Summary: Pagey got it right!
Review: This is a must-have for any Led Zeppelin fan, or classic rock fan for that matter. The Song Remains the Same was a rather poor effort from the best rock band ever, so it is nice to see that they finally captured the essence of Zep. on video. In addition to this, it's in Dolby 5.1, so turn it up! As I have read in many reviews, the DVD's will leave you wanting more. This couldn't be more accurate. I will wear these DVD's out through over-use. By it.........now!

Summary: We are not worthy......
Review: I saw Led Zeppelin at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco in 1973. The mighty Zeppelin was at their peak and the world was at their feet. This Dvd captures the gritty intensity of Zeppelin at their best. It truly showcases the talents of four supremely gifted musicians. The sound quality is excellent. The camera work makes you feel like you were there. This performance took me back. Way back. It made me remember that Zeppelin truly was the greatest band ever. If I could own only one dvd, this is it. A must have for all Zeppelin fans.

Summary: More than living up to their reputation
Review: For a band for which there is such infamously little video footage, I am amazed at all the camera shots in this work of art. Not for one second does this DVD dissapoint. From the golden riff of "Whole Lotta Love" to the great epic "Achilles Last Stand" this band more than lives up to its reputation as an incredible live performance. Maybe I'm just biased because I've been forever starving for a Led Zeppelin video, but I think that its safe to say this is the most incredible DVD in the history of the universe.

Summary: Led Zeppelin at their finest
Review: Never before has such a good DVD been released. I got this a little unsure about the package but lemme tell you something, it's worth the money and more. It even turned me on to my new fave Zeppelin song (Misty Mountain Hop, the 1972 version is awesome!) The Moby Dick drum solo (speaking as a drummer) is mind blowing. The whole DVD is mindblowing! A++++ (if that's even possible).

Summary: Very strong
Review: This DVD is truly fascinating from beginning to end and will leave you wishing it would just keep going indefinitely. It's so odd to see Jimmy Page answering questions in the interview at the end, having never heard him speak before! He's so shy and quiet that the 'rampaging Vikings' image gets a bit of a knock. Is it fun watching the band 'live' for four and a half hours? Yes, it is. At the Albert Hall the performances are very strong, and there's a sense of the band still in a state of shock at the energy source that they have mysteriously tapped into. I think they look pretty silly after that, with Plant's absurd macho posturing, but the music is wonderful. It's interesting to see the change at Nebworth, two years after the full fury of Punk kicked in. Plant has toned his image down, making it more enjoyable to watch him, and Page plays it straight with no flares+dragons etc. In fact, the four of them each look as though they should be in different bands. But it was so great to see these performances, and sad that this was effectively the end. They are absolutely red-hot, with an amazing synchronisation between the drums and guitar on 'Achilles' Last Stand'. I can remember reading reviews of the Nebworth shows at the time, when Led Zeppelin were in the uncomfortable position of being one of Punk-rock's main targets. But with the benefit of hindsight, and thanks in part to this moving DVD, their musical brilliance can be properly appreciated.

Summary: THE BEST LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOW
Review: As being a classic rock fan in the new year 2004 their are many new CDs and DVDs of classic rock bands for example Jimi Hendrix his family coperation Experience Hendrix has brought his music back to live. Led Zeppelin back in the day signed with Atlantic Records to release Led Zeppelin 1, 2, 3, 4, and etc. Led Zeppelin grew populaur from their live shows not their hits as a matter of a fact Led Zeppelin never had a hit never wanted a hit. Zep wanted to take their music into a differnt direction and they did. I have listened to all the Zep albums out their and when you start to listen from their first album to their last you can see alot of improvement in their music. Zeppelin were one of those bands that had all the best musicians including their legendary singer Robert Plant, their bassman John Paul Jones, their powerful drummer John Henry Bonham, and their guitarist Jimmy Page. When I saw their was a new relase from Atlantic I was very excited. I bought the Led Zeppelin DVD the first day it came out at Fye and the price was around 29$ very expensive (look at the price they have for it at amazon wow go buy it ). It was 5 hours of music that really shook you all night long. The first disc is live at the royal albert hall 1970 Led Zeppelin had just started their career not too long ago. They played an OUTSTANDING performence with I Cant Quit You Baby, Dazed And Confused, What It Is And What Should Never Be, Moby Dick, Communcation Breakdown, Whole Lotta Love, etc. Also the extras include Communication Breakdown Promo, Danmarks Radio, Supershow, and Tous En Scene.

Going from the second DVD you can see the band has made it the crowd loves them. It starts off with Immigrant Song then goes to Madison Square Garden. I think the Madison Square Garden is 100% better than the orginal The Song Remains The Same with killer performences like Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Since I've Been Loving You, and The Ocean. Then an interesting Earls Court with alot of acoustic stuff then goes into the rock stuff like In My Time Of Dying ( wow cool performence ), and Trampled Underfoot, and the legendary song StairWay To Heaven. Then their is the most famous concert that Zep ever performed at KNEBWORTH 79 this was one of their last tours before Bonham died. I have seen differnt concert footage from KNEBWORTH that was junk the picture quality was all messed up but when I saw the KNEBWORTH on this DVD I was amazed the picture quality is the best wow. And the tracks from KNEBWORTH are Rock And Roll, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Sick Again, Achillies Last Stand, In The Evening, Kashmir, and Whole Lotta Love. The bonus features on the second disc are NYC Press Conference, Down Under, The Old Grey Whistle Test, and Promos. I have read alot of articles in guitar magazines about this DVD and how page found all the footage and you have to reliaze Jimmy Page did not just throw a collection together he took alot of time to give the fans the best Led Zeppelin performence ever and I thank him for that. This is worth 1,000 Stars it represents the starting point and the turning point of Led Zeppelin. I have never been to one of their concerts but I wish I would have. Without little more to say this is the best Led Zeppelin anyone will ever get > a must have buy this on amazon for a great price and Enjoy!!!

Summary: Stellar
Review: I grew up with Led Zep, had a few albums, and always liked them, but never looooved them. This dvd, I LOOOOOOOVE. My favorites are the acoustical set with "That's The Way", one of the most beautiful songs ever. I tried not to expect too much after the much hyped reviews I read, but the hype is real. If you are any kind of rock fan, this is required viewing. Sublime.

Summary: The best band never fails
Review: Frankly, just Knebworth's Achilles Last Stand is worthy the price of admission to this collection. So much has been written here already that I will only try to add a few unworthy bits. First, the Knebworth gig is for me the most moving experience of all contained on the two dvds. You must remeber that this no. 1 rock band (who else showed this much versatility in a consistently outstanding output reaching such peaks as they have in Kashmir, Stairway, Since, Whole lotta, No quarter ?) in 1979 when the Knebworth gig was played was standing against the background of punk revolution that labelled artists like LZ "Dinozaurs". This, and to a minor extent also the very distance and inconvenience the audience had to overcome to get from London to Knebworth, a long walk across the fields included, made the band so much involved on that evening I believe. I tell you this gig does not feel like an easy win of years before for this great band and they give their best, sort of the last stand it is, and boy - do they win !
On a technical side I would like to share this notion: when one is actually present at a concert one sees the whole stage and the whole band most of the time. While close-ups in a dvd production are a welcome addition that enhances the experience, abdicating from showing all four memebers of the greatest band on stage at the same time (at least once a minute) is a loss to this viewer. Great music, great edition, treasure it.
