Rating: Summary: What I expected Review: I cannot say much more than it was what I expected. I enjoyed the videos as much as I did on television. But this made the videos more accesable to me obviously. An extra they give you is that the videos are uncut and include subtle things but it is still a nice bonus. The good thing about this video is that the music videos are very perplexing just as their songs are. If you are a Radiohead fan, as I am, you must get this.
Rating: Summary: The best commercials I've ever seen... Review: It seems that the bands who make the best music make the best videos (NIN, MANSON, GARBAGE, APHEX TWIN) and Radiohead is no exception. I guess the price has gone from the traditional VHS (about 20 dolars) to what it is now (I'm guessing cause they no longer make it in america or something) Anyway if u have the the money, you should buy it. Also, this video doesn't have any of the Radiohead's videos from their first cd (that means no Creep)
Rating: Summary: Excellent compilation of Radiohead videos Review: This is a no nonsense compilation of Radiohead videos. If you love radiohead, then you will love this collection. There are no interviews, no commentary, no background info; it is just back to back videos, which makes it a great tape. Watching the videos in succession, one realizes that this band is artful in all of its endeavors. These videos feel nothing like most of MTV, instead, these feel like mini-movies with an amazing soundtrack. As the title suggests, it includes seven videos, so the tape is just over 1/2 an hour, about the perfect length of time to listen to some Radiohead with friends while explaining the meanings of "Fake Plastic Trees." The video includes the enigmatic video for "Just" that features a subtitled plot-line which is dropped at the final moment, leaving viewers awestruck with lots of questions. The video also includes "Paranoid Android," "Fake Plastic Trees" "No Surprises," "Street Spirit," "Karma Police" and "High and Dry".
Rating: Summary: good Review: even if you dont like the band, buy it now. its out of print and this is the last place youll ever find it. just a word of warning. ive been searching for it for a year.
Rating: Summary: You Are A Target Market! Review: Radiohead (said with reverence). The only bad part of 7 Television Commercials is that it ends. If you haven't seen the video's get it. If you have seen the video's, well now there's a nice video with 7.
Rating: Summary: A must buy for alternitive listeners Review: Radioheads 7 television commercials is a great video. With the order paranoid android, street spirit, no suprises, just, high and dry, karma police, and fake plastic trees. The order of the videos is like yorke is trying to tell you something. OK computer is a spine tingling, acid tripping tale about the fate of the soul in the digital age and also deserves 6 out of 5 stars. Radiohead is the best band in the world.
Rating: Summary: If it's RADIOHEAD,it is beautiful. Review: I bought this as soon as I could, and watched it almost non-stop for the first week I owned it.One great video ends and another great one starts. The only bad thing is there is an ending.I've had it for about 5-6 months now and still watch it often. This,as RADIOHEAD,is a wonderful thing. IF YOU'RE NOT IN CONTROL...WHO IS?
Rating: Summary: An array of entertaining vidoes by the greatest band. Review: Radiohead suprasses all bands in every gendre of music in all things- lyrical content, music, artwork, personality, and now, video. This tape is one of my most prized possessions simply because it encompasses so many types of film and style. It's thought-provoking, visually spectacular, but most of all, it's incredibly enertaining and can be enjoyed thousands of times before getting old.
Rating: Summary: our great reward Review: There's only one problem with this video, and it's not the artwork on the box, the videos themselves, the band, or the music. It's that after all this time we couldn't get a comprehensive collection of the videos of one of the world's greatest bands, no matter how out of date or embarrassing for them it might be. We deserve this.
Rating: Summary: What more can be said? Review: OK, let me start my review with the following lines: I'm keen on Radiohead for two years or so, and I've already enjoyed the simple yet awesome chord-ripping guitars on "The Bends"; The otherworldy/airy/nostalgy feeling "OK Computer" gives to me; And the sensitive, gentle and touching B-sides compilation named "Airbag/How Am I Driving?" (Although I didn't gave it a good review here it grew on me), not to mention Stanley Donwood's special artwork and design. So why should I review this title also? Answer: Because it's BRILLIANT. "Paranoid Android" and "Just" are definately the two most artistic and genuine videos ever made; Whilst the others have their own qualities to offer. "No Surprises", for instant, catches Thom Yorke demonstrating us all the feeling we should have when we are listening to the whole thing ("OK Computer" of course")- Which means calm and learning to enjoy the simple parts of life. Another one worth mentioning here is "Street Spirit"- This video inspired many TV commercials/modeling cameramen and directors with its black and white/slow motion effect. The other three videos however, although they doesn't make epics as "Paranoid Android" and "Just" all have their qualities- "Karma Police" holds a very original notion and uses very good camera positions; "Fake Plastic Trees" is very colourful and eye-catching, aswell as giving a spiritual side with the little boy in the end of the video; And the US version of "High And Dry", well....... Just wraps the song naturally and gives it more exciting sides along with the strong emotion in the song. So, for conclusion- This videos compilation is a must-have not only for die-hard Radiohead fans; But also to anyone who appreciate fine visual art. Enough said.
