Rating: Summary: COLOURFUL FLAVORS AND A SILKEN DIVA VOICE Review: Sarah Brightman's ethereal voice needs no introduction. But spice her music with some vibrant rhythms of forbidden places from the mediterranean to Arabia and India, and you have an album that you'll listen many times over. Excellent collaborations and great range of sounds. The DVD itself could have accommodated so much more, it barely manages to include some still pictures, but that's a minor quibble for this absolutely fantastic purchase. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Music Video not the Concert Review: Saw the show and got this DVD. The sound (Dolby 5.1) is superior and the performance is nice to watch. Be advised this is a one hour music video with one track from a live performance, not the Harem Tour live. Includes a 30 minute documentary on the making of the DVD.
Rating: Summary: Magnificence drips from her every pore Review: This DVD is a must have for anyone who appreciates the Arts. She is truly an amazing artist. The imagery, the sound quality thanks to the 5.1 surround is outstanding.
Rating: Summary: lovely voice, lush scenery, great video! Review: This is a collection of music videos Sarah filmed in exotic locales such as Morocco and Egypt. "Desert Fantasy" is a terrific name for this DVD. What we get is a visual feast with this DVD. If you enjoyed her 'Harem' album, this could definitely be a delight for you. She re-visits songs from previous albums ("Anytime, Anywhere" and "Time to Say Goodbye") and reshoots new videos for them. There's also included a live "Nessun Dorma" performance from her 'La Luna' tour. If you've seen the 'La Luna' concert, though, it's nothing new. The list includes: 1) Harem 2) Beautiful 3) Mysterious Days 4) Anytime, Anywhere 5) It's A Beautiful Day 6) Free 7) The War Is Over 8) What You Never Know 9) Stranger In Paradise 10) Nessun Dorma (live) 11) What A Wonderful World 12) The Journey Home 13) Time To Say Goodbye The cinematography is beautiful, Sarah is gorgeous, and the entire DVD is a lovely compliment to her music. As we all know, Sarah B. loves themes, lush images, and her albums have every bit to do with her imaginative sceneries as it does the music. I'll use this DVD to hold me over until the 'Harem' concert's released on DVD (which I sincerely hope happens). If only MTV played videos like this! Oh, and, yes, as another reviewer noted, Sarah does a bit of light dancing in the videos, but I must correct the statement that she's not a dancer. She was a professional dancer (a classically trained ballerina, I believe) before she ever got involved in singing, which is a fact she demonstrates wonderfully in this DVD with her grace and carriage.

Rating: Summary: Tears of joy Review: This is a tremendous DVD. I have watched it three times so far and each time it leaves me with tears of joy. Sarah has really produced a masterpiece. The most impressive part is the sound. It is not DTS but rather Dolby 5.1. However the music clarity and quality surpass almost every music DVD I own! Also, there is great use of the back speakers on many songs. The videos are all entertaining, colorful, and creative--a joy to behold. The only true negative, which one reviewer has already mentioned, is that the videos are all a bit hazy looking instead of being razor sharp. I'm not sure why they filmed it that way. Having one live concert segment thrown in also seemed a little out of place but I can live with that. In summary, I have not felt this level of excitement over a DVD in ages! WOW.
Rating: Summary: The Angel Of Song Strikes Again! Review: What can I say but 'Wow!' again! I am thoroughly pleased and awe-struck again by Sarah Brightman's performance in this collection of ethereal and lush videos. When I play this and the room begins to swell with Sarah's angelic voice, and the candles begin to flicker and cast shadows on the walls, then I know that I am in paradise. This is a perfect companion to the CD/DVD 'Harem' with the visualization of various songs from the album, and just increases my already heightened adoration of Sarah Brightman. I eagerly await the arrival of the her Tour on DVD and will place my order as soon as I get word. This is undoubtedly another addition brilliant addition to my current Sarah Brightman collection as I am sure it will be to all of her many fans. Bravisimo!
Rating: Summary: Not her best work Review: When compared to her other musical works, this CD does not show her true range, or ability. Usually when I buy one of her CDs. I listen to it for days on end. I listened to this CD several times, trying to like it, and found none of the incredible sounds and beauty that normally abound in one of her CD. The songs that were chosen for this CD did nothing for her voice and her voice was not befitting the songs. All in all it was a very disapointing CD which is now gathering dust.
Rating: Summary: Sarah Does It Again! Review: WOW! This DVD is lush, sensual and yes, erotic, as is Sarah herself! I have the Harem CD and absolutely love it! This DVD takes the musick and makes it come alive.
The settings, the costumes, and the other performers are absolutely great! After watching this DVD it gave me some great ideas for a wonderful fantasy for my husband and I!
But oddly enough, my favorite song on this DVD as well as the album it's taken from, is not a Middle Eastern song at all! It's the old Louis Armstrong song "What A Wonderful World."
The reason I love this song so is that it's about my strongest belief. Love, love of all kinds!
Obviously, highly reccomended!
