Summary: The man who is ahead of his time
Review: I watched In The Flesh so many times. It is really a masterpiece of the genius of Roger Waters. The band is amazing too. This album shows the maturity of Roger Waters' music talent.

Roger Waters is one of few artists that genuinely open your mind through his genius of music, to the power of a few that control lots of people's lives and dominate the money machine whether directly or indirectly. This man is ahead of his time. I hope he continues in telling it as it is, with honesty and integrity. Music should be a message about truth and social justice, and Roger Waters' music is about that.

PEACE and LOVE for all.

Summary: Great Release, MORE PLEASE!
Review: I have been waiting years for a Pink floyd, or branch of (i.e. Pulse), DVD to come out and this was just what i needed. Though more would be nice. Somehow members affiliated with Pink Floyd always deliver flawless performances. This show was great, Waters is only the begining, the rest of the band is spectacular. BUY THIS DVD!!

Summary: Top Shelf
Review: This disc ranks with the best there is on DVD. Audio and video production are as good as anything out today. I own over 30 live concert DVDs and this show is at the top of the list. If you have a Dolby Digital audio system, this is one of the best shows you'll see-- period.

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: Reg (or is it Rog?) did an INCREDIBLE job on this DVD.
The extras (preparing-the-tour documentary, etc.) are great, and enjoying. It is hard to believe many people think of Roger as dour when they see how easily and often he laughs in the documentary. Would have been cool to have an interview with Roger, but so be it.
I was a little disapointed to find that there was no booklet with the DVD, but knowing Roger, it probably would have taken another 2-4 years.
It does come with both audio and video settings refernece (pink noise and a Dolby 5.1 system diagram for audio, and color bars for video). But does anyone besides a few know WHAT to do with color bars?
Roger never looked happier than during Perfect Sense pt.2. He has spoken before in interviews about how much he loves it when the audience sings along with Nobody Home (NOT on this DVD). Well, the audience sang along with PS p.2, and Roger just walked up and down the stage with a huge smile, cheering the audience on.
I attended the last show on the tour in Providence (the DVD is from Portland, Oregon), and this is a great tribute to that tour.
All in all, slightly spartan, but another first class release from Roger Waters.

Summary: Outstanding Show, Outstanding DVD
Review: First off, the specs of this DVD are listed incorrectly ... The video is widescreen anamorphic (1.78:1 or 1.85:1) and the audio is PCM stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1. As for the picture and audio quality, both are quite fantastic. The use of discrete surround is frequent and effective. I was fortunate to see the shows live in Baltimore and Virginia last year, and Roger's enthusiasm and energy is captured very well by this video production. I'm very anxious to hear the SACD version of this concert as well, if ... ever manages to get it in stock! :-)

No matter which side of the Pink Floyd (Roger vs. Dave) you fall, you will definitely enjoy this DVD. You will be particularly pleased with the guitar playing of Doyle Bramhall II and Snowy White. They play very close to Gilmour's style, which is something that Roger's guitar players did not do in the Hitchhiking and Kaos tours.

I regret that I can only give this 5 stars, because this one goes to 11!

Summary: Excellent Concert / Excellent DVD
Review: I had 2nd row seats for this concert at the Rose Garden in Portland Oregon. Of course, I had to get the DVD as soon as it was released. It is all I hoped it would be and more. I highly recommend this DVD for any Floyd and/or Roger Waters fans. Think about it like this - you get over 2 hours of high quality concert footage with the sound quality that you would expect from Waters. Additionally, there is bonus material including rehersals, and still photos. There is an audio setup menu that allows you to fine tune your surround sound and you can even turn the subtitles on to make sure you haven't been singing any wrong lyrics over the years. You can buy the DVD, have it delivered, and still get change back from a twenty. What are you waiting for?

Summary: He just gets better with age.
Review: Phenomenal, bar none! Just what I would expect from the great man. It's going to be a hard act for anyone to follow in terms of a live, visual recording. Flawless sound, great camera angles, and above all, a group of marvellous musicians who obviously love what they do. Roger has lost nothing with age; if anything, he's better than ever. It only goes to prove one thing; He IS Pink Floyd! I'd seen Dave Gilmour's band a couple of times, and while enjoyable, the concerts lacked that most important ingredient..... Roger's voice....the agony is still there. I have to mention his two phenomenal guitar players, Doyle Bramhall II, and Snowy White. What a fantastic combination these guys are! It was my first exposure to Bramhall's playing, and he just blew me away! It's obvious that SRV has had a great influence on his style, and he's also the first leftie I've seen in a long time who plays with the strings inverted. Man, can he play! Snowy is all about tone, and is one of the most underestimated players around. The pair handle Dave Gilmour's material with ease, each with their own particular sound! The rehearsal footage is also fascinating, and just completes this masterpiece. The show is coming to Japan (where I live) in March, and I have tickets already! This DVD sure does whet the appetite! Simply brilliant! Buy it....you won't regret it.

Summary: Which One's Pink?
Review: Roger Waters In the Flesh DVD is, simply put, extraordinary. Captured live in Portland, Oregon, the DVD delivers music engineering at its cutting-edge best (thank you Mr. Guthrie) and is as visually breathtaking as it is seamless. At long last, the work of rock and rolls' most unique, powerful lyricist has been given the attention it deserves, and the result is nothing short of remarkable. On a scale of one to ten, I'd say this one's a 12. Mark Hunt / producer /Tom Dowd & the Language of Music

Summary: Pink Floyd is Pink Floyd !
Review: I was amazed watching this great concert. Sound and picture quality is good enough.Camera shows team players from different
points so you can see all of them. Technicaly players
are very well armed so everyone can make a solo.Roger has gathered most buityfull songs from most famous albums - "Dark side of the moon","The Wall", "Animals" and so on.Plus there are some new
songs too.I can watch it over and over again.I'd like Roger
to issue more DVD's.
