Rating: Summary: Amazingly well done DVD & CD Review: First off I wasn't a huge fan of Coldplay until I saw them live in September of last year in Boston. They put on an incredible, energetic show that blew me away. When this DVD came out I had heard Moses, the new single and was impressed so I bought it. I have to say I ended up stay up WAY too late the night I bought it watching the whole concert and the Tour Diary. I actually got goose bumps watching it. This DVD/CD is worth every penny.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: For those who are fans of Coldplay this collection is a must for your DVD library. I am a fan of Colplay but more importantly I am a fan of "Live" DVDs that capture the essense of the live experience. After seeing Colplay live numerous times this DVD perfectly captures the experience. Although Colplay is still a band in its seminal stages this CD/DVD collection offers and eclectic collection of the bands material. I was quie impressed to hear "See you soon" certainly a favorite. While U2's Elevation DVD was wonderful, at times it seemed over produced. The variety of camera angles an editing techniques make the Colplay DVD memorable and a worthwhile purchase.
Rating: Summary: Fairly Lame Audio Mix and Jumpy Camera Work Spoil Review: Great energy. Probably a great live concert. However, the production quality both audio and video make this DVD a watch once and sell candidate for me.I own over 30+ concert DVD's by a large variety of artists and styles. In addition I have spent a great deal of time and money tweaking a pretty sweet home theater setup. In addition I've been a musician for 20+ years. I love music...get it? Unfortunately the audio (even the DTS track) is rather MID-HEAVY with tons of vocal and guitar in an exaggerated mid-band frequency. When you really crank it up (90+ dB) it become really annoying sounding. The bass guitar starts to come through, but the drums can barely be heard even at these levels. Just a poor mix. Someone with the right skills could take the same source and make it sound awesome...like the mix on Eric Clapton's "One More Car, One More Rider" for example. Now that's a nice sounding concert DVD! One of the best! The video (other than being kinda washed out) is just a bit over-produced for my tastes. Too many quick paced camera angle changes. Not a vivid concert, but that was probably just how the live show was...muted and monochromatic. Unfortunately, the energy and performance are really great. Only the average/poor production can be blamed for this "listen once and sell" product. I guess the rabid fans may keep it, but not someone who is an audiophile and sincerely appreciates music when it is well performed and recorded. Oh, well. Maybe next time.

Rating: Summary: Coldplay at their best Review: I bought this the Morning it was released. Anyway, it's an awesome recording of a great show. The included CD is the same show, but with 5 songs missing. I give the editing a 4.5. The DVD is masterfully created, with 3-d high tech menus and interactive displays. The show itself is a great spectacle with multi-angle display on a few of the songs. I've always wanted a DVD that does that :) The 40-minute tour diary is practically a separate show in and of itself. Really great camera angles. They warn epileptics of the strobes in this show, and they're not kidding. Especially in the dark. Coldplay is known for their strobes and laser effects. I only wished there were more songs from Parachutes on this thing, but overall I am overly happy with what they came out with. If you even remotely like Coldplay you will love sitting back and watching this live show. The show is shot so well that you don't even have to be a long time groupie like me to fully appreciate it.
Rating: Summary: Amazing that its not dubbed Review: I can't believe someone wrote Chris Martin sings off key. I spent the first 5 minutes trying to make sure it wasn't dubbed, because the band and singing sound so excellent! Better than probably anyone I've seen live, in being able to reproduce the quality of a studio album. I do so love Cold Play, but usually hate live albums and this cd is incredible. The video is great, and their performance is so exciting. Crank it up and groove!
Rating: Summary: Great work! Review: I enjoyed this DVD very much. I was especially happy that the CD came with it. One thing that I noticed was how much more aggressive they sound live. Never did I realize how Pink Floyd-ish the song A Rush of Blood to the head was. Also surprising was the improvised version of Trouble during sound check in the tour diary. Great job, but the only complaints I have are that they left out some of the songs from the DVD on the CD, and that they showed a little too much of Chris Martin. It would have been nice to see everyone else do their thing too.
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable Performance Review: I got this DVD expecting it to be some poorly shot concert with poor surround sound and limited features. It was cheap so I bought it anyway. I turned it on and instantly found I was completely wrong. The visuals were the first things i noticed. Instead of predictable sweeping cameras and profile shots, the cinematics were very original and captivating. The cinematography matched the intensity and setting of the band: When the opening number started, the music pounded and the visuals become so jumpy I just got lost and faded into the music. The audio is in DTS 5.1 and is equaly as good as the visuals. It doesnt sound like your at the concert; it sounds better. The music covers you, but unlike other 5.1 music dvds, the sound is stationary - none of the sounds jump around. This creates a more consistant sound, and is excellent to just sit down, relax and completely fade right into the music.
Rating: Summary: You have got to be kidding me! Review: I loved Coldplay's other two albums, but I have never heard such crap! I am ashamed to say that it is not worth the money. He sings out of tune and can't harmonize for crap! Five stars come on people...rate the CD not the Band!
Rating: Summary: Coldplay continues to rock on Review: I saw the special showing of the dvd in theatres and now I have it on my own dvd. I seriously have watched it five times in the past three days since I got it. I definitely recommend this title to any fan of coldplay. It's definitely worth the money paid!!!!!! Everything is so good. The way it is shot. The quality of the performance. The tour journal. Everything. BUY THIS TITLE, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! :)
