Description:
Luxuriate in vivid, high-contrast, widescreen DVD and DTV presentations with Samsung's 22-inch, high-definition-ready LTN226W. The stylish set is ideal for computing, TV watching, or movie watching, and luckily it's got enough inputs to handle all three. The flat-panel LCD TV offers a native image resolution of 1,280 x 720, enhanced by a high (500:1) contrast ratio, impressive peak brightness of 450 candles/square meter, and wide 170-degree viewing angles so everyone in the room can see it. When used with an optional DTV receiver, it accepts full-resolution HDTV signals, including 720p and 1080i (1080i signals are scaled to fit the set's native resolution). Set it on a table, counter, or desktop using the supplied swivel base, or mount it on the wall, picture-style. The television sports stereo speakers with 7 watts audio power per channel, and a dedicated monaural RCA subwoofer output facilitates hookup with a powered subwoofer (optional). The set's 3D Y/C digital comb filter enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt). For connections, the set offers two component-video inputs--one for standard-definition interlaced signals and one capable of full HD (480p/720p/1080i) signals--and one each composite-video, S-video, and standard RF (for older VCRs and cable boxes). A 15-pin D-Sup PC input lets you hook up your computer, and a headphone jack allows private listening. A handy Kensington lock provides a degree of security. What's in the Box TV, built-in swivel base, remote controls, remote battery, stand cap, AC power cord, AC power adapter, a user's manual, and warranty information.
