Rating: Summary: New material: more mature/less bubblegum; singing: great! Review: I was really impressed not only by their incredible singing abilities but also by the maturity of the new material. They really proved that they're all great singers and all have their own singing styles which, when combined together, make for a very unique and complete harmony that is uncomparable to other attempts made by other pop groups. AJ was totally R&B, Brian had a slight folk quality to this songs and this singing style when he did his solo, Howie showed off his smooth falsetto voice, Nick proved he can stand very well on his own-great overall performance with the integration of alittle acting and drama to his performance style, and Kevin brought a different style of music with his instrumental version of a song he himself created-the sax and cello created a bluesy/jazz-like atmosphere and the melody/song itself was something you could really close your eyes and drift away with. "Who Do You Love" had a great section where the guys sang something to the effect of, "I gotta know..." in the middle of their chorus. It had a light beat in the midst of a ballad. All the new songs really emphasized their incredible harmony. "Like A Child" brought out a more drama in their harmony and their singing-definitely more better than "I'll Never Break Your Heart". It will leave you drained because of the crescendos and mid-song pauses. "If I Don't Have You" has a 1950s type of background harmony and it is an automatic #1 hit potential, along with the others. It is the kind of song you will automatically scream more for because of the way it is sung. The video is a great video for anyone wanting to see the multi-talents of these 5 guys-they could harmonize, they could sing individually, they can write their own songs, and they can play instruments, as other videos previously released also showed. Give them a chance, and 5-10 years down the line, I could see a band not unlike the Beatles.
Rating: Summary: A "Gotta have it" video... and it's LIVE! Review: Not only the latest video, but one of the coolest. An exclusive look at the BSB VIVA forever show taped in Germany is now available for all the world to see. Melt seing each boy perform solo old, new and single songs. Also includes a sneak video clip and interviews w/Kev & Howie. Those guys can sing!!!!
Rating: Summary: I WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!!! Review: This movie is so sweet. You get to hear each guy sing a solo except for Kevin. Kevin played a beautiful piece on the piano. I bought it within the first week it came out and I love it. Even my friend who isn't a Backstreet Boy fan likes some of the songs they sing on this movie. So, it is a great movie for fans and non-fans alike!
Rating: Summary: A Night Out....All I Really Need To Say is...GET IT!! Review: This is a really cool video!! It has many of their old songs, plus their new songs!! Most of the songs in the video are their ballads, but not all!! The new songs are their solos for the next album i believe. Also, some of their old songs have been revamped!! It is totally amazing!! It is a must have!!
Rating: Summary: After reading the great comments, I went out and bought it. Review: Yesterday, I was browsing in Amazon.com and I saw the great comments on this video. Later in the day I rushed to the mall and bought the video. It was great. There were alot of songs in the video that I have never heard before. Once again it proves how talented the Backstreet Boys are.
Rating: Summary: The best backstreet home video ever!! Review: This video shows the boys in a smooth candelit setting out in Germany with German fans as audience (too lucky, aren't they?) which was made on March,30 1998. It includes some brand new songs like "Who do you love?" and Kevin's Solo. Every backstreet fan HAS to have this video in her house; plus it has the vids for "All i have to give" and the U.S. version for "I'll never break your heart". Too gorgeous to see it just once!!
Rating: Summary: Two Revelations! Review: First, I am not a 13 year old girl. I'm a grown up but I guess the BSB are too. My daughter got this video and I watched it with her. Now, I've always been a fan and have been to one of their concerts. This, however, showed a different side to their talent. We all knew that Brian could sing like an angel and with great emotion and could write, that Nick and Howie were singers with great technique and a wide range of emotions. A.J. has always been a fablous singer but, the way he sang his solo!!!!!! who knew he could sing like that!!!! It was a revelation!!! You did a great job A.J. I can't wait to hear more. Then there's Kevin. I was happy to hear that he would be doing a solo as at the concert I attended, they cut that part out of the show. And I was so looking forward to actually hearing Kevin's voice for more than a line or two in a song. Even though he doesn't sing on his solo it showed a whole other side of Kevin that hasn't had a lot of exposure. His song was a marvel and the intensity and look of bliss on his face while he played was the second revelation on this video. Kevin, you must get some lyrics for this song! I can't wait to hear it when it's all finished, although it was beautiful with out lyrics too. Keep up the good work, guys!!!
Rating: Summary: A Video any BSB fan should have Review: After seeing this video I gained a whole new respect for the boys and there songs. The less popular boys realy prove there just as good and you`ll love them all. also it holds the fans on by highlighting completey diffrent music of album number 3.
Rating: Summary: this is the best video for true fans Review: this is the best video of them. you get to here them all sing solos, and their other songs. its set in a quiet atmosphere, you just want to be there with them. this video is not for people who think that the bsb is only HOT!!!! they look good but not that good. if you're a true fan you can get over it and enjoy their soothing voices.
Rating: Summary: Night out like this, anytime Review: Great video. I'm a big fan of the Backstreet boys since 1996. This video shows to all the critics outhere that they can really sing. I,ts nice to hear them without all of that big sound, lights and the dance.. Quiet and very entertaining for the real fans of the Backstreet boys.
