Summary: amazing...
Review: i wasn't expecting much from this dvd....but what i got back from it was beyond my expectations.

The backstage footage was great. It makes you realize that they aren't heartless demons. They are actually drunken heartless demons. ha ha.

Summary: The Best Burial Mass!
Review: If you're a 'Filth fanatic or just a fresh fan of this diabolical British orchestra(like me), it's a great appetizer to show you what Cradle's all about: mayhem, horror and kickass music!
As you creep across the foggy cemetary, you can witness 11 burial masses and get stuck in a black grave that will bring you to a new dimension: where you can find more works of murder. Sift through the filth and you can see that being the world's most wicked black metal band isn't just always about Satan and the darkest thoughts of these twisted young men. You can also see 2 of the band's music videos( S.C.Erotica and Born in a Burial Gown) as well as a trailer from an already cult-film; Cradle of Fear(which stars Dani). Next, the guys take on the Blair Witch Project(congrats for the 'trophy'!-if you saw it, you know what I mean:), which isn't a simple but a rather hilarious task! If that wasn't enough, then watch the Gallery of the Grotesque to see the good ol' boys the way we really know and love them.(plus there is a weblink which takes you to a hidden part of the Official C.O.F. website!) What more can I say to convince you? Order it!!!

A rabid-but fairly new-Hungarian fan, born in a burial gown under the sign of the black mark on an icy(ha-ha:) day of June when even immortal vampyres trembled in their coffins to greet the blackest twisted mutant children of heaven that are nowadays known as the fiercely powerful ruler entity of this god-damned world: Cradle of Filth-big enough to tear God off his sinful throne...

Summary: dissapointing
Review: Of the 3 or so hours on this dvd, the 70 minute-ish live part is the only thing you will ever be tempted to explore a second time, the documentary is pointless with no new information.

and the live part...to say the least...is testing. the vocals are horrible, he may as well be singing entirely different songs the entire time...there albums have obviously been pro-tooled a lot.

Summary: Hate to bring it down but....
Review: The concert is fantastic as are the videos and Cradle of Fear trailer. The rest however seems to be uninspired filler. I would have liked this better if it included the Pandaemonaeon music videos and Her Ghost in the Fog. Where was the BBC documentary?

Summary: Heavy Left Handed and Candid..BEST Cradle DVD!
Review: The DVD opens up with (and mostly contains in the title screens) bits and pieces from the song "Dinner at Deviant's Palace."
The first thing I watched on this DVD upon purchasing it (today) was the shockumentary, a 58 minute documentary/interview on Cradle of Filth, and their 2001 tour in Austrailia and Japan. That plus it contains a bit of in studio footage of them working on songs from the Midian album. Those things plus many many laughs along the way of various band members eating disgusting objects and being paid for it...it's all in good humor, and is guarinteed to make you laugh at not only Dani, but the entire band as well. The shockumentary itself, gets a 10/10 in my score book!
Moving on, we have the 2 ("Nasty" and "Very Nasty") versions of the "Scorched Earth Erotica" music video, a track from Bitter Suites to Succubi. The 2 differ greatly, as the "Nasty" version, is..well, as Dani says, "The MTV friendly version." Thus, it's quite edited, lyrically no, but in terms of scenes used in the music video, yes. The music videos are compiled up of scenes from the movie Cradle of Fear, and all the non-violent ones were chosen for "Nasty" and all the hardcore violence was given to "Very Nasty." Not much else to say about these 2, because the song remains the same. If you like the song, you'll love the music videos, or atleast the VERY NASTY version of the two. Either way, both give a good look at the masterpiece movie that is, Cradle of Fear. Song and video get 10/10.
Next, we have the music video for "Born in a Burial Gown" which, is basically no different from the way it's been seen on tv, except Dani claims theirs "new special affects at the end" but it's no different from what i've seen on TV. I'm only guessing there's 2 versions of this music video, but i'm not sure on that one. Either way, this is a good video, and an excellent song by Cradle of Filth. Song and video are 10/10.
After those 2, we have something called "The Blair Twit Project: Absinthe Fiend Footage" which is basically a remake of the terrible atrocity that was "The Blair Witch Project." It features Dani and crew walking through a forest, most obviously making it known, this is just a parody ment to be shown how bad this movie really was. The camera they're using has a green Absinthe colored light on it, hence the mini-movie's subtitle. They basically are walking through a forest, and stealing road signs..that's all i'm getting out of this, other than that, it really serves no point. "Dinner at Deviant's Palace" is playing through the entire thing, about 3 times. This..gets an 8/10 because I just don't f**king understand what it's getting at!
After that, we're introduced to a basic formal trailer for the movie Cradle of Fear. The trailer is okay, but there's nothing better than the movie itself. Well..this feature is just a trailer for the movie, so there's no need for details. The trailer gets a 9/10, because the trailer with the song "Lord Abortion" in the background, is better.
One of the final things on this portion of the DVD is the "Circus of Horrors" feature, which showcases a bunch of people showcasing their odd grotesque talents, many of which might disturb any normal person. This feature gets a 10/10, because it's just downright freaky!
Well despite the art gallery, which really is nothing worth even talking about, there's the live concert!
The live concert, not much to say, it's 11 tracks of ear candy, gone live and visual. If you've got "Live Bait for the Dead" you needn't get this DVD, and if you do, get it for its special features. The concert on this DVD, is the same as the track listing and the exact same performancing, as on the "Live Bait for the Dead" album. The tracks contain the below..

1. Lord Abortion 10/10
2. Ebony Dressed for Sunset 10/10
3. The Forest Whispers my Name 10/10
4. Cthulhu Dawn 10/10
5. Dusk and Her Embrace 11/10 (really good)
6. The Principle of Evil Made Flesh 10/10
7. Cruelty Brought thee Orchids 10/10
8. Her Ghost in the Fog 11/10 (really good)
9. Summer Dying Fast 11/10 (really good)
10. From the Cradle to Enslave 15/10 (extremely good)
11. Queen of Winter, Throned. 9/10 (missing its intro)

all of which appear on "Live Bait for the Dead." The only difference between the two is the Intro, and the Interlude, both which are still on the DVD but not on the track list, and the second difference is the fact that LBFTD has a bonus disc 2 to it, whereas this DVD is 1 disc.
All in all, this is the BEST actual Cradle of Filth DVD there is, if there's bonus secret material, please (any reviewer) post it if you will.

Summary: Cradle of Unwitting Self-Parody
Review: The hype is more amusing than the music. This is "The Munsters meet The Monkeys," an unwitting self-parody billing itself as "The World's Most Extreme Band." I'll remember that claim next time I'm being led passively from a bar to the forced laughter of my mates, or dropping a sock from my hotel balcony and videotaping it. I should have bought "This Is Spinal Tap" --the music's better.

Summary: The best Cradle of Filth product on the market
Review: This DVD is truly unbelievable. For a very reasonable price, you'll get a stunning liveshow (74 minutes), and lots of extra stuff used to fill the DVD. This means some videoclips, special features and some footage.

This DVD has a very nice menu-structure. It's creepy, with typical CoF-style interfaces.
When u select one of the parts of this DVD, you first get to see a short video with Dany Filth telling you something about what you're going to see.

If you like Cradle of Filth, this DVD MUST be yours!

Summary: Excellent DVD by an excellent band
Review: This DVD shows Cradle of Filth playing a great live performance in England, as well as behind the stage stuff, interviews, music videos, a Cradle of Fear trailer, and other things that any Cradle of Filth fan should appreciate. If you are a fan of Cradle of Filth you will most definitely love this DVD, and should be added to your CoF colletion immediately.
