Summary: This DVD will not go down like a Led Zepplin
Review: A guidon for the greatest rock era and one of the most powerful leaders of the British Invasion in rock music, Led Zepplin taught the world about the meaning of Rock and Roll. If you are new to Zepplin this is a great place to start. If you've been with them for many years you already have this release and will not need to read this review. I have only touched the surface of this classic and I am utterly amazed. From the opening track "We're Gonna Grove" they grab you and pull you into a loud, bombastic rock groove that will not surrender. The power of Zepplin is exhilarating while the showmanship is second to none. Page's guitar work in "Dazed and Confused" will prove the range and ability of this master. Plants vocals soar with a blues rock sound that has never been duplicated in all of rock and roll. John Paul will amaze you with his chops on the bass. He matches Bonzo for a backbeat that threatens to collapse the stage. Thanks to technology and a lot of hard work the band has graciously provided us a priceless collection of some of the greatest Zep footage ever shot. Go out and get it - NOW!!

Summary: The Hammer of the Gods!!!
Review: I just bought this DVD and listened to it last night. I was blown away. I only saw Led Zeppelin once, in July 1979 at Oakland Stadium. Page was not in good form and the rest of the band had trouble compensating for his poor playing. This DVD shows how great Zep was when all band members were on. Bonham's drum pounding (you can't just call it "playing") rattles your bones, Jones' bass and keyboard playing is the glue that keeps the band on track, Page's guitar is wailing (his solo on In My Time of Dying is a classic) and Plant's voice is in classic form. This DVD is a godsend for fans who've been waiting for something like this for a long time.

Summary: Has anyone noticed static in center channel?
Review: I thought this was a great DVD. The only problem was that the Dolby Digital track had significant static in the center channel. I brought it back to the store for an exchange but had the same problem. This only happens in Dolby Digital 5.1 mode - DTS and 2.0 are fine. I don't have this problem with my other DVD's so I know it's not my equipment. The store manager indicated that he had not had any other returns for this item. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Otherwise the DVD was excellent.

Summary: The first 2 hours alone are worth the $$$!
Review: I have collected over 50 Zep bootlegs over the years, and I used to be (and still am) a total fanatic. I have heard and seen a lot of stuff, and believe me the Earl's Court 1970 performance that starts Disc 1 is totally UNBELIEVEABLE!!! 2 tracks from CODA were taken from this show and edited down--"I can't quit you baby" and "We're gonna groove" (fyi). "White summer", Page's solo, will leave you in awe, as will Bonham's "Moby Dick"--these guys solo so fast, they MUST have made a deal with the devil! "How Many More Times" is unlike any version I've ever heard. So there's some true rarities here. I haven't even seen the rest yet--but I would have paid $40 for this show alone. If you can't decided between the new 3-disc CD or the DVD, definitely pick the DVD

Summary: The Best Twenty Bucks I Have Ever Spent!
Review: Unbelievable, Incredible, Phenomenal...
If you are considering buying this DVD, stop thinking and buy it NOW! And get the CD too! My God, it's breathtaking.

I had talked my parents into letting me go to a Led Zep concert in 79, and then Bonzo died. I listened to their albums and watched Song Remains the Same at midnite shows through the long wasteland that was music in the 80s. I bought the 10 Cd set in the 90s but didn't play them much. Too familiar, and lots of newer bands to listen to. But now, now my kids are going to get what I never got, LIVE LED ZEPPELIN. And I'm finally getting it too...Thank you, Mr Page.

Summary: This DVD is AWESOME!
