Rating: Summary: Doesn't Get Any Better Than This Review: A DVD like this is the reason you set up the home theatre sound system. Excellent in every respect.
Rating: Summary: Reference Quality Concert DVD...One of the Finest! Review: After viewing dozens and dozens of concert DVD's, I have to say this has instantly become one of my all-time favorites. The quality of the audio & video (and thus the viewing experience) is phenomenal. TOP...TOP NOTCH!The DTS soundtrack is superb. The mix of the instruments is second to none for rock & roll style music. If you love the quality of the Diana Krall - Live in Paris DVD...then you will appreciate this one from Clapton. Same quality presentation, different genre. I especially love the tasteful use of crowd noise. It isn't overpowering like most concert DVD's where you constantly want to turn the volume down at the end of each song. This one is thoughtfully mixed providing the essential "just like being there" feeling without overpowering you with obscenely loud crowd ambience. The video is nearly as wonderful. I love the widescreen aspect ratio. It is the ONLY way to present a concert! Why aren't all concert DVD's widescreen?! With my Samsung DVD-HD931 upconverting the 460i to 720p (high definition) it looks superb. Unlike the recent Peter Gabriel DVD that is so grainy originally that it only looks worse when upconverted. Good colors and nice wide shots without too much panning or quick camera tricks. Cameras focus on the musicians who are being featured during segments of each song. Thankfully Clapton had a hand in mixing this baby! The result is an extremely tasteful video presentation. GRAB THIS ONE FOR YOUR COLLECTION. A real keeper...and sure to become one of your favorite demo discs.
Rating: Summary: Astounding Live Concert! Review: An excellent DVD to add to your collection! This DVD also has DTS, which makes it sound astounding. All for such a great price indeed.
Rating: Summary: Something for every fan of EC. Review: As a collector of live concert DVD's, this effort is excellent in video quality and very, very good in sound. A great mix of songs for those who love EC's blues efforts and rock/pop songs. I look for an experience that makes you feel like you're there. This DVD does that, but I would like some wider shots of the entire stage so you get the feel, but it would rank in my top ten just from the the overall production. A must buy for any Eric Clapton fan. That's the DVD. Now the concert in its own right is just fantastic. With Billy Preston on the Hammond organ and backing musicians - this is one really great performance as a whole. EC may not be at his best as some have pointed out, but his average is pretty great any day. Buy this DVD.
Rating: Summary: Quite Good Review: At first, I was reluctant to get this one. I was thinking "Oh, he's been around for so long,he probably sounds old & tired." Well, he HAS been around for a long time, but he sounds far from old & tired. In fact, Eric & his band sound fantastic. Some of the songs are new (Reptile, River of Tears) and some old classics (Layla, Sunshine of you're love) It doesn't really matter if they're old or new,Eric gives them new life. While the whole thing was good, some highlights for me were: - "Key to the Highway" -which just shows Eric with an acoustic guitar and without his bandmates - fantastic. -"Got you on my Mind" -cover of the Joe Turner song - Eric & Friends in top Form -"Tears in Heaven" -Nothing new here, just a great performance -"Bell Bottom Blues" -The classic Derek & The Dominos gets the acoustic treatment -"Change the World" - soulful! -"Layla" always a classic The only gripe I have about this is that Clapton looks so serious all the time. Come on Eric, enjoy yourself! when you do, we do! Highly reccomended

Rating: Summary: Hey, God is not Dead.. Review: Eric Clapton and this God-like talent settle into a masterful performance with the help of a great band of seasoned musicians. You can see that Eric knows these guys are good and he has no problem letting them play, and an aura of professional respect between the band adds to the feel of the evening. As always, Clapton rips up a host of great blues songs and favorites, but the mature Eric also delivers on a beautiful version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" to balance, while stand out tunes "Reptile", and Freddy King's "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" take on lives of their own. As an added bonus, the unbeleivable Hammond organ soloing of Billy Preston just doesn't get much better. All this, packaged in an envelope of excellent DTS sound....
Rating: Summary: SPECTACULAR! Review: Eric Clapton et al are fantastic, and they are live! He opens with an acoustic set with Billy Preston on keyboards. After that, be prepared to thoroughly enjoy Clapton at his best as he does Tears In Heaven, Badge, My Father's Eyes. Thinkin' that an aged Clapton can't possibly still rock? Guess again! Hard to believe that Sunshine of Your Love can still sound so good after so many years, but it does. There's also a "bluesy" Hoochee Coochee man that'll have you tappin' your toes. There isn't a track here that didn't blow me away. The legend lives on. Gotta have this one!
Rating: Summary: "Eric Clapton Rocks" Review: First and foremost this DVD is worth buying not only for its superb sound & video quality but for Eric clapton's performance and his band. They are totally amazing and exceptionally great musicians. So don't doubt this Musical genius & icon as he is one of the best in "Music History". Buy it !!!!!!!!
