Rating: Summary: Classic Albums : Number Of The Beast DVD Review: Nothing Iron Maiden have put out is better than this. It has everything from Adrian Smith showing us riffs, to live performances during the Beast On The Road tour in 1982 at the Hammersmith Odeon.....It dives in deep insde the making of this Classic Album, with segments of mixing it with M. Birch as well. It has some footage of a few things that are on the "12 Wasted Years" video which is good because that video is so hard to find these days..... All in all, this is the most up close and personal thing I've ever seen from Iron Maiden. It's very enjoyable from start to finish. I don't want to ruin it for you, so just trust me when I say.....Buy it now!!! You'll never look at the "Number Of The Beast" album the same again!!! UP THE IRONS!!!!
Rating: Summary: Up the Irons Review: The really amazing Iron Maiden first Dvd (Raising Hell wasnt so good dvd)...a real must for a Maiden fan,all those rumors you ever heared about The Number Of The Beast album they are all there even Clive Burr got interviwed which i found it to be so cool, well made dvd im happy i got it.
Rating: Summary: An interesting collection ! Review: This dvd highlights each song of the Number of the Beast album from beginning to end. This play the original songs with interruption of comments like the storys behind the songs, the interviews. I liked too much the sneek peek at the new Rock in Rio DVD, is really worth to buy it !. It was also nice to see old drummer Clive Burr, and I was saddened by his illness. I would like to see a recopilation of the life of the other members like Paul Di Anno...
Rating: Summary: Don't Buy This if You're Expecting a Concert Review: This DVD is 99% interviews and if I had known that, I never would have wasted my money. What a disappointment. Sure its a good documentary of the making of the album, but I was expecting more concert footage. There is not one song played from start to finish on this whole video. As soon as you start jammin to the first 10 seconds of your favorite song, they cut into it with an interview. Very annoying. If you want to watch and listen to the band crank out some classic metal, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS DVD!
Rating: Summary: Highest recommendation! Review: This DVD is a behind the scenes look at the making of the album "Number of the Beast." This album was a breakthrough in several ways as it established Iron Maiden as a worldwide phenomenon, and introduced Bruce Dickinson as the new singer. Bruce brought about a major change in Iron Maiden's sound and presentation. Sadly, "Number of the Beast" was the last album for drummer Clive Burr. Burr, who has never been interviewed about his days in the band, does appear in this DVD. That alone makes it worth owning in my opinion. Martin Birch takes the viewer through the mixing and production aspects of the album and this is also very enjoyable. Buy this DVD! I saw the band on this tour and can tell you this is probably the best lineup they ever had. Clive Burr and Steve Harris make for an extemely solid rhythm section and the addition of Bruce Dickinson means there is not a weak link anywhere in this lineup. "Up The Hammers" Clive and thanks! I spent my youth listening to the likes of you and Cozy Powell.
Rating: Summary: Misleading Review: This DVD is a documentary on the making of the album. It was highly disappointing to be teased with a few seconds of the music videos followed by endless boring commentary. There is very little concert footage from the 82 show, nearly all is from the most recent concert. If you are a die hard fan from the early 80's and are wanting to watch awesome concert footage, this is not the DVD for you!!!!!!! If you want to see the videos from this album, this is not the DVD you want!!!!!! If you enjoy endless commentary, I guess you'll love this DVD!!!!!! We are very, very disappointed with the sneaky way the description reads, it implies what we hoped to get but uses language that they can claim is accurate in a subtle way. What scumbags!!!!

Rating: Summary: EDDIE LIVES..... UP THE IRONS ! Review: This is a rather stunning DVD of the greatest british metal band ever (thats right Sabbath fans). From the in-depth interviews to the all to rare professionally shot "Beast On THe Road '82" footage, this is a must see. All the great songs from The Number Of The Beast are represented here in fine form, with stories and thoughts included from all the band. Watching Adrian Smith play some of the complex guitar parts, unaccompanied by the others, is also also a nice highlight. As Dave Mustaine states, "When Maiden came on TV, you sat up and took notice!". So, what are YOU waiting for, sit up and take notice!
Rating: Summary: Don't expect concert, expect interviews Review: Well, what I recommend is that buy this dvd if you're a huge Maiden fan or new wave of british heavy metal collector. You'll get behind the scenes of "the making of" of the number of the beast and 30 second cuts from the concerts. Ok, the interviews and the playings of the riffs of Children of the Damned and Number of the Beast are cool, Hallowed be thy Name cut from Rock in Rio is cool, but that's all about it. I think my title summarizes everything. Do not expect live shows, but expect interviews. My star grading depends on a subjective point-of-view, since I'm a huge Maiden fan. I'd rather see "Live After Death" title in DVDs. I think people would like it more than this title. I can't understand why Maiden doesn't make the DVD of this great-concert-of-all-times.
