Summary: A must own!
Review: Love them, or hate them, the Bee Gees are absolute legends. This concert demonstrates that in no uncertain terms. Almost every hit is included here. While some songs have been trimmed to allow for a melody of sorts, it no way detracts from the magic of them.

A particular tender and enjoyable moment is when the Barry Gibb teams up with the late Andy Gibb via video for "Don't Throw Away Our Love". This will surely give you shivers up your spine.

A DVD which has been re-released twice. The latter features a DTS soundtrack which gives the concert that extra bite! A law should be introduced so that DVD producers must release concert DVD's with DTS sound at all times. It really makes a difference.

Summary: A True Masterpiece Indeed!!
Review: I just got this DVD for a friend for a gift, and I expected merely the "disco" hits because I wasn't very familiar with their hits. I had to pop it in and check it out to see what it was all about... these guys are absolutely superb!!! I can't believe all the songs that I didn't even know they wrote and how perfectly harmonious and well performed the songs are. I have watched this about 5 times in a two day span because it is so great. The sound is awesome, and I don't even have a DTS system.. not to mention the high-class setup for the concert itself visually. Being only 27, I didn't catch the wave the first time around.. but the BeeGees are now my favorite in the "all-time" category of musicians... This DVD is well worth 10 times the money I spent on it. Just too bad I have to give it away as a gift.. and too bad Maurice passed away cuz now I want to see them in concert more than anything!!
PS... The Celine Dion duet gave me goosebumps, very well done!

Summary: The BEST!!
Review: This is one of the BEST Concert Video's I have seen. It was the next best thing to being there. Barry, Robin and Maurice were in top form. Their harmonies were as good as ever and they sounded wonderful. This is a video I have and will continue to watch over and over. Knowing that we will never see that wonderful smile and playful personality of Maurice Gibb on stage again is hard to take. That makes this wonderful video more special.

Summary: The best of the best
Review: In my opinion, this is the best of the best DVD's. The camera work, sound quality and all aspects of the performance could not be better. Unfortunately, due to Maurices untimely death, this group will never perform together again. This DVD clearly shows how great they were and will remain the cornerstone of my collection forever.

Summary: Excellent concert as always.....
Review: What a great concert. They put on a hell of a show. I wish they had some of the songs that they deleted on there "One Night Only" CD. I appreciate there "Still Waters" album even more than before. They sang "Closer than Close" which I didn't know that Maurice sang lead vocals on. I always love hearing him sing. He has a wonderful voice. They also sang "Still Waters" from there latest album. "Alone" is also another song that they also sang. They sound just as good live than they do on any album. Since the sudden passing of Maurice these live concerts mean even more. If you are a big fan don't pass this one up. You won't be dissappointed. It is the last time we will see this great sweet man sing in concert again. Happy listening.

Summary: Just as the director intended.....
Review: In response to the review from Mississippi, I would say yes, anyone that does not think the quality of the recording is on par with others such as Hell Freezes Over, A Black and White Night, and Live at the Beacon should check out their system....this recording is exactly as the director/producer intended. That, however, is where I take exception....

I own the aforementioned music DVDs and probably close to 60 others. I believe that one of the best uses a surround system can be put to is the playback of a concert video/DVD. You can at least watch them more than twice, which is more than I can say for DVD movies. The price of live concerts is a lot higher than going to the movies these days, making them a much better buy. Yes I have an up-to-date system and have spend considerable time, effort, and money making my environment the best that it can be. For example: Most do not go to the length of getting out the tape measure to set the correct delay compensation due to distance nor do they run test and measurement programs such as ETF5 from Accoustisoft against their setups. So I believe that my system is working correctly.

Now to the point: The totally underused center channel will be very disconcerting for the average listener, especially on a DTS disc. The full field front spatial characteristics of the recording do not produce the even concert sound as experienced sitting in the sweet spot at a live concert. Not in the way that Hell does or even the onstage effect that Black and White gives. I really thought that the director/producer would take visual and sound ques into consideration in mix down, but this is not the case. When Celine sings she seems to be coming from the back of the stage, when in fact, she is right out there front and center. There were at least three vocal mics at center stage used to rercord that number, but you would be hard pressed to decide if there was more than one if you closed your eyes during playback.

The video quality is just average, mostly due to the lighting and visual effects present in the hall. The sound is crisp and the bass is full in most cases. Some of the more driving numbers will require that your bass management be setup correctly so as to direct the intensity where it can be handled properly.

All in all not a bad walk down memory lane for some of us older types, now that we can afford the gear to reproduce it.
