Summary: STAND UP STRAIGHT!
Review: "If this band moved in next door to you, your lawn would die." -- Lemmy
To paraphrase Bill Murray, there are two types of people in this world: those who love Motörhead, and those who are pathetic wimps. This DVD is an absolute blast. From classics like "Metropolis" and "Iron Fist" to new rockers like "Stay Out of Jail" and "Sacrifice", there's not a bad song in the nearly two-hour set. (Was there ever a bad Motörhead song, really?) Cools extras like the Wacken Open Air show, "Ain't No Nice Guy" unplugged, music videos, bios, interviews, etc., make this DVD a great value for Motörheadbangers everywhere. It's my favourite music DVD and I'd gladly lend it to you... but then I hardly know you, so you'll just have to get your own. Buy two and give one to your neighbour. It's the least you can do after killing his lawn.

Summary: GREAT!!!
Review: I bought the PAL version laster year and spent lots of time converting it to NTSC, and then then NTSC came out and I bought it so I could watch the extra features on my NTSC player. This is THE best concert video I own. I own Kiss, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Anthrax, SOD, Maiden, WOW, etc etc live videos and all of them end up boring me, but not this one. The sound and video footage is wonderful. The filiming is dynamic enough to make it exciting, but doesn't change cameras so much as to give me a headache (like Rock in Rio by Maiden). There are plenty of extras and some hidden easter eggs too. The only negative is that the guests (Doro, Whitfield, Eddie, Brian May, and others) are WAY to low in the mix. I can't hear them at all...

Summary: outstanding !!
Review: I cannot describe the feeling that you receive from seeing a motorhead live concert, the nearest experience you can get without buying a ticket & get into a mass filled fan auditorium is buying this dvd or some of the live LP's, in fact the dvd gives you all, the sound is incredible 5.1 standard, the live set is awesome, it is also fulfilled with extras, hidden features. I have seen it maybe 30 times & keep going, also there are two promotional videos (sacrifice & god save the queen), videos from Lemmy & Phil playing "I ain't no nice guy", 4 live songs from the wacken open air festival in germany in 2001.
In short you get everything you want from a live dvd, the cameras & the sound is over the top! You get assaulted, insulted, & you end deaf from hearing Motorhead as a bonus! Long life to Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell & Mr. Dee!

Summary: Great show but confusing menu layout
Review: I loved what I could see but for the life of me I can't figure out to access the 'hidden' items like the Wacken festival and the unplugged "I Ain't No Nice Guy." Can someone PLEEEASE tell me how to do this? It's frustrating the hell out of me!

I'd be eternally grateful if you'd enlighten me at

Summary: I think Lemmy might be a robot
Review: I think Lemmy is actually frozen somewhere and they put an android in his place because I can't believe that a guy after everything he's been through and in his 50's can still rock so damn hard. There's good balance to the content on the DVD, even an acoustic number. The video for sacrifice is great and it's a shame that the American music television market see's no place for hard rock or metal anymore. I think the sound could have been better though as Phil's guitar was regularly overwhelmed by lemmy's rhino charging bass tone. The drums are very upfront and dry, took a little getting used to but sounds alright now. Mickey Dee is amazing on this DVD. I agree with another reviewer and think the guests were a waste of time except for Fast Eddie of course. The guests are mixed so low that you literally most of the time cannot hear them at all so it really makes you wonder why bother? Mind you getting to see Doro Pesch still looking incredible even now is not a misfortune. Overall good energy and the setlist is a good selection of old and new. I think the sound could have been a lot better though. I wish more than anything they could release on DVD their 10th anniversary concert (The Birthday Party) that came out in the mid 80's and is now unavailable. That is a well filmed and good sounding concert. If Motorhead didn't exist we would have had to invent them. As Lemmy says on the DVD "there's no-one that can play the music we play so it's up to us isn't it"

Summary: Great show but confusing menu layout
Review: Mixed reviews. Always hard to come to a conclusion when half the reviews are 5 stars and the other half are one. So let's break it down: Sound, very good. I had to toy with my 5.1 settings a bit but finally got it and was happy. Sight: great, sharp video. Extras, good, some cool old footage. So what's the problem? First, I really wish this was a normal show with just Moterhead doing its thing. Instead we get about a third of the songs with guests joining the band and it's totally lame. Secondly, as seems to be the current fad the video jumps all over at that "MTV generation/beyond short attention span" rate. The cameras are not still for a second. I'm in my 30s and I know that the younger people have grown-up with this sort of thing but I still cannot get used to it. So there you have it. If you don't mind strobe-like, video game-like camera movements and hacks like Doro destroying Motorhead classics you will love this DVD.
