Rating: Summary: Thom Yorke is a good bloke. Review: This video is great! The videos Radiohead create are awe - inspiring. They are so creative
Rating: Summary: Radiohead is great, but Thom Yorke looks like Martin Short!! Review: I really loved this tape. I like others wanted to buy it but couldn't find it. I came to this place, and I was elated to find it. This band takes the time to follow up their supreme musical efforts with even better music videos. I enjoy the cinematic quality of these and will no doubt watch this many, many times. But Yorke really does look like Martin Short's old character, Jackie Rogers Junior!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Rating: Summary: GET IT WHILE IT'S HOT! Review: This video is incredible - but what would you expect from the likes of Thom York and company? I have read the other reviews which have been posted up to this point so I won't ramble on and on about how great this is. I will add that I tore the town I live in apart trying to find a copy.... everywhere I went I was told that it is no longer available. So, DON'T THINK ABOUT IT - BUY IT RIGHT NOW..... before you regret losing what may be your only chance to own one of the best music videos to come along in a long, long time.
Rating: Summary: need bigger couch Review: I couldn't see the film cause my giant testicles were in the way
Rating: Summary: You are a target market. Review: This is obviousley just advertiszing for this company but it will help sell the video and blah blah. It was an excellent video. I kept thginking about it for days at a time . A must for any radiohead fan. the videos are of top quality. Fun and educational. If you stare at them too long, you start to imagine things and see things that arent normally there. Esp. good is the slow motion glass breaking in 'Street Spirt' along with all of the other slow/fast special effects. Very artistic very awe inspiring. Tthe opener, Paranoid Android, is based on the Robin cartoon. Although actually longer than the actual Robin cartoon, it is excelllent. Bizare and twisted, but still following a story. At the end the mood changes with the slow down in the video. Angels, helicopters, and ping pong. Ingenious!!!! High and Dry is a Pulp Fictionesque video. Confusing; trying to puzzle it all out will leave you ocupied for days. For Just, it is incredible. Radiohead could not have done a better job. thom's performance of the song was incredible. No Surprises, though simple in concept, is very nice. the underwater scene is very well done. Karma police is also excellent..the typical persuer becoming the persued. The finale is Fake Plastic Trees, set in a grocery store. Bizare....Colored items and old men with guns......Buy it. It will be good for you................
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Great selection. Just is far and away the best video ever. If you like Radiohead you have to get this.
Rating: Summary: gotta buy it!!! Rating: Summary: Now we don't have to suffer MTV to see radiohead. Review: Videos included: Paranoid Android, Street Spirit, No Surprises, Just, High and Dry, Karma Police, Fake Plastic Trees. There are 3 things that make this a great video to own. 1. The videos actually do something for their aural counterparts. - "Paranoid Android" is cinematically, more bizarre story telling for an already bizarre song. Suffice it to say it gives you more to chew on. "Karma Police" illustrates what is happing to your life and gives you hope that you can overcome it. "No Surprises" does the same but with a subtle and insidious beauty. "Just" does the same but with a bit more humor. "Fake Plastic Trees" is almost beyond description. I practically weep thinking about it, how we think of beauty and youth in an all to ugly and frail world. "High and Dry" and "Street Spirit" don't actually do a lot for me. Hence only 4 stars. 2. The control you will possess of the context, frequency, and quality of these videos. - You don't have to watch hours of bad videos on MTV to catch them. You can watch them whenever you like. You can take the tape to a friends, show it to them and debate how that video changed, confirmed, or confused you opinions about already great songs. You don't have to worry about bad reception interfering with your viewing pleasure. 3. In terms musicians lip syncing their videos this one is a pleasure to watch. Thom Yorke doesn't lip sync as much as he reinterprets the songs for the camera. He's much more frantic and mocking during the choruses of "Just", he's more devious in "Karma Police", and he's more depressed/liberated at the beginning/end of "No Surprises". One reason you may want to avoid purchasing this video. If your sick of Radiohead and all the press and praise they've been getting for the last year and a half, it might be best to take a breather. You may find the camera's focus on Yorke's unmarketabley marketable lazy eye a bit annoying. My advice would be to pick it up in a year or two after some of the hype has died down, assuming they don't have another follow up of the same quality. In which case, fortunately, you'll have to wait a few more years.
Rating: Summary: Very good, but still.... Review: Being a big Radiohead fan, I enjoy having all these videos at disposal. Most of them are really awesome. Still, this tape is really short (around 40 minutes I believe), and do not contains ALL Radiohead video (I would have liked to get Creep, Pop Is Dead... and all those really old/rare videos that exists). But again, with Paranoid Android, Karma Police, Just... This tape worths to buy. Only the Fake Plastic Trees is really not that good. Really, go ahead, buy it ! You won't regret it. END
Rating: Summary: 7 outstanding & innovative music videos Review: Radiohead are just as creative and genre bending in their music videos as they are in their musical endeavors. U.S. fans will probably not have had a chance to see most of these before, so this collection is worth searching out. Great songs, great imagery! END
