Summary: Mariah Carey Glitters!
Review: Mariah Carey stars in this ultimate movie about finding stardom and finding yourself, and I think that this movie is absolutely worth watching at least once or twice. Mariah Carey knows how to act in movies such as this one, and is also a wonderful film that has been done, perfectly! This movie glitters, just as the title of this movie, is called, and to me, this movie is a glittering classic for Mariah Carey to star in!

Review: I just received the DVD for christmas and enjoyed the movie despite the nasty reviews the media gave it. First of all she has a voice of beauty and second her acting for her first movie is first rate. She should be in another movie that she head lines and give it another shot. As for the name of the movie and the cover of the Movie/DVD I would have choosen somthing other then what they went with. The soundtrack is excellent and Amazon.com has it for a great price.

Summary: An Objective Opinion
Review: OK, I just want to give my objective opinion. Yes, I am a Mariah Carey music fan, however I watched this movie with a critical attitude. This movie is actually quite decent, and I think it is actually a good credit to Mariah Carey. She definately did not deserve the bad rap that she received for this film. True, there were a few rediculous parts, to me the main one was when Dice made her freestyle in the club, if you watch Mariah, it is very unbelievable that she is really singing, and her body language is hilarious. I will definately agree that Mariah is terrible at lip-synching, but that's quite ok since she can blow you away in reality. Aside from the lip-synching, I believe that Mariah does a very good job. Also, the soundtrack was perfect, Mariah did a truly outstanding job capturing the time period portrayed in the film. Like Mariah has said, this was a CONCEPT album and a soundtrack, and if you review it in that aspect, it shines forth as amazing work. I believe this film is worth renting at least, and is a good effort from Mariah. Also, I have to say, I actually believe this was done far better than "The Bodyguard", which was far more stale than this movie. Why didn't Whitney receive all the crap that Mariah got? Other notably worse movies would be "From Justin to Kelly"(now there's a laugh), and of course "Crossroads" (with Britney Spears).

Summary: A big mistake!!
Review: I can't believe they had the nerve to release this on DVD & VHS after it failed so badly. I like Mariah Carey's music (except for the soundtrack to this movie) but let's face it, she can't act! My niece liked the movie and I bought it for her for only $ 5.88 (I can see why it was that low, it sucks). It was a huge mistake to even film this movie.

Review: It's unbelieveable how many jealous people there are out there. Why don't you just admit you like Mariah and move on? She's obviously talented in singing AND acting, and she proved it on her first movie Glitter. I was very impressed at how good she was at playing her role. I welcome any new movies she throws our way! Mariah Carey is the best singer ever! Her vocal range is amazing!!

Review: This is the world's worst movie. Bound to show up in the 10 for 99 cents pile at the dollar store. How can anyone think this is good? They probably have Ishtar on dvd. Mariah Carey can't act. This movie had no depth no plot. nothing. And the ending hun? I saw this for free and I still want my money back. Plese tell me what was the point? I'd rather watch Barney while listening to Billy ray cyrus than ever have to see this again

Review: You know that show on VH1- Behind the Music? Well, this is a big...theatrical version of that...only with millions of dollars put into it for some reason. Mariah may be a good singer and all, but she shouldn't do movies about "struggling to make it in the business". Think of something original, and maybe I'll give it a higher rating.

Review: GEEZ, this is quite possibly the WORST movie ever made. PERIOD! Bad acting, bad script, & cheesy music is all that make up this turkey. When I first heard the title, it sounded more like a horror movie than a biography on Mariah Carey (or whatever the heck this garbage was about!) I got so bored I wanted to leave the theater. Just pathetic! The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was better!
