Designed for maximum versatility, Samsung's 15-inch LTM-1555 has a high-contrast TFT-LCD screen, an internal NTSC TV tuner, and input jacks to let you view virtually any source in its native resolution, whether HDTV, DVD, videocassette, digital video, or satellite. Because it's fully digital, the LTM-1555 can even be used as a high-resolution PC monitor. Picture-in-picture lets you watch a video while continuing to work on the PC. A digital comb filter offers an improvement over standard comb filters to virtually eliminate edge crawl and rainbow effects while enhancing picture resolution. Stereo speakers are driven with 3 watts each and deliver Virtual Dolby simulated surround sound. Color temperature control lets you select normal, warm, and cool settings through the monitor's onscreen display, while CaptionVision (CC) displays dialog that can be read along with encoded broadcast TV. Rear-panel connections include one S-video input, one progressive-scan audio-video input (for DVD or DTV), one RF video input (for use with older VCRs or cable boxes), and one PC audio/composite-video input. A .128-inch headphone jack affords private listening from any source. The V-chip system blocks rated TV and movie programs determined to contain objectionable content, and the monitor features VESA (75mm) standard mounting holes and can be mounted on a stand or on the wall.
