Summary: Good
Review: I really don't like too much this video set. I like the video that have the video clips from TV, i cant remember the name, the one that has LA WOMAN, the others 2 are not very interesting. The Soft Parade is good. The Live video, is good too, but really i like only 1 video of this set.

Summary: BIEN VIAJE.....
Review: I recently purchased this video to remember a more nastalgic era in Rock-n-Roll history. The Doors were my favorite rock group in high school. But then, some of my favorite memories included times in which I could lose touch with reality. While the music still offers excellent listening value, the video representations reminded me why I left the drug scene. But for those of you still living in the past, this video is a good trip.....

Summary: I expected more but that is ok
Review: I'm a hardcore Doors Fan and I would by this DVD anyway just to have it, the images are ok and I already have all the video tapes, I expected more interviews, new stuff, more content other them just the 3 video tapes and a quick think with krieger and other with Densmore, but if are a fan like me, buy it, if you expect anything new or supper extraordinary you won't find here, I have many bootleg videos that have much more interesting content them this DVD.

Thank you.

Summary: SPECTACULAR, a must have.
Review: If you are a true Doors fan you MUST have this DVD. Three of their best compilations combined into one definitive DVD.

Summary: A Must Have!
Review: If you are an avid Doors fan - get this DVD. The narration by the remaining Doors members is very informative. The new version of "The End" recorded in Arthur Barrow's studio(Lotek in Venice, Ca)is hypnotizing. If you want a behind the scenes update of "The Doors" - this is it. I thought it was very interesting to see Ray Manzarek's apartment in Venice, Ca where they lived and Jim Morrison lived there with them for a while. The films "Evergreen" and "Induction" that Ray put together while at UCLA was also intriguing. Too much great information, film, and music to list all here. Get it - you won't be sorry you did.

Summary: buy this now-- it is well worth it.
Review: If you like the doors.. buy this DVD. I've watched it several times already. The sound is very well done and this one DVD has videos, the full hollywood bowl concert (sounds as good as the CD), the soft parade 'film', and runs nearly 3 hours. A second audio track is included as well (like most DVDs have), where the remaining doors talk about the footage being shown. "Kirk"'s comment above about the audio commentary is incorrect-- maybe you're on the funny stuff-- There is nearly 3 hours of the guys talking on that second track, man. (Some of those comments had me laughing out loud.) This DVD is well worth the money.

Also, the DVD has other cool bonus stuff, like a memorabilia section, and Ray's student films (Good historical snapshot I suppose-- I dunno-- they make me wonder about my friends' USC student films if these are two examples from UCLA! Video producing wasn't as easy thirty-odd years ago as it is today).

To the doors: thank you for this DVD! The video quality is excellent, and the sound is CD-quality-- it doesn't get much better. I want to see more of the Densmore 1-man play!

By the way doors fans.. Jim teaches an excellent lesson: keep it in moderation!

get your mind together / by blowing it apart

Summary: Don't pass this up
Review: If you love the Doors and have a DVD player there is no reason for you not to already have this stunning collection. Three amazing videos all combined into one beautiful masterpiece. The sounds quality is very good. This is easily worth the money.

Summary: The Doors Collection
Review: Is the dvd worth it? Compared to other documentaries on the Doors, yes. One disappointment was the misconception of the audio commentary. That for me was the main selling point. It last less than sixty seconds. All that is said is welcome, and that they hope that you enjoy it.A bit disappointing, if not misleading It's not the type of dvd that you will watch all the way through. It's a bit repetitious. Especially the first two. However, watched individually, most enjoyable. It's more like music video, concert, and a short film by Ray Manzarek. I'm happy I purchased it. It was worth the twenty I spent.

Summary: HEAR JIM'S REAL VOICE!
Review: Jim Morrison's voice changed so much as an adult that it has become an increasingly interesting topic to me. Sometimes, he sounded like an 18 year-old kid when he was actually mid-20's, and sometimes his voice became really raspy and deep. His singing voice was categorized as a baritone, meaning it was a deep voice, but you'd never think his real voice sounded like it really did. He was such an intriguing person that even his voice was a cause for interest. When he was famous and in the spotlight, he barely ever said anything public when he wasn't on stage. He was a reserved person when he wasn't performing, and may have been aware of how peculiar his voice was, but the fact that this DVD went the extra mile to find footage of him just lounging around, relaxing with Ray, Robby and John made it that much better. A lot of the stuff that you only hear about you get to actually see in this DVD, including their controversial appearance on Ed Sullivan. You also get to see the Hollywood Bowl concert on July 5, 1983 in its entirety. The Doors may have been the greatest band of all time.
