Summary: It's good but something is missing
Review: I bought the CD because a very good friend said that if I was such a big PF fan I should see Roger Live to get the whole picture, then I got the DVD as a Gift, and very recently I went to the live show in Mexico City. The DVD is very good, the songs of course are well known by every PF fan (some people have told me that they haven't heard before the post PF era of Waters). It was good watching old Roger singing and playing songs from his PF era, specially since he was the creative force of most songs.
The problem was that something was missing, it was really funny, specially in the concert, it was a very good show, but the songs sounded funny, like something was missing (PF was what was missing)for example snowy white did his best(he is a very good guitar player) but he is no David Gilmoure. What I'm trying to get at is that the present PF sound more like the "complete" PF that Roger Waters alone.
I'm sory Roger but as much as PF needs you, you need more of them.

Summary: I'm now a believer. Roger is Pink!
Review: Don't get me wrong, I was one of those who thought it arrogant of Waters to try and unilaterally disband Pink Floyd. And I was (and still am) glad they went on without him. But I must say that after watching this DVD it becomes clear that Waters was the one with the creative vision for the band. This concert has a certain vitality that seems to be lacking in the glossier Thunder and Pulse videos. I even liked the concert's emphasis on the music rather than the light show. And the cuts from his post Floyd era come across surprisingly well. I say this as someone who never cared much for Roger Waters' solo efforts. Of course it's always been apparent that Pink Floyd never had the same lyrical depth after Roger left the band. However the contrast seems greater in light of this video.

If Roger Waters was trying to make a point - Okay, I've got it. Point taken!

Summary: Great memories, disappointing DVD
Review: I saw Waters on both the 1999 and 2000 leg of his U.S. tour. Somehow, on this DVD, he has managed to drain all the joy, excitement, and exhiliaration from his live performances. What remains is a strangely sterile parody of what I saw. Even the camera shots are badly chosen.
There is also a choppy, boring documentary on this DVD, which gave me no new insight into Waters or his band.

Summary: My first and definitely not last Pink Floyd DVD
Review: OK, so it's not exactly Pink Floyd, but believe me - it's just as good, waters has surrounded himself with very talented people, and each one has excellent guitar and vocal skills, you should really see it, they play may kinds of instruments, and the performance is amazing. This is my first Pink FLoyd related DVD and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase, I could not expect something better, and as a guitarist - this is a wonderful performance, the solos in comfortably nub are amazing, the improvisations is wonderful, the Acoustic sessions are unbelievable, hey I could go on and on, why don't you just buy the CD and see for yourself? believe me it's worth every penny.

Summary: In the Flesh but no pulse
Review: I enjoy Pink Floyd tremendously,so I have been looking forward to their DVD. I have Pink Floyd Pulse vhs tape which I have watched a great number of times,a joyous concert. In The Flesh is far below the standards set in Pulse. The light show is not there, the three awesome female singers are not there (although there are three female singers), the joy the energy is saddly not there. It is though a concert and not like alot of "music DVDs" that have only a few minutes of music and hours of interviewing grade school teachers who remember the pranks the band members did when in 5th grade. I would buy it again but Pulse so much better. So if you love "In The
Flesh",which seems to be the general concensus, you must buy Pulse(vhs)you will be blessed and comfortably numb.

Summary: The Complete Waters on Concert
Review: As with the CD of the same name, this gives you a complete overview of Roger Waters carreer from Pink Floyd to his last studio Album Amused to Death.

As expected, Roger Waters band is made up of some of the best musicians in the business (like Andy Fareweather-Low now a regular with Eric Clapton). This gives you a great performance of all the songs. I have only seen the video once but I agree with those who have comment on the good video and sound quality.

Its hard to listen to the Pink Floyd tracks without comparing them to the original recordings or the most recent live recordings like Pulse. In this case, Water versions have a different light as he makes more emphasis on the vocals and less on copying the original feel or music note by note. Also, the band is made up of three guitarist that take turns in the solos and add their own personal feel to them.

Overall you get the complete "In the Flesh" concert as it was presented live and recorded on the CD. As Roger Waters was a key figure in the Pink Floyd concept you are getting both an antology of Floyd material through his interpretations of songs like Dogs, Set the controls for the heart of the sun, Eclipse, Brain Damage and many other obscure tracks. The special features are based on backstage and soundcheck footage. They are not really essencial but interesting to fans.

Summary: The Most Memorable Concert EVER!!!
Review: I knew I was in for a suprise when I went to this show in Portland Oregon in June of 2000 BUT MAN!!! Words escape me. Whenever I think of this concert my mind races from how truely amazing not only Waters himself is but also his choice of musicians to back him up. Doyle Bramhall is one of the most uniquely talented left handed guitarists of our time...and I wonder if anyone else notices. The entire ensembles ability to blend with Roger Waters mysticism leaves any Floyd lover without words. I was lucky enough to be at a recorded show and I can definitely say, this is well worth the buy! If this is the recording of the Oregon concert, the poker scene may not seem funny to you unless you saw them live...but still the best show I have been to in ages.

Summary: Must-Have one
Review: This is another Must-Have dvd to be one of the Floydians and a fan of Roger Waters. Otherwise, don't count yourself as one. Roger Waters and the band have created an amazing performance with wonderful audience. The sound and the picture quality is splendid. If you love PINK FLOYD and ROGER WATERS,and a ROCK-MUSIC lover, this ýs an INDISPENSIBLE concert dvd to be watched over and over again. You can't realize how fast time passes with Jacky on the rocks beside you. STANLEY KUBRICK's contribution to 'Perfect Sense' has made the song awesome. Hall's begging mercy to Dave on the background sound has put the bricks on the wall finally. 'What God Wants' could've added more flavors in the concert. I'm sure we all Roger Lovers will meet in the Garden one day. Fly high...
