Summary: Zakk's for REAL. We need more like him!
Review: ....
I was in attendence and the show is even better than I remember it. ...BR>The camerawork is up-close and very sharp.
The band is incredibly tight.
Zakk was definatly ON and it shows. All of the top BLS songs get a workout .

As for ther extras, you get:
2 songs from the Quatro club in Japan
the video for his latest single, STILLBORN shot by Rob Zombie.
Footage of a rare accoustic set
Extended interview
Zakk playing the National Anthem at a LA Kings game
A free guitar lesson!
A a duet with Zakk and his 3 (?) year old daughter!

Well worth the money.
Admittidly, most Rock DVD's [are bad] bad. This is one of the few exceptions.
An outstanding performence by one of the few bands still flying the flag for Hard Rock/Metal.

Summary: Zakk is Godlike
Review: Amazing stuff. Drawing primarily from the great 2002 release 1919 Eternal, BLS destroys Detroit. Zakk Wylde, Nick Catanese, Robert Trujillo, and Craig Nunemacher are without a doubt one of the most amazing lineups of musicians in metal. This show proves that Limp Bizkit truly sucks!

Summary: Incredibly heavy live BLS with some nice extras.
Review: As a casual fan of Zakk Wylde's guitar work (with Ozzy, Pride & Glory, and BLS), I picked this DVD up on a whim and I'm glad I did. The live show is a brutal, bone-crunching experience. Zakk & crew (including Robert Trujillo on base) unleash some of the heaviest metal imaginable. The only respite from the mayhem is "Spoke In The Wheel," a Skynyrd-esque ballad which Zakk performs alone with his Les Paul. Guitar solos, drop tuned riffs, beer-swilling, and shouts of "Motherfu-ker!!" abound. Fans of Pantera, Down, and old-school Metallica will not be disappointed. The 5.1 mix is terrific and the band sounds as huge and defined as you'd expect.

The DVD extras are excellent and add some real value to the package. They include:

*A guitar lesson filmed up close in the studio for one of his instructional videos. Zakk breaks down solos from 3 songs note-for-note at slow speed with up close fretboard views. Guitarists will love this feature.

* "Slightly Amped," a two-song acoustic performance from a pre-show appearance. It appears to have been filmed by a fan, so the sound isn't that great. But hearing Zakk rip it up on an acoustic is damn cool. And his singing is terrific, too. The man is ridiculously talented.

There's also a home video of Zakk singing with his young daughter, additional live performances from Japan, and the Rob Zombie-directed vid for "Stillborn," the hit from BLS's latest album. It's a tremendous package for fans of heavy music, great guitar playing, or Zakk's work in particular.

Summary: Zakk Wylde does it again!
Review: As a huge Black Label Society fan, I was wondering for months how this DVD was going to turn out, but I must say that it is awesome. The concert footage is raw and uncut and the bonus material is great. Some of the bonus features include Zakk playing the national anthem at a hockey game, and the "Stillborn" video. All of the concert footage is clear and well lit, and it is not a low budget DVD. This is just another A+ for Zakk.

Summary: 5++++++++ This DVD smokes!
Review: Big fan from the BLS San Diego Chapter! Zakk is amazing. He has been working at his craft for a LONG time, and it show. The concert footage is phenominal, the video and sound it super clear. The crowd noise has been filtered way down, but it is evident they are as stoked (Detroit) as BLS is playing on stage. Zakk's supporting cast is as tightly tuned as he is. Though the concert footage alone is worth the DVD price, the extras are AWESOME. An two song accoustic set for a radio promo, a two song concert segment from Tokyo, a segment of four separate song "solo" lessons, and a very entertaining interview which sheds immense insight into Zakk's loyalty to his work, fans and band mates. There is also a 3 minute duet with his 3 year old daughter doing the accoustic "Thank You My Child" from "Book Of Shadows" that is priceless. Buy this now....it is for all hard rock enthusiasts!!

Summary: Kick-*ss American Metal!
Review: BLS picks up where Pantera and Metallica left off -- awesome, loud, fast American Metal. Zakk's voice rival's Ozzy's, and his axemanship is truly unbelievable. Go get a case of beer for this one -- you'll be glad you've got it!
