Rating: Summary: G3 Review: It should have more tracks than CD version.
Rating: Summary: Three of the best electric rock guitarists Review: If you play guitar or are into watching electric guitarists play, this is probably one of the best videos of three of the best guitar "Gods" on the planet.
Rating: Summary: 3 guitar unite, play like Gods. Review: This is the first time I ever saw these three guys playing guitar. Satriani, Johnson and Vai. Each of them play 3 songs, and at the end they all unite and play together 3 more songs. This DVD is killer. The quality of the sound is just so good that you think you're listening to the CD. I sometimes turn on my surround sound and play this DVD and makes me think WOW! This is a must for any serious fan, or for anyone who loves guitar music. If I could give it a 10 stars, I'd give 10.
Rating: Summary: Vai is the man Review: Satch has the best tone on this one and Eric is pretty good but after seeing Vai I could pass on the others. It is about like watching Whitesnake. Satch makes a lot of noise really. I recommend this video.
Rating: Summary: rather short Review: This is a good DVD but not realy a concert. It's organized as a "best of concert" kind of show. There songs from each of them. In the end the get together but by them the DVD is almost in the end. I confess that I'm disappointed and that I expected more. Satriani seems to have a new one coming out "Live in San Francisco". Looking forward to this one.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: This show has only a few problems. It could be DTS. The Show could be longer... Afterall, Anyone who ever seen a Joe Satriani or Steve Vai Live Show MUST buy it... simply amazing.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely incredible! A must have... Review: This is absolutely the most incredible combination of guitarists. The only thing that would have made it better is to add Eddie Van Halen and call it G4. The emotions expressed by each musician is so strong, if you can't feel it, you're dead. Eric Johnson's attention to detail is superb. Joe Satriani and Steve Vai can make a guitar do things that are bordering on impossible. If you are a music DVD collector, you must have this one.
Rating: Summary: A surreal guitar experience for all music lovers... Review: I have been a Joe Satriani fan for a long time, and finally got this Dvd. Let me start by saying this is a great concert, the songs performed by satriani are amongst his best songs (even though i would've liked to listen to "the crush of love"), Johonson and Vai are equally superb; one inspiring moment is watching Steve Vai perform "for the love of God", you can erally tell that song means something special to him. The audio quality is jsut perfect, and the video quality is pretty good, BUT you can sometimes catch some color-banding artifacts in the abckgounds, but its nothing too serious. I highly recommend you buy this DVD if you are a hardcore fan of Joe Satriani.
Rating: Summary: A treat for guitar players Review: Its interesting that most of the comments are about Eric Johnson, who was obviously uncomfortable in this situation (and didn't stay with the G3 tour for long). Nonetheless, its Eric who really stands out--even in this company. Satriani is impressive, while still being funky & musical; Vai is impressive but neither funky nor musical. And Eric just floats above it all, managing to make even a 335 sound fabulous!
Rating: Summary: absolutely brilliant Review: the real suprise here is eric johnson stuck in the middle of these two etraordinary and brilliant guitarists.his style and grace espially his second offering manhattan is a true revelation the sound is 1st. class the images ar average due to alot of colored lighting effects overall amusthave for all guitar freaks with taste .p.s.the final segment is worth the price on its own red house a standout track
