Summary: Guys in Pantyhose!
Review: If you like Kylie Minogue and don't mind watching a bunch of half naked guys dance around in high heels and pantyhose, this is the DVD for you. If you are like me however, and this is not really something that you want to see, I would recommend that if you get this DVD do not watch the performances of "The Locomotion", or "In Your Eyes"! Besides those 2 scenes, it is a pretty good DVD, but it gets knocked 2 stars just for the gross-out factor.

Summary: Kylie Is Better Than This DVD
Review: Coming near the end of a two year whirlwind of recording and touring, it is no surprise Kylie does not have much energy left. This DVD shows that. If you own her CDs, there is no need to spend more money on this.

If you want a SHOW, get the DVD 'Live In Sidney(On a Night Like This)'. Kylie has energy in Sydney.

Kylie is a world class performer and singer. This DVD is OK, but does not show her at her best.

Summary: If You Like Dance Kylie...
Review: This DVD is for you. I also had the Sydney DVD so I was able to compare this one to the first. Actually, I'm a big fan of dance music, and after hearing Fever, I scoped this out as soon as possible. If you're into the more dancey version of Kylie, this will quench your thirst, and probably wear you out! There are some small issues, the biggest one being that the coneert itself wasn't as freeflowing and intimate as the Sydney DVD. I for one LOVED the projections and I've been excercising to them, but there should've been more, if they could fit it in there. Oh well. That's about it, and it didn't really detract from the good time I had watching it. I'm was especially impressed with the way they remade the classics (especially Confide In Me and Shocked). In the documentary, we learn some pretty important things, especially about how prepared Kylie and her team were when they blew up in this country (not quite), and her reaction to her work in Impossible Princess (more positive than before), and why she included tracks from that in the set. All in all, it's a nice DVD if you're into her music, but especially, the dancey side. If not, you'd probably do better with the Sydney DVD.

Summary: Kylie Sings and Performs with Style!
Review: At first I thought this would be another concert-- sexy, cute, dynamic-- but I found myself really enjoying it. From the production design to the background performers-- of course I include Kylie-- the concert grows on you and is worth viewing (or just hearing) several times. Kylie performs and sings with style and class!

Summary: Superb Kylie
Review: When I bought this DVD, i only knew 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'. 'In Your Eyes', 'Love At First Sight', 'Fever', 'Come Into My World' and 'Burning Up' and I was very cautious about buying it. However, When I watched it, I (never in my life) have ever been more impressed. The enery is great, the songs are great. It's just perfect.

I fell in love with all of the 'Light Years' tracks! 'Light Years', 'Spinning Around', 'On A Night Like This', 'Please Stay', and 'Kids' were excelent!

I also fell in love with the songs from her DeConstruction years ('Confide In Me', 'Cowboy Style', 'Put Yourself In My Place', 'Limbo', and 'Dreams')

And then there were some old favorites ('Loco-motion', 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Better The Devil You Know', and 'Shocked')

But I was most impressed with GBI (German Bold Italic) what a perfect song for Kylie to perform (even tho she really sang none of it cuz it was only a video) but it was great!

So as you can see this concert is perfect...plus there are tons of hidden surprises in the songs (meaning there are lots of hidden medleys)

Summary: The Ever Changing Kylie
Review: I first Saw Kylie in concert in the early 90's in Melbourne Aust... what did i think of her concert?? BLAH!! it was awful!

So in 2001 when living in Sydney some friends suggested we go and see her in On A Night Like This Tour - Live in sydney,, i had strong doubts.. but since the Sydney entertainment center was basically just across the street from my apartment, i thought "why not"
WOW! it was geat!! the best! - She broke all records that year, for having the biggest tour ever by "any artist", including Maddona, Michael Jackson..etc,,

So when the "Kylie Fever" tour started, I Made sure i got my tickets to go and see her, again she played at the Sydney entertainment center... IT WAS FANSTASTIC.

I noticed a lot of other reviews says she didnt dance enough, or just moved her arm about a lot,,, well that might be due to the fact she is too busy actually singing! and holding a mic - unlike other big names who try and do it all, but end up doing more lip sync!

As for people Complaining about the sound quality?? well my copy of the DVD was perfect! Maybe those guys need to buy a better sound system.

There are lot of current hits and some old favourites, Many have been "updated". such as Locomotion, I should be so lucky, and an interesting mix of In Your eyes. And an interesting version of GBI...the Fever Tour show cases the numerous Kylie "Characters" - she has created over the years. Kylie has come a long way from that 17 yr old with the bad frizzy perm..in the 80's. Now shes a Stylish Lady with the world at her feet.

See the ever changing Kylie in the DVD "Kylie Fever 2002"

Kylie Fever (Live in Manchester)bought back a lot of great Memories of a great night out! get this DVD if you are a Kylie Fan,,, you will love it!

This refers to the Kylie Fever 2002 Collectors Pack, which includs the Fever tour DVD and a CD recording of the live concert. set in a pink and silver box set.

