've been louder but hey linkin park can't help that. This DVD is well worth the money you pay for it because these guys are awesome at what they do. Enjoy your LP DVD!
Rating: Summary: I won't be ignored!!!! Review: Yo, This is a mindblowing dvd and it is worth way more than it costed. I mean i am ... a black male. My cultures music is rap and r&B. But when i heard of a band that did like a fusion of rap and metal music I rushed to get their cds and I am a huge fan. Linkin Park rocks on this dvd. I felt like I was at the concert. This was a mindblowing performance. They sound so good to be live and it has great quality. The morning i rolled over in bed and saw the commercial for this cd+dvd combination I knew then I had to buy it. I already loved Linkin Park but now they have gained a new level of respect from me. I love this dvd and it was worth the money I spent on it. I encourage everyone who likes Linkin Park to go buy this. I gurantee you will love it. Hurry up this is your last chance to rock with Linkin Park.
