Rating: Summary: JT at his musical best Review: If you are a JT fan, this DVD is a must for your collection. He plays many of his standards from years past, as well as some new cuts and some re-makes on old tunes. I've seen James in concert and he is typically much more animated live, so you have to "get past" how reserved he (and the audience) is on this DVD. However, is you like clean, crisp musicianship, this DVD is for you. The acoustic guitar work is exquisite; the band is tight. Get it!
Rating: Summary: Bravo James and group, Review: I believe this to be the best video concert I have ever seen. Watched it scores of times and never become tired of it. New renditions of old songs, "energized" and live with new harmonies. Shower the People makes me melt. It's absolutely a thrill. Too bad more don't have such talent and appearance of ease of performance. What a group he works with, too. I'm going to go listen to it now, again!
Rating: Summary: Excellent video and audio. First rate Review: The quintessential live music dvd. If you're a James Taylor fan or even come close to liking his music, or if you just enjoy good dvd, this will not disappoint. The colors are rich but not oversaturated. The edges are razor sharp, and the audio has great resolution throughout the bandwidth.
Rating: Summary: Great sound, great video; JT needs to cut that hair bozo! Review: If you like JT, you'll love it. The sound in Dolby Digital 5.1 is awesome and the video presentation is good. Very strange and inconvenient that you have to manually select DD5.1 every time you play the DVD..yuck. Someone needs to tell JT that yes, he has lost his hair and it's a good idea to cut it short on the sides else he looks like Bozo the clown which really takes away from the look - come on JT, look in the mirror for crying out load! Dagges
Rating: Summary: Must have for James Taylor Fans Review: Good sound quality but not quite up to the standards of the Eagles Hell Freezes Over on DTS. If you love James Taylor buy it.
Rating: Summary: My First DVD Purchase, a brilliant choice! Review: This is the first DVD I've bought. The sound and picture quality is so clear. As for the content one word...Brilliant.
Rating: Summary: So-so music Review: James Taylor performance is okay and unless you are a fan of his, it is not worth it.
Rating: Summary: Super! Review: I wish there were more DVD's of this quality. This was great..
Rating: Summary: If you're a Taylor fan, you will love this Review: I have enjoyed my DVD since purchasing it over a year ago. However, I have really enjoyed the concerts available on DVD. Taylor's is at the top of the list. I have purchased a number of other music DVDs and they all pale in comparison to this one. Obviously the sound quality of the DVD is great, the picture wonderful, but the length of the concert is twice that (an approximation) of an audio CD. Buy this one and you will not regret it. A word of caution, do not use the subtitles, or everyone watching will feel compelled to warble with James.
Rating: Summary: Taylor at his best; dvd at its best. Review: Absolutely terrific video and audio quality and concert content. Well worth the higher price (over the vhs version).