Summary: Kylie's voice shines!
Review: Kylie's vocals in the Fever Tour DVD have reached a new level of brilliance. She sounds incredible, and not only doesn't miss a note of go flat once, but her voice is actually penetrating in a way you don't sense on the Fever album, or really any track except perhaps "Better The Devil." Her performance of "The Crying Game" seems to be coming right out of the pit of her soul--how such a small woman can make such a huge and overwhelming sound is beyond me, but she's got a rage behind those last notes as the rose petals fall over her.

Summary: Kylie takes us in her capsule out of here...
Review: This was a brave tour, costuming and concept wise. She pulled it off without breaking a sweat. The seamless cohesion of the minimalistic dance movements and a well chosen mix of Fever hits and well-meshing old material was amazing. There was simply nothing wrong with this tour, and while it was artistically "light years" ahead of On A Night Like This, I still enjoy watching Live In Sydney more. Watching Live In Sydney brings me closer to Kylie. She is friendly and human, and shakes her hips, cracks jokes, and cutely asks the audience "is everyone okay? can I get anyone anything?" and this is the Kylie I know and love. Fever Kylie, while amazing, seems to be broadcasting this tour from another planet. We are no longer in her living room listening to her sing the hits, instead she is taking us in that capsule she describes in the song "Light Years." When she sings "Maybe things that you don't know are better," that sums up the difference between the two tours--Fever is definitely "better" but I just don't get that warm and fuzzy feeling, and clearly that is the point, but it leaves me missing the nostalgic bonding experience of Sydney. The Fever2002 tour was an incredible audiovisual masterpiece. The originality quotient is something I think would be impossible for most artists to outdo. Fever was striking, futuristic, engaging, and won't let you take your eyes from the screen. Tiny Kylie is more beautiful than ever in the D&G ensembles, and those ribboned braids in her hair are unbelievably cute. A priceless piece of pop for longtime K lovers and a long overdue shock for new fans.

Summary: Great!
Review: An awesome concert that all Kylie fans should own. It's definatly not as good as her "On A Night Like This Tour", but it's still great! The begining of the concert starts out slow with Kylie not exactly moving too much (unless you count moving her arm like a robot a dance move), but it get's much, much better. "Come Into My World" is the first song she sings, and it's probably the most boring part of the concert. "Shocked" is the second song, and she starts moving around a bit more here. The big turning point is with, I believe the fifth song, "Spinning Around." After this song, the concert is completely amazing with great dancing, awesome singing, ect. The ballads section in which Kylie sings three songs, "The Crying Game," "Put Yourself In My Place" and, "Finer Feelings" was done amazingly well. The very worst part would probably be the back-up dancers' costumes. Oh, those poor people. They had to wear big silver diaper things, mail boxes on their heads, white leotards with black dots on their chests, it was bad. But, other than that, the concert was awesome and Kylie had some pretty cool costumes. Definatly consider getting this if you're a Kylie fan, and definatly get the "Live In Sydney" DVD as well, which, in my opinion, is better.

Summary: Saw it Live Twice. Live Show vs. DVD - A Comparison
Review: A rarity among Kylie's many fans around the world, I am an American who was lucky enough to actually see this show twice while traveling in Australia this past August. I saw her in Sydney, where I had excellent seats two rows back from the corner of stage right and again the following week for the second to last show of the tour in her hometown of Melbourne where I was 13 rows back dead center from the edge of the runway.

These views offered a unique perspective of the show. The show is tightly choreographed, one really no different than the other. This was evident during the Melbourne show, when Kylie called an audible during the encore and they played "Koocachoo" for the first time during this tour as the final song. The dancers had no idea what to do.

I believe this DVD has captured the essence, fun, and excitement of the show. First off, she makes a great entrance when she comes up out of the stage in her Space Vixin Kylie Get-Up. She is quite stunning to look at. "Come into my world" kicks the show off into high gear right from the start and was one of the highlights for me.

One thing I was impressed with is that as far as I could tell she doesn't lip sync. This may explain why she only does the "Arm Dance" mentioned in the other reviews.

Personally, If I'm paying [alot] for a show I would rather see an artist sing than dance around pretending to sing while sweating like a pig. I felt ripped off sitting fourth row at Janet Jackson's "Velvet Rope" tour and watching her lip sync worse than a poorly overdubbed Kung Fu movie. Kudos to Kylie who delivers the goods in this respect. She has a great voice.

While many live concerts are presented in mono, this show had many stereo effects that translate well for the DVD pesentation. "Light Years" is a good example and another concert highlight for me. The projections were mesmerising as she raises her arm up to the videowall and beams of light seem to shoot from her hand.

Overall, the stage presentation and light show is excellent and the dancers first rate. I was sitting behind the guy running the Hydralic control console and can assure you there is a lot going on in this show from a technical standpoint. The editing of the DVD is also done well. Cutaways are spaced enough to give you a feel for what was actually going on, but not too much so you start to get dizzy and induce an epileptic fit while watching it.

It's too bad she isn't more popular in the USA. I would recommend this DVD to anyone - even the casual fan from America who may not be familiar with her songs. Like me, I'm sure you'll discover new favorites.
