Summary: Styx at their best!
Review: Styx with Dennis Deyoung (as it should be). This was a great concert of most of the classic Styx. Video quality and sound is superb. I'm really glad I bought it.

Summary: THE LEGEND RETURNED BETTER THAN EVER
Review: I SAW THE ORIGINAL PARADISE THEATER TOUR WHEN I WAS A KID & WAS BLOWN AWAY THEN; THEN IN '96 HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING THEM AGAIN & WAS BLOWN AWAY A SECOND TIME! NOW I CAN KEEP THE MAGIC FOREVER WITH THIS! THE SOUND IS UNREAL IN 5.1! A MASTERPIECE! IN FACT, THE NEW STYX LINEUP WAS IN TOWN LAST NIGHT, BUT I STAYED HOME & CRANKED THIS INSTEAD!! IT ROCKS!

Summary: Styx -The Grand Illusion
Review: A great concert indeed. Actually, this is incredibly well produced considering it was done in an arena and not on a soundstage. If I have a complaint, it is that there is no "center" channel sound in the Dolby Digital-5.1 mode. There is "center" channel in Dolby Pro Logic, but to be honest "That Sucks". AC-3 is the only way to go. If anyone has "center" channel sound in Dolby Digital, please let me know. I may have have a DVD with a glitch...

Summary: Styxx Still Rocks...
Review: Kind of like Deja Vu... Styxx back at the Paradise in Chicago. Excellent content and great video. The Dolby Digital 5.1 has no center channel sound. I preferred the Dolby Digital stereo on this DVD, the Eagles used DTS and PCM stereo on their DVD - producers choice? In Dolby 2.0 you get prologic sound, but the center channel dominates and it is not a good balance. No matter, an excellent buy, and 108 minutes of Styxx Live...

Summary: Great to have on DVD
Review: What a show! I really enjoyed seeing these guys on tour again. Unfortunately it looks as though it won't happen again. This is a quality disc. Great sound, some good interviews and extras. I would have like to see more tunes but I really think 5-6 hour concerts were only done by the Grateful Dead. Suite Madame Blue was a real highlight for me. All Styx fans of the good days in the late seventies and early eighties needs to get a copy of this.

Summary: rediscover styx i know i did !
Review: i suppose there must be a lot of styx fans from the early to mid eighties who lost track of the band and i did learn from the dvd that that prior to this concert they hadn't done much for over 10 years this is a great dvd and if you ever liked styx you will love this , i am thinking about buying the cd of the concert to play in the car

Summary: saw the concert live and on video
Review: Very good, Styx puts on a great show and the music is all mixed very well. I only run it is stereo so I can't verify the 5.1 sound.

Summary: Very Good DVD
Review: I really enjoyed this DVD. Some scenes were a little dark, but hey, that's what concerts are all about. If you have ever been to a concert, they never have all the lights up, right? I have been a Styx fan for a long time and all of their hits are on the disc. If you like Styx, BUY IT, I think you will like it too.

Summary: One awesome concert DVD
Review: If you are thinking about buying this DVD because you were a Styx fan back in the '80's...DO IT. It really brought back a lot of good memories listening to it, plus the sound and picture quality is great. One thing I particulary enjoyed is the true to original soundtrack recordings that they display in concert.(Not alot of hoopla with the crowd) You will think you broke out the vinyl stash when this hits the system. Hope this helps your decision, it is worth the $.
