Summary: GARBAGE - not worth one star
Review: I am a huge Dylan fan and I have never been more disappointed. Mickey Jones is misleading everyone by using Dylan's name. This DVD is TRASH. It has nothing to do with Dylan. It is Mickey Jones trying to make a buck on 15 minutes of fame. You see nothing of the concert because Mickey Jones talks the entire 45 minutes.

Review: This is a God awful film. It's filmed in 8MM by Dylan's drummer at the time and shows very little of Dylan. If you want to throw away your money, please give it to the charity of your choice. This is GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HIDEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Summary: Nothing's Happening Mr Jones
Review: Dylan may have once said "no offense Mr Jones" as he finished 'Ballad of a Thin Man' on his '66 tour but I'm pretty sure he'd take offense now.This DVD should not exist. And Mr Jones - who it turns out is clueless after all - should stick to being a bad actor. He was once able to provide Dylan with the backbeat he needed - the music
was every bit as important as he claims - but these home movies should have stayed at home. I once thought Ringo was the luckiest man alive. Ringo,
step aside for Mr Jones.

Review: this film is positively painful to try and watch. i got it and took it straight to a friend's house (fellow dylan fan) and we wound up simply horrified that good money was spent on this travesty. as for the reviewer who wote in 2003, this film has been available from Mickey Jones on a website for a couple of years or so now, so that how they got it...NOT necessarily a bootleg. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS...trust me...

Summary: Yikes! Can I return it?
Review: I was so much looking forward to watching this TOUR film, but felt like a voyeur, just getting fleeting dark, fuzzy, distant glimpses ("is that...? Wait, go back.. oh forget it.. now who's THAT?") between concerts of some poor people who were tired, wanting privacy and some relaxation. Like a murky dream. I doubt that this would even appeal to a real hard-core Bob Dylan fanatical collector, it's meant for Mickey Jones fans. Dylan does NOT look like he wants to be filmed, and probably dead-tired at best. The only thing I thought I was buying - solid concert footage - is absent. I felt embarrassed getting brief glimpses of these people trying to have a normal tourist's life between shows. There is audio of the "Judas!" shout and Dylan's response, and that may interest some. You do get the feel of 1966, but it is what it says it is: home movies. 30 year-old quality. You like lots of shots from planes and buses? This was MADE for you! Or watch Rick Steves on PBS for some real travel info. You just won't see the back of Dylan's head, and Mickey Jones talking about himself for at least the first 45 minutes (watched the clock, checked the title: "Is this about Mickey Jones?!"). It IS a real home movie and you do get a glimpse (heavy emphasis on 'glimpse') of the reality of a "World Tour": stage, bus, plane. Mostly bus and plane. Has a slightly poignant feel of family travel, but you can hardly see anyone in it. Had mounting feelings of outrage that this was actually marketed, and I was a sucker. If I were Mickey Jones I might wax nostalgic (which he does) about this with my memories to fill it out, but it's not for the public. See "Don't Look Back".

Summary: This is PATHETIC!!!!
Review: There is NO!!!....Dylan on this thing. We have the meandering musings of this guy who was on the periphery of Bob's 1966 tour...Ok sure he was the drummer....but he actually talks about being a member of ...The Band!!!! Pullleeeeese! I felt so dirty/violated after watching this I had to put on "Don't look Back" and pull up the scene where Donovan performs and then gets slam dunked by Bob doing It's All Over Now Baby Blue. Run Away!!!

Summary: Horrible Documentary!! I wouldn't give it half a star!
Review: This is like a 91 minute installment of Vh1`s "Where are they now?" That no one wanted to make or see. Basically this guy is riding on the coat tales of Bob Dylan's name. He rambles on about himself, name drops, and ties into his time with Bob Dylan.I`m aware he is a good drummer, but no one bought this DVD to hear his story. Also, There is no actual audio tracks of Dylan but instead the music is of a Bob Dylan Tribute band. The acutal footage of Dylan is shots of the back of his head side profiles or him walking.I would save your money or buy "Dont Look Back" which actually is about Bob Dylan and his music, and not some bloated, has been drummer, who clearly has no close relationship to Dylan.

Review: This is a terrible dvd which should not really include Dylan's name or picture on the cover. It is a personal commentary by the drummer with movies taken of the countryside and cities of the tour. There is hardly any of Dylan in this dvd. I wouldn't buy this one!

Summary: For Dylan fanatics only
Review: I went into viewing this film with pretty low expectations, but still was hugely disappointed. There is no live music here, just previously recorded album cuts playing in the background as Jones comments, ad nauseum, on Dylan's hat and more. This is really just a vanity piece for Mickey Jones. Jones was a great 60's drummer, but these home movies should have stayed at home. There are a few worthwhile shots of Dylan and the Band at work and play, but precious few. At many points I felt challanged to continue watching. Jones doesn't have a lot to say, but he keeps talking anyway. There certainly is not any new insight into the dynamics that drove this revolutionary tour. Jones seems in awe of Dylan himself, but that keeps us at arm's length. For those of you new to Dylan, the infinitely superior "Don't Look Back" is the place to start, not here.

Summary: For MIcky Jones fanatics or Dylan completists ONLY
Review: Even for Dylan completists, this is a streach. This DVD was really just Micky Jones' rather innane musings about the '66 tour. It is amazing how infrequently we see Dylan here. It is also amazing how uninteresting these home movies really are. My assumption is that we don't see Dylan much because his people would have sued Jones. Skip this one folks. It just isn't worth it!
