Summary: MARKETING - THINK MARKETING
Review: Of course the Video/DVD package as released is great. And yes, other videos should've been included. However, everyone is missing the main thrust here: MARKETING. The desired videos WILL be released - in the future - as a separate package(s). Madonna IS the original MATERIAL girl and CASH is the material, my friends. Trust me - You'll See, and then you can all Take A Bow - it's Human Nature. BYE - Beautiful Strangers!

Summary: ABSOLUTE MUST-HAVE
Review: Warner-Reprise videos never set out to issue the definitive Madonna video collection, nor is this collection labeled The Complete Madonna '90's Video Collection. The collection simply serves to represent significant landmarks in an artist's career; for a video artist of Madonna's caliber this is an overwhelmingly daunting task! This can be attested to by the first Madonna collection, which omitted the low-budget but nevertheless historically significant Everybody video, and any of her popular TV show performances of Holiday which were well-choreographed, visually engaging and qualify for a music video any day. Add to that The Immaculate Collection which omitted Dress you Up, True Blue and Dear Jessie (not to mention the videos-from-films Crazy For You, Gambler,Live To Tell, Who's That Girl and Causing A Commotion. The Madonna Video Collection '93-'99 follows the same avenue. Wanna see Erotica? Grab a copy of the Sex book. Deeper and Deeper? Love the car and the dress but the presence of the Ray of Light video will make the dance club scene a target for cynical comments like, video cliche... You'll See? The photography here may be superior but as a sequel to the musical narrative of Take A Bow, showing the two together may be a little too tedious for today's hyperkinetic and attention-deficient audience. I Want You? Supreme acting but did anybody really hear this song on the radio? Obviously not since this was never released as a single. Contrary to common misconception, Madonna is not a show-off. She simply knows how to put on a good show. She knows the value of peaks and valleys, of conflict, catharsis and denouement, of the balance between ballad and uptempo musical forms. Moreover, SHE KNOWS she's MASTER of the video artform. She doesn't want to rub that fact in your face. And she doesn't want to offer you Benadryl-in-a-cartridge by lumping together 9 (! )ballads, You'll See and I Want you included.

To the Madonna fan, the popular culture observer and the music video enthusiast, this music video definitely belongs in your library of THE BEST IN MUSIC VIDEOS. Put this one under my tree, Santa Baby!

Summary: Madonna, queen of videos!
Review: Although some of the best videos were excluded from this collection, Madonna still shines through her other video's. Videos such as Human Nature and Frozen top the list. This video collection truly shows Madonna's work from 93' - 99'!

Summary: MASTERFUL MADONNA
Review: Excellent sequence of videos with the masterful touch of Madonna creativity. The sound in 5.1 is tight, allowing the surrounds to blend in for the feeling of total involvement of both sight and sound. Each video is so well directed and produced, that you feel like you're watching short movies.Definitely a must for your dvd music collection.

Summary: Visionary work of artisitic expression...
Review: Madonna has always been visionary, in music and in fashion. Her videos are excellent representations of the merger between music and fashion. Highly stylish and fashionable, every Madonna video collection in this collection, whether fast or slow, brings out the best in Madonna. Of course, the directors of the videos must be credited too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED videos include Rain, Take A Bow, Bedtime Story, Human Nature, Ray Of Light, Nothing Really Matters and Beautiful Stranger. Of course, it was disappointing that such celebrated videos like Justify my Love, Erotica, I Want You &1 You'll See were excluded. Otherwise a FULL 5-STAR collection!

Summary: I AGREE
Review: I agree with 'RGD from Taiwan'--Shut up and just enjoy the video! If you're upset that 'Erotica' or 'I Want You' aren't in this collection--TELL WARNER BROTHERS. Otherwise, don't ruin other people's chances of owning a most worthy 5-star video collection.

Summary: Classic but no cigar!
Review: Well - yes - it has been a while since we were allowed to purchase a video packed with the hits of the diva herself but now this tidy package arrives. There are, of course, some fantastic videos here to feast your eyes on. Human Nature will forever remain a standout for me as it is marvellously simplistic but oh-so effective and is also Madonna's best retort to her critics (Absolutely no regrets). However, the best comes later with the likes of Frozen, Ray of Light and Beautiful Stranger - not only infectious songs but brilliantly executed videos with stunning visuals. Unfortunately, and this has been echoed by so many others, why-oh-why has Love Don't Live Here Anymore been included and the likes of Erotica, Deeper and Deeper, You'll See, I'll Remember (need I go on) been excluded? It is a pity as they are all fine artistic moments from a woman who never takes no for an answer. Therefore the issuing of this video cannot be considered a decision by the lady herself as she would wish these classics to be included. Nonetheless, this is a vital addition to any fan's collection and also those who are connoisseurs of music from the 1990s. Long may she reign in Y2K!

Summary: MADONNA: Master of Video
Review: I'm just as upset about some of her best videos not making the final cut. However, I am just as pleased to be able to add such classics as "Rain" to my video library. The DVD version's quality is amazing. The colors are beautiful and so is Madonna. I'm very pleased with the entire package. Of course any "TRUE" Madonna fan will be happy with this product, regardless if there are some videos missing. Remember "You'll See" had two version of the video. Maybe she couldn't make up her mind on which was better. And if she did put one in the collection, I'm sure someone would complain that the other was better. It's just a no win situation for her. So Please Just Give Her A break!

Summary: Shut up and grab yourself a copy!
Review: Now I am sick of hearing the grouch about lacking these videos, lacking those...For all you out there, if you're a real supportive fan, just shut the hell up, make this one of your Madonna collecion, and write a complaint letter to WB, instead of yelling here, for that really won't get you nowhere, besides WB executives will not come by here to read your messages. So save your energy and time, pleeeeeeeeeeease. Just take this DVD home and watch it a thousand times and more...
