Summary: Excellent Britney DVD!
Review: "Time Out With Britney" is Britney Spears's first homevideo and definitely a must have for all Britney fans. The DVD includes an interview with Britney on how she started singing, how she became a Mousketeer ("The New Mickey Mouse Club"), etc. You also get the full-length version music videos for "(You Drive Me) Crazy" (the 'STOP' Remix), "...Baby One More Time", and "Sometimes". You also get exclusive behind-the-sceens look at the making of the music videos plus an extended behind-the-sceens look at the making of the "Sometimes" music video. But that's not all! You'll also get the Disney Channel concert special with Britney performing and you'll meet a lot of the people who work with Britney including her choreographer and other people like that. Also added with this DVD is a cassette sampler with the 'STOP' Remix for "(You Drive Me) Crazy" song plus some samples from other artists as well. "Time Out With Britney" is exactly what any Britney fan would want and definitely a must-have Britney item!

Summary: Amazing!
Review: An amazing video to watch of Miss Spears!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Essential for all you Britney fans out there!
Review: Britney Spears is the fastest-selling female artist of all-time, shifting 60 million albums in the space of just over 3 years! She's the biggest female pop phenomenon since Madonna and this video defines why she is just that. This is the first home video from Britney and was released in November/December 1999 and is one of the most successful music videos in years! The video features music videos, exclusive interviews and backstage information that you won't find anywhere else...

The video begins with Growing Up. This first section focuses on Britney's life as a child. She talks exclusively about her childhood, how she got started on the road to stardom and gives us a peek inside her own family photo album. This first section is really mellow and sweet with lots of great footage of Britney as a young kid in various places such as dance rehersals and auditions. The second section in the video is Recording My First Album. After Britney graduated from school, she flew to Sweden to record her amazing first album, Baby One More Time after she secured a record deal with Jive Records. Britney also gives her own personal guide to a few tracks, such as Sometimes and Baby One More Time. This part of the video is good, but I think they could've spent more time on it - like letting Britney give her personal opinion on every song, not just a few. The next section in Making Music Videos. We get to see Britney behind-the-scenes filming her first three music videos for Baby One More Time, Sometimes and (You Drive Me) Crazy. The video for Baby One More Time is absolutely superb - I'm SURE you've seen it before. The idea of Britney dressed as a schoolgirl was genius, as it appealed to young girls, middle-aged men and practically every teenage boy on Earth! Britney knows how to promote herself - after all, sex sells. The second video is Sometimes. This video is set on the beach and is a perfect summer video for the summer of 1999! The third and final video on Time Out With Britney is (You Drive Me) Crazy. This video caused outrage amongst American Family groups who accused Britney of provoking young girls into dressing sexily, years before they were "suppose to". Along with a good mind for business, Britney Spears also knows how to cause controversy - just like Madonna. The video obviously worked - I was transfixed to the TV set for three and a half minutes every time the video came on. Face it, she looks hot in this video! The next section in Time Out With Britney is called On The Road. You get to follow Britney on tour and get an exclusive backstage access. This section is short but sweet, and probably the worst section of the video. The final section in this great music video is Disney Channel In Concert. We get to see Britney perform two songs - Born To Make You Happy and From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart - from her debut album, Baby One More Time which has sold 24 million copies worldwide! This section is taken from USA Disney Channel's "Britney Spears and Joey McIntyre In Concert" programme. This section is splendid and the performances are very upbeat.

OVERALL GRADE: 10/10

All in all, Time Out With Britney is an absolute must have for every Britney fan in the world! If you like this video, you have to buy Britney's other music home videos - Britney Spears Live And More!, Britney: The Videos and Britney Spears Live From Las Vegas. But if there's one Britney video you should buy first, it's definitely Time Out With Britney - buy it now from Amazon!

Summary: An awesome package that no fan can live without!
Review: As a huge fan of Britney's music and everything else she does, I may be biased, but this is an extremely good and well thought-out video.

From a fan's perspective, all I expected in buying this was her videos and maybe a few interviews, but this goes above and beyond that.

From the opening screen, you can choose one of many options:

View the entire documentary of 54 minutes (interviews, behind the scenes, videos, live performances)

Go to certain sections of the interviews (childhood, first album, making videos, touring)

Watch the videos ("...Baby One More Time", "Sometimes", and "(You Drive Me) Crazy", with or without lyrics as subtitles, great quality video and sound as well)

Watch a concert from a Disney channel special (live performances of "Born To Make You Happy" and "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart")

Link to her website

Or, you can look at pictures, a text biography, or play a trivia game (if you get all the questions right, which I did after about 3 tries, you get to see a bonus clip of her and her mom)

Overall, this is a great package of interviews, videos, behind the scenes footage, and other neat stuff that no true fan can live without.

Summary: 2 Versions of "Sometimes" bonus!
Review: ...To see the different version of "Sometimes", go to the [Videos] section. It has a different scene near the beginning with more from the group dancing on the pier.If you want to see the version that we are all familiar with, go to the [Making The Videos] section, and enter the time value T: /4/ 29:14 on your remote, and it will take you straight to the as-aired version. You will notice that the picture is not as sharp, but it's the difference between DVD, and the LaserDisc or SuperVHS that was sent to the TV networks originally. It's not that big a difference, but you do notice it. ...

Summary: Not bad but it could be better
Review: I bought this DVD cause I love Britney, but i expacted a little more. The videos are really good of course, but biography is a little bit too long and boring. Recording the album is boring too. The good part of the DVD are the videos and Disney Channel In Concert where she sings Born To Make You Happy and From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart, and she sings really good. The DVD is a little too short, as well. From the multimedia part I love the photos and a Trivia game, only the prize interview is too short.

Summary: Ok
Review: After buying Lennifer lopez- feelin so god DVD and Christina aguilera-genie gets her wish DVD I thought I might as well buy this to start my DVD music collection. So I did.

I took it home expecting it to be so much fun but it just fell flat on it's face. Britney darling you look terrible without makeup and you talk way too much about yourself, enough to put any guy off.All i got for the first 15 minutes was her going on and on and on. It might of been more interesting if the interviews were done in different places but its just Britney in the same chair. next is recording her album. How repetitive does this part wanna be?

The real treat are the videos and makings of, the only good parts of the DVD, but these videos are nothing special as we have all seen them about a million times on MTV. lastly is the Disney channel in concert. This is quite sweet. But I can't quite tell if it's live or not? does any1 know? She shows her sweetness in this part. And THEN....It's all over. It was so short.

It did'nt show enough real peformances, exclusive behind the scenes, or her life on the road, just Britney in a chair, so if like to look at her fat leg for ages then buy this. Don't get me wrong I do love Britney, why would I buy this If I hated her. But after seeing Genie gets her wish by Christina aguilera, I guess thats the excellent quality of a music DVD that I've come to expect now. Genie made me instatly fall in love with Christina's personality and her sense of humour frolicking with her dancers. This did'nt really bring out any strong points in Britneys personality.

This is great if you want the videos But poor if you want really exclusive behind the scenes stuff. Theres no real special footage.

Baby what you see is what you get!
