Summary: Neil Young
Review: Neil is master. The way he interprets songs is amazing, I have watched this countless times. I only wished it would have been little bit longer.

Summary: Beautiful and Touching
Review: Neil Young just keeps getting better with time. The performance on this disc is outstanding. Even if you're a casual fan, there is much here to enjoy. Neil's voice is so sweet and tender, especially on songs like 'Daddy Went Walkin', the sincerity is touching. The only downside is that it clocks in at 62 minutes. I'm sure a few other tunes could have been added, but it might have spoiled the mood. Perfect for after a hectic day.

Summary: A nice surprise from Neil Young
Review: Shakey Pictures is an accurate pseudonym for Neil Young's video productions - most of his concert films leave a lot to be desired. This, however, is a genuine pleasure to watch and conveys the same warmth and emotion as the album by the same name. There are a few old favorites thrown in as well as a few numbers from the latest CSNY outing, but this is largely new material, purely solo and acoustic and extremely well-performed.

Videophiles may be annoyed by the blue and pink shadows (especially distracting on the DVD) that fall over Neil's face during several of the piano and organ numbers, but the music is just fine. One particular standout is a pump organ version of "Long May You Run," reminiscent of UNPLUGGED's "Like a Hurricane."

A definite recommended buy for any Neil Young fan and a must-have for those thrilled by the latest album, SILVER & GOLD.

Summary: Neil bears his soul!
Review: This is a fantastic set of mostly new songs delivered in very stripped down arrangements, just Neil and guitar, or piano, organ, and sometimes harmonica. Having seen Neil in other settings, with Crazy Horse, Booker T. and the MGs, CSN & Y, as well as solo with and without backup, this is that rare treat.

The sound is excellent and the picture quality is very good. You could practically reach out and grab his beer. I was just waiting for him to pick up the banjo, but he never did!

Summary: Silver & Gold
Review: This is kind of a strange review...I have not yet seen the video/DVD. But I was at the show and can not remember very many more moving concert experiences. This was Neil, alone, on stage in one of America's premier concert halls (Bass, on the UT campus in Austin.) He even comments on the quality of the hall during the show.

I was totally blown away by this performacne, even though I prefer Neil in his full blown glory, electric, loud and with one of the great groups of musicians has been associated with.

Buy this... you will not be disappointed!

Summary: THE MAN!
Review: This is one of the most beautiful and emotionally moving acoustic sets I have ever seen. I'am a huge Neil fan and I love his wild side with crazy Horse and his solos (plugged in and unplugged). I know some people may be thrown off by the loudness of Crazy Horse, but it is important to know that Neil has more than one side and for those who are turned off by the heaviness of THE HORSE, this is a much more low key emotionally serene side of Neil. If you aren't a Neil fan get it, if you are, the ? not whether or not to get it, it's why don't you already have it? Gotta love Neil, doing it again BABY!

Summary: Long may you play your guitar
Review: This video is probably his best since the Live Rust video back in 79`.The playing is beautiful and honest.I think Neil is at his best when he plays acoustic music,I also dig his eletric stuff.Long may you run sounds really good on pump organ maybe even better than the original on the Long may you run lp. It is also good hearing the tracks from Silver& gold just done solo.I recomend this video to any Neil Young fan
