Rating: Summary: But it and don't even think about it! Review: This is the best demonstration of DTS you will hear based on the now available DTS titles. Excellent sound, great performances this has to be the best DVD I have ever seen. Have a party and bring everyone in to see and hear a virual live convert. It's probably better than being there. If you also have a large screen TV even better. I can't recommend this DTS version enough. You will not be disapointed, unless of course you don't like the Eagles.
Rating: Summary: Deja-vue all over again. These voices are why DTS was born. Review: This is a recipie for a great performance. Take today's state of the art audio capabilities, add many of the great classic songs ever written and bring back one of the best bands of the rock era who amazingly have retained their wonderful voices and musical skills, and Voi-La !! If you don't have a DVD set-up with DTS abilites this event could be the reason to consider saving those hard earned dollars and get one. There are so many wonderful cuts on this album, I wouldn't know where to start, but if the words "desperado" "tequila sunrise" and "Winslo Arizona" make you start humming a tune with a smile in your heart then this ones for you...
Rating: Summary: The most effective DTS demo -- Period! Review: After weeks of searching for the perfect DTS demo disc on either DVD or LD, it would seem almost anti-climactic that my search ended with a live performance of a classic rock group instead of an explosions-and-gunshots assault on the senses. Instead, this disc proves without a doubt that while any program can be loud just for the sake of being loud, it's only through the subtlety and detail of a DVD like this that shows just how superior the DTS surround format really is. From the sound of the picks scratching the guitar strings, to the soaring harmonies of the vocalists, to the downright eerie way that bongo drum in the beginning of "Hotel California" seems to hang in the air just right of the right speaker, this DVD will show off your DTS-equipped rig more effectively than any other program could. If you're even half as fanatic about your rig as I am, do yourself a big favor and get this disc. You will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Amazing peace of entertainment Review: I have bought this peace of art after buying my new Hometheater system. Sound and picture are amazing. Do not miss this one !!!
Rating: Summary: Truly amazing sound for a live performance! Review: Definitely *THE* dts dvd to show off or test a home theater system. "Seven Bridges Road" (dts bonus track) vocals are awesome, with a distinct voice coming from each of the five channels. If you are even the slightest fan of The Eagles, you should give this a listen!
Rating: Summary: The DTS sound was excellent! Review: I had not purchased this disk because it was a live recording and I have experienced poor quality on other live recordings. This on however was excellent. It was mastered to take full advantage of DTS and the quality was better then some studio recordings.
Rating: Summary: The Eagles makes you want to buy a dts decoder. Review: Beautiful sound I have ever experienced. dts kills Dolby
Rating: Summary: Music The Way It Should Be ! Review: What an amazing production. As a professional musician,I can greatly appreciate the efforts made to produce such a fantastic quality DVD. The Eagles are so talented and provide a tight rendendition of their music. Easily worth the price!
Rating: Summary: outstanding preformance and upholding vocals Review: This was my first dvd i bought and probably the best I will ever have. I am a EAGLES fan for some 20 or so years but when I sat and watched this I was having chills on my spine about there performance. This makes feel much better than when I was parting in the 70's. Nothing like good home grown music and vocals. Timothy B kills me with his high vocals but plays the bass, these guys have made a real dream come true buy and enjoy
Rating: Summary: A wonderful reunitement of a great group Review: After a prelim of comments and show & tell, the concert gets into it with old and new Eagles. Although a bit tentative in the first half, as though they are getting used to each other again and not quite sure about it, the second half makes up for it in great (!) measure. The DTS sound really holds you in, the music is great! I rented it, and have now bought it, as it's one that I'll play often. Aside: a great demo disc and workout for your new surround sound system!
