Summary: Dreadful, worse than their Touring 2000 DVD
Review: 1. A "Grunge" band (supposedley I guess these days)
like Pearl Jam should not have a singer with short hair!!
It just does'nt look right.

2. If Pearl Jam can't be bothered performing on stage with energy they may as well call it quits.

3. This DVD is boring, the crowd don't mosh, they just stand, like zombies, the music is perfomed so badly that its not worth moshing to - fair play I guess.

and finally - Pearl Jam since Vitolagy and an exception to their "Riot Act" album are one of the most overated bands ever!
I'm only being honest.

Summary: Great stuff, a truly absorbing affair
Review: A great concert dvd with an outstanding performance by Eddie and the gang. Truly one of the best bands around. I checked out one of my CD singles of "alive" and noticed that it was almost 13 years ago when that single was released. How time flies, and how gems like PJ is still as polished as ever.

Summary: Awful
Review: All I can say is that guy not below me but below him sums up this DVD perfectly, could'nt have put it better myself.

Oh and by the way, don't buy this DVD its awful, Pearl Jam sold out after their Yield and Live On Two Legs album. Every thing up till then is really good or mostly good.

Pearl Jam 1991 - 1998.

Summary: Bonus on top of bonuses on top of a great show!
Review: An absolute must have if you love good rock & roll. The other reviews basically said it all. Black, Breath, guest appearances, etc are wonderful. Dead man (Ed solo before the Boston show) was great.

ALSO- Hunger Strike (Temple of the dog) is hiding on disk 1. Was from Mexico City with Corrin Tucker from Sleater-Kinney doing Chris Cornell's part. A very pleasant surprise which is undocumented anywhere. Press display and go to chapter 2 on the disk.

Summary: Where have all the good shows gone?
Review: As a jaded twenty-something I thought the whole Seattle grunge scene was way overblown. Now in my thirties, I bought one of Pearl Jam's live recordings (Vegas) and fell in love. This DVD confirms what I'm becoming more and more afraid of--that when bands like Pearl Jam are gone, there won't be anything left but--ha ha--Good Charlottes and Simple Plans. I understand that some people might be angry at them for not rocking the way they once did, but you have to remember that Vedder ruined his voice for the good part of ten years and only recently started sounding decent again. And, so what if he looks like a turd . . . if you don't think Mike McCready is the best lyric guitar player alive I'm sorry for you. This band has enough heart and soul to inspire me, you, and anyone, whether you agree with their politics or not (As a matter of fact, I don't.) My one complaint with this show is that Ed is obviously pretty drunk by the middle of the second set--but that just inspired me to have a bottle of wine of my own while I finished watching.

Summary: PJ still going strong
Review: Do not bother reading any reviews that give this less than 4 stars because honestly these people have no freaking idea of what they are talking about. Case in point; Stillbroker has only heard of 4 songs off the first disc shows you know abosolutely nothing about the band and your suggestion for a laser show is maybe the dumbest or funniest thing I've read in quite sometime. I find it interesting that people that know nothing of a band feel confident in writing reviews. That is the problem with sites as these because any retard with a computer can write any piece of crap they wish about topics they know less than nothing about. If you are a true Pearl Jam fan you will love this DVD. It is a pretty interesting variety and combination of music that spans their years together. This is a good way to see how a great band plays together and see what accomplished musicians they are. There are so many highlights from this show that I'm sure (like me) everyone else that saw them at different venues on this tour went to the wrong show.

Summary: Horrible DVD !
Review: Don't be fooled by the Pearl Jam die hards who over rate anything PJ. I did... After reading reviews here I picked it up...This is not a 4.5 star performance! Its bad...
Even the fans in the backround seem bord and are talking to each other to entertain themselves. There is no atmosphere..the singing and playing is weak. It made me sick to waste my money on this...You want a 4+ DVD Concert try: U2- Live at Slane Castle/ DMB- Live at Central Park/ Travis- More than Us/
Red Hot Chili Peppers- Live at Slane. This DVD blows........

Summary: Review the DVD, not Pearl Jam's live performances from 1991
Review: I agree that if you compare, say, the concert shown in the video for "Even Flow" to the performance of the same song on this DVD, there is a significant difference in the band's energy. It's ALMOST like that video was filmed some 12 years before this concert was performed. Almost. Pearl Jam has grown extensively with each album, especially their most recent studio effort RIOT ACT. The nature of the lyrics and the intricacies of the music do not beg to be performed by five guys jumping all over the place (check out the absolutely incredible performance of Matt Cameron's "You Are"). The subdued nature of most of this performance fits the maturity that not only highlights new material, but is being applied to past classics (check the interesting new tempo of "In My Tree"). Even with that being said, the band still rocks out plenty on this DVD (check out the Matt Cam feature, and the performances of "Last Exit" and "Baba O'Riley", plus plenty of others). I saw Pearl Jam on this tour, and this is a perfect representation of where the band stands today: a mature, innovative hard rock outfit, and my favorite band in modern music.

Summary: AWESOME, almost as good as Touring Band
Review: I already bought the DVD on Saturday November 8th, I was so excited when I got home after purchasing the DVD and Lost Dogs CD. I saw the band 4 times this last summer, unfortunately I wasn't at the NYC shows, but still a great show. The special features are awesome: Throw your arms around me with Mark Seymour is ok. There is a solo performance by Ed of Dead Man, also good, but it still shows us that Pearl Jam are 5, the quality of the music is so much better when they all 6 play (w/Boom) Bu$hleaguer has a montage of different appeareances. Fortunate son shows all the special guests they had on the tour, but not just the opening bands but the actual people who shared the stage with PJ. Down is the best special feature. It shows us how the band is behind the stage, how they spend their time while they are noy performing. There's Jeff with his skateboard, Ed with his mini camcorder, it shows us the "Normal" side of the band. This DVD is a must have eventhough you are not a huge PJ fan. If you were at any of the shows of this last tour, this is the perfect souvenir. And if you weren't is a very cruel way to regret it. Buy it.
