Summary: Buy This DVD !!!
Review: If you are a fan of the Cure, you simply must own this DVD. It captures an amazing live performance spanning the entire songlist of three albums (Pornography, Disintegration, and Bloodflowers). It is extremely well done with amazing sound (almost like being in the audience) and crisp and clear visuals. I was very impressed by the performance of the band. They performed the songs flawlessly and with amazing energy. This is definitely the next best thing to seeing the Cure live. I highly recommend this DVD for all Cure fans. Buy it now, you won't be disappointed.

Review: Amazing sound quality, along with near perfection in video. The records that make up the Trilogy have always been my personal favorites. Angst, depression, and anger have never sounded so up-lifting.

Summary: The Cure - Trilogy DVD
Review: I have waited for quite a while for the Cure to put out another video with "A Strange Day", my all time favorite Cure song. I loved the version on Live in Orange. The version on the DVD is not as edgy, but great none the less.
This DVD is awesome. I have been a Cure fan for 20 years now and have liked or loved all of the releases. I even liked Robert Smith side project-Blue Sunshine.....
The music sounds great and I cannot get enough of it. My only regret is not seeing them live myself, but this is as close as I would guess it would be.
"Pornography", "Disentegration" and "Bloodflowers" are definitely a trilogy of albums and make a great flow for the time difference in release dates. A true Cure fan will not be disappointed. Would like to see this released as a CD.

Summary: You MUST have it
Review: If you like the Cure, you definitely must have this DVD. It's much better than the "Show" that I have waited years to be released. It has 122 + 101 minutes of live performance and interviews; it sounds like a good deal for just a few bucks.
The sound is excellent and the use of the cameras great.

I finally found the easter eggs to access the hidden selections (from ChainofFlowers).

On Disc 1

Go to the Disintegration set menu, highlight Plainsong, and click to the left. Click on that and see a split screen version of Plainsong from both nights, shot by Robert's handheld camera.

Still on the Disintegration set menu, highlight Same Deep Water As You, and click to the left. Click on that and watch Same Deep Water As You from the "Robertcam" (much like the Sinkingcam on the Dream Tour).

On Disc 2

Go to the Interview menu, highlight End Of An Era?, and click to the left. Click on that and you get some outtakes from the interviews.

Summary: a must-own dvd
Review: I've listened to every one of the cure's albums at least a hundred times, but i've never seen them live. I was absolutely shocked at how good this set is. The band either played three entire albums as flawlessly as humanly possible, or overdubbed the songs unnoticeably. The Disintegration set sounds almost identical to the recorded album (i.e., perfect.) The Pornography set sounds MUCH better: much more intensity, better craftsmanship, and you can finally hear the brilliance of the songs over the [bad] sound quality of the cd. Some of the kinks of Bloodflowers have been worked out, and the versions of "Watching Me Fall" and "There is No If..." sound much better sans the overproduction of the cd. There's some really nice, understated camera work and special effects, too. Just enough to add some atmosphere, but not overboard MTV-style stuff. The light show is also very elegant. Robert still sings with incredible intensity, and despite [messing] up the words to the song "Disintegration," sounds great throughout. The last encore, "The Kiss," completely blew me away. Since Robert usually plays slow, simple guitar melodies, I had no idea he could play a blazing solo like that. Totally exhilarating. My only complaints are that the menu screen is really annoying (it keeps resetting like every 5 seconds) and that the intro sequence is corny. But those are forgiveable sins. I also kind of like the fact that this dvd didn't get any hype...it makes you feel like you're in on a secret if you own it.

Summary: Simply Elegant!
Review: I was waiting for a long time for a live The Cure DVD, and I used to thought that maybe someday the "Show" or "In Orange" concerts will be remastered in this format. But, to my surprise, these guys released something that I never expected to see in my life: the Pornography-Disintegration-Bloodflowers albums recorded live in an awesome 2 DVD set filmed in Berlin in late 2002.

The picture quality is perfect, great shots, excellent audio and incredible performances in all of the three sets. My favorite one is definitely the "Bloodflowers" set in which the guys really gave them selfs on stage. Of course the "Pornography" and "Disintegration" sets are also brilliant, but the "Bloodflowers" set is simply outstanding.....just give a try to "Watching me Fall" or the opening "Out of this world" to understand what I mean.

It is so exciting to see Perry Bamonte now as the lead melodic guitar player of the band, I remember when Porl Thompson used to teach him to play "Never enough" in the "Play out" VHS..... but now Perry is taking all the job on his own in such a way that you can't even notice the abscence of Porl.

It is also a great job the one of Jason in the drums, specially by playing all those parts that Boris used to play for the "Disintegration" album......and Roger is definetely "the man" playing keyboards for the band. Simon's bass playing stills being the heart of the band, and of course, Robert Smith stills being the band itself.

I was so happy to notice that there were mexican flags in the first rows of the show!!

In summary, this is a must have DVD set for all those Cure fans or music passionates......it's SIMPLY ELEGANT!

Summary: great audio and video of a great show
Review: Fantastic picture shot on HD video. Great sound with Dobly 5.1 or 2-channel 48 kHz PCM. Three great albums. The Cure have never sounded (or looked) better.

Summary: A Dream Come True
Review: The Cure is arguably one of the most underrated bands on the planet. Although many people have a vague notion of the Cure as a poppy 80's band (Boys Don't Cry, Just Like Heaven) the true musical genius of the band shines on epics like 100 Years and The Same Deep Water As You. This DVD showcases the darker side of the Cure that has made them legendary. It contains absolutely stunning complete performances of arguably their 3 best recordings (Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers).

The editing is very well done in my opinion. Unlike many 'music video' type DVDs the editing doesn't get in the way of the performance. If anything it enhances it. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this masterpiece and recommend it whole-heartedly.

Summary: Sencillamente espectacular.

Summary: BEST Review!
Review: Concise, accurate review from a long-time Cure fan who is VERY familiar with their live work:

1)Sound quality - Excellent.
2)Video quality - Average. Very "VHS-quality," and not sharp.
3)Editing quality - Poor. Whoever assembled this video felt the need to rotate between all 12 camera views as quickly as possible for much of the show. It's very disorienting, and makes all of the musicians' subtle nuances look like stereotypical posing.
4)Performance quality - Varied. I have to disagree with the "official" review here almost completely. The Pornography and Bloodflowers performances were the best, overall.

The Disintegration set, on the other hand, suffered from poor tones (Simon's bass tone was too raw and harsh, Robert's Bass VI was very weak in volume and somewhat scratchy, and Roger's keyboards were often not loud enough). These same problems also affected the 2 encore songs, "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" and "The Kiss."

That all being said, this is a worthwhile purchase for any Cure fan, though it may not be the best introduction for those not familiar with the band. I would recommend the "Show" video for someone looking for a more representative (and better filmed) performance.
