Rating: Summary: Loved It Review: After listening to Jars' for a couple years, I got this DVD so I could actually "see", them. I cannot explain this very well, but I see the band much differently after watching this. I saw who they really were. This DVD has a few special features outside the actual concert. It's great to watch if you are a Jars' fan. If you aren't really into them, you might not enjoy it very much. The quality is alright, nothing compared to a feature film though.

Rating: Summary: What A Disappointment Review: I ahve purchased and rented many concert videos and DVDs over the years, and found the production values to be amateurish, at best. The photography on the concert itself was dark and drab, nowhere near the quality of Jars of Clay's music videos. This was a modern recording, so why is it only in 224kbps 2.0 stereo? What about a PCM or Dolby Digital 5.1 mix? The 2.0 stereo sounded almost as if it was really 2.0 mono. "ten:thirty" was boring. A collection of home movies shot during recording with the band doing mostly nothing, edited with short commments by the band members. Also, couldn't they have included some music videos from "The Eleventh Hour" as bonus material. If "Jars Of Clay" is reading this review, they might want to consider hiring an experienced crew to film, edit, and mix the concert, and an experienced DVD author for better navigation.
Rating: Summary: Get a deeper insight Review: I love Jars of Clay, I have all their albums and wished they would have a concert around here soon. I would love to see them live in action. But for now, this DVD is the closest I'll get to actually seeing them perform. I admit the video scenes aren't all that great, it definitely could be better, a lot of washed out scenes due to the lighting. But the music is great, Dan has amazing amazing vocals! So overall I'll still strongly recommend this to all Jars of Clay fans. I am simply amazed by their talents. It's amazing that when you see them, they are normal ppl, clad in T-shirts and jeans like everyone else, yet their music talents are stunning. It seems they could create music out of anything you put in their hands. You can see that they are really creative and passionate about the music. I love the acoustic parts and the behind the scenes bonuses. They really are just normal ppl who work really hard too! I am thankful that God has blessed them with such awesome talents that they can share with the rest of the world.
Rating: Summary: Love it!! Review: I personally found nothing wrong with 11 live, except that it needed more features! 10:30 and artflick were very cool to watch more than once, and the concert itself just rocked!! I have to stop raving on, so I'll just tell you to buy this DVD!!
Rating: Summary: Great Review: I thought that this DVD was great. I didn't notice anything wrong with the quality, but I don't know much about the technicalities of creating a DVD like this, so I think I'll leave that to the people who do. As far as the music, it's great, they picked some awesome songs and they sound great live. The extras such as 10:30 and artflick were cool too and I especially liked the acoustic performances. I think it would have been cool if they had included videos from some of the songs off of "The Eleventh Hour" too, but just the same, they had some nice extras. Overall though, I definitely recommend this DVD, I loved it. If you can't catch Jars in concert, then this is a good buy for you to experience them live.

Rating: Summary: Very very good Review: I thought this DVD was excellent. Ok, the bad points first. The video quality wasn't too great. It looked great on any other TV, except my dad's huge projection screen so i don't think most people will complain about it. Also, the actual sound itself (as far as surround goes) was also not that good. I don't think it was full 5.1 surround. (there was definately no sound options on the DVD like most) But i don't think everyone is going to have a problem with that either, as my dad's huge system is just ridiculous compared to what normal people have. Now onto the good points (there are plenty.) The songs are (as always) excellent. Ok, I'm a big Jars fan- but i don't think anyone will be unimpressed. The arrangements are awesome, the band brilliant and the vox superb. A truly enjoyable musical experience in my opinion. The four acoustic tracks are excellent-i love the new arrangements! The 'artflick' is great, a bit short but awesome. ten:thirty wasn't too bad either, and the bonus 'frail' track was awesome. I'm really really happy with this purchase: i think its excellent. And if there are any muso's reading this, then i suggest even more for you guys. Jars are truly talented boys, and are seriously inspiring. Love the lyrics too. Ok, thats it. Go check this out. Its great!
Rating: Summary: Awesome concert Review: Jars of Clay are one of my favourite bands and I was blessed enough to see them live last year. They really inspired me to pick up my guitar again after a 5 or so year hiatus and now I'm gonna be worship leading at my local church! Inspiring is a good word to describe this dvd as well, it's really great. They cover most of my favourite songs (except "Frail", but you can't have everything) including highlights for me of "I need You", "Worlds Apart", and of course "Flood". The picture and sound quality of this dvd are perfectly fine, (why people want concert's in 5.1 I don't know, they generally are in stereo as are cd's). Jars are a quality outfit who sing and play with great passion and skill. I could watch these guys play for hours. Thanks for reading and enjoy this dvd, and thanks amazon for sending it so quickly to me!
Rating: Summary: The live "11th Hour" DVD delivers what you want! Review: Often, live concert videos, even DVD's, can dissapoint the listener. The recording can't match the studio tracks and you don't really get the full impact of being there. The 11th hour DVD does come close though. The guys are so talented and such a tight band that their "performance sound" is indeed awesome. The video is not overdone with all the fluff of some live concerts- after the first few songs, you will feel as if they recorded this just for you. They are personable and real! My favorite portion is the "unplugged" session- acoustic rules! I listen to this concert while exercising on my treadmill- hey, who needs Tai-Bo! Jars ought to come out with their own exercise series- "Jars of Clay but Buns of Steel"!
