Summary: This left DOES NOT feel right!!!!
Review: I guess this is what happens to mega-rock stars who have too much money and too much time:

They forget what made them what they are today, and, even more importantly, they forget the people who got them to where they are today - their true fans.

Don't buy this crap. It isn't worth the kilojoules you burn to put it into your dvd player.

Summary: Good sleep aid....LAME DVD!
Review: I just bought this DVD and was dissapointed beyond belief. Here I was expecting to be rocked and instead it was Bon Jovi on qualudes, playing in a bar that forgot to pay the electric bill. They really should label it when it is an ALL ACOUSTIC concert. But no...instead they make it LOOK like it was worth buying.
Don't get me wrong...some bands can do acoustic sets and still rock. But either this band can't or it was a really bad night. My advice is if you like the acoustic versions of songs then buy the CD and turn out the lights cause this DVD has no visual stimulation at all and too many meaningless, boring ramblings between songs.

Summary: Terrible DVD!
Review: I love Bon Jovi. They wrote some classic songs, and Jon Bon Jovi is one of the best frontmen ever. But this DVD is a disgrace to rock 'n roll. All I can say is "why did they make this"?It is 108 minutes of slow acoustic ballads."You Give Love A Bad Name" was one of the best rock songs of the 80's.Now it is a crappy pop song.Same thing with "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Bad Medicine".They went from rocker's to piano ballads."It's My Life" and "Everday are modern rock anthems. Here they are piano ballads. The only good songs are "Wanted Dead Or Alive","Misunderstood",and one of the new songs,"Last Man Standing".The limited edition has a bonus disc with a feature called "Clip Poker" where if you win a hand of poker against Bon Jovi, you can watch a song from the 2003 concert in Hyde Park.Overall, get "The Crush Tour" instead. That is Bon Jovi as Bon Jovi, not this crap.

Review: I rented this DVD, but couldn't stop playing it, so I eventually had to buy it. It's brilliant! Maybe it's not for those who can't accept change, but life is change, and if you have an open heart and open mind and love music, this DVD and the songs done in such a muture, jaw dropping, mesmerizing, heart throbbing, and mind refreshing way can not fail to lift you up to the sky. I can't say enough about it. I love it!!! If you have the least bit of an open mind, GET IT! If this is the direction he's going I can't WAIT to hear what he does next!

Summary: Worth the Wait!
Review: I was one of the lucky few who was able to attend one of these special nights at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City. One of only two performances ever of the acoustic reworked versions of old friends. While the album was innovative, the live performance was a revelation. In this intimate setting the lyrics become more meaningful. Bad Name becomes a bluesy steamy number for example. It's My Life a poignant ballad of hope. Jon had pulled two new songs off the album but they are here. If you are at all concerned and disappointed lately at the disposable nature of music today do not miss Last Man Standing. This song should be required listening for anyone involved in the music industry- Janet and Justin are you listening? If that wasn't worth the price of the DVD alone check out the cover of the old Dr. Hook classic Sylvia's Mother. This country rock version is soulful and passionate. An impromptu acoustic Love for Sale which happened the first night due to technical difficulties opened the set the second night and got the crowd going and it is included here. Other favorites not on the TLFR CD are also here such as Saturday Night and Misunderstood. The extra features all value. If you get the limited edition you get to play poker with the guys and if you win you get to see footage from their legendary Hyde Park Concert of 2003 which drew 92,000 people to the park on a Sunday in June. If you are poker challenged you can go right to the footage but playing with the guys is a lot of fun. Bon Jovi should be proud of this DVD- Tony Bongiovi, the director went out of his way to make this more than the usual concert DVD.

Summary: O MY GOD!!!!
Review: I've been a Bon Jovi fan for many years and this is an insult to there type of rock and roll.

First lets get to the good. The video quality is SUPER because it was done in HD. But there's a catch, if you don't have an HD DVD player and HD TV you get the picture cut off on both sides. Titles are cut off, and in some cases you get only part of Richie and Hugh because there on either side. There are other examples of the cut off picture that I won't go into but believe me it's very noticealble.

The sound is supurb. It's in DTS or Dolby 5.1. Just SUPER.

Now the bad. If you want to use the Caption feature, it doesn't work.............

The concert is VERY LOW KEY. So if you are expecting the old Bon Jovi that were all use to, FORGET IT!. No power ballads or anything up beat. They took all those great song and slowed them down, and in some cases totally rewrote the music.

This is a radical dissapointment. But like I said before the picture is VERY clear, and the sound is SUPER.

Buy it at your own risk. I got it new for $12.00 at Best Buy and now it's going over to Dimple Records so I can sell it back for $4.00. Oh well, it's an $8.00 loss but at least I can save someone from making the same mistake.

Buy the way, I own vertually every Bon Jovi DVD and CD and there all great.

Summary: Not the Bon Jovi I remember
Review: If you are looking for a greatest hits CD so you can rock out to the songs that you loved as a teen, then this is NOT the CD for you. Somehow I missed that they had rerecorded all the songs. I don't think you should try to recreate a classic--especially if you are band that made it a classic in the first place. I really wish I could send this CD back or sell it in marketplace, clearly others feel the same way. There are a whole bunch for sale for under $2. If you are really curious buy one of those. I'm just bumming. I was ready for the music to "take me back" it certainly doesn't do that for me. I should have read more reviews!

Summary: Fantastic DVD
Review: Love this DVD. The concert itself is fantastic. Love the way the guys redid the songs. I especially love this version of LIVING ON A PRAYER. My other favorites hereinclude I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU, BAD MEDICINE( love how bluesy this sounds(yum).
I love the 2nd DVD also. Watching the Hyde Park clips brings back great memories of last summers concerts. The interviews, pictures and all the other things on this DVD makes it worth the money. BON JOVI rocks!!!!!!!
