Rating: Summary: Good Fun Review: This great DVD captures the essence of Harry Connick, Jr. very well. Although his piano-playing and New Orleans influence are noticeably sparse, this disc is about him swinging loud and hard. His big band, as usual, is tight and swings extremely well. The selection of songs is great, ranging from more intimate standards like "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" to upbeat originals like "Recipe for Love" and "We Are In Love". The disc is wonderfully intimate both visually and aurally. The sound is clear and strong, and the camera work doesn't get in the way of the performance. Often mischaracterized as a Sinatra clone, on this disc Connick manages to show his depth, musical ability, and pure charm. Make sure to check out his other, softer side with his older solo albums too.
Rating: Summary: GREAT DVD Review: This is a great music DVD - a good one for the whole family to enjoy!
