Summary: Waste of Money
Review: As a huge H & O fan, I was so excited to see that this video collection was being released on DVD. As most people would anticipate great audio and visual quality, this reissue was very disappointing. The quality was so grainy that it was almost painful to watch. I gave this DVD 3 stars only because anything with Daryl and John deserves some recognition.

Summary: Disappointing mastering
Review: Due to a technical defect during mastering, this DVD(a verbatim transfer of the old RCA/Columbia Pictures VHS program) clips off the start of the song "Maneater".Hold off on buying this 7-song collection, because BMG will be releasing a more extensive Hall & Oates video collection on DVD in the near future. There's a tentative May release date set.

Summary: IT'S SO
Review: First things first. This is the same video collection that RCA/Columbia Pictures put out in 1985. Same cover photos, same songs, same running order, etc. (but 3 minutes longer, go figure). The good news is that it's finally out on DVD. I was glad to find it and add it to my musical DVD collection instead of some recently recorded concert where they might have been having an off night. This is a known quantity and I had to have it. Why then did I only give it 4 stars? The same reason I'd have given the VHS version 4 stars. They left off the video for "Jingle Bell Rock". Where else can you see G. E. Smith play guitar dressed as your grandmother?

Summary: Wish There Were More Than 7 Videos
Review: I particularly liked the videos for "Say It Isn't So", and "One On One", though I'm not sure about the settings for the other 5 videos, I would call them 'fair'. Nice to see Hall & Oates in their earlier days, and how videos and their music have changed, for the better!

Summary: Don't have it on DVD, yet!
Review: It's a compilation of their greatest hits from the '80's. But you can see the progression of their videos. Songs like "Private Eyes" that were shot against a black screen to the theatrics of "Adult Education" show how the video has changed in a span of only two years!
If you're a die-hard fan like me, this is a great way to start a video collection!

Summary: I Can Go For That!
Review: One of my all-time favorite VHS tapes on DVD. If you have the VHS version and want to upgrade to DVD, you'll be happy with this. If you remember the old Hall and Oates videos and want to again feel the way they made you feel, this DVD will do it for you! An amazing half hour for any Hall and Oates fan.
