Summary: Great if you don't have it!
Review: Okay this is a great video for those that want everything probably already at your house in better condition. I for one had better sound of the Motown Billie Jean performance than from the original show shown back in '83. The videos shown are : History advertiserment shown on t.v. to promote the History album with the statue), Billie Jean from Motown performance, Beat It, Liberian Girl, Smooth Criminal (edited moonwalker version not the original video), MTV performance from 1995, Thriller, Scream, STranger IN Moscow, Childhood, Blood on the Dance Floor, You Are not alone, (basically all the History videos, except the mixes) and the Teaser. Basically, I had all this stuff the only good thing about it was it was in stereo and clearer and brushed up from eighties. Other than that I'd think this was a waste of money. Nothing new on here.

Summary: Don't get it if you're a true fan
Review: Okay, first off I've seen everything on this video already. If you're a true fan, this didn't do anything for you. I know I know what about the intro with the troops and showing the big statue like on the cover. Well, that was shown on t.v. to promote the history c.d. Also, the Billie Jean live from motown had the ending cut off. If you watched it back then, you'll get the three songs performed instead of just billie jean. there are a lot of his videos here. no remixes though like they've been shown on t.v. such as the megamix history i guess with a mixture of all his songs. Ummm the Smooth criminal video was cut down a couple of minutes from the original. The Teaser is about ten years old by the way!

Summary: Best DVD that i have bought
Review: Since I am a Jackson fan for more than half of my life now (I am 21) and not only his music but also the man himself are very special to me, you could say that I am not exactly the ideal person to critic this dvd. But for those, who, just like me, love Michaels music and his performances with all their heart, this is the one dvd to have. And for those who don't like Michael's work but who are interested in seeing some of the best chartographed dance performances, this dvd is still worth its money. Finally, I hope that there will be a 3rd "HisTory" Video/DVD for there is surely a lot of material left, that isn't inclouded in "History - Video Greatest Hits" or "HisTory on Video Vol. 2".

Summary: The Modern Media *-PLUS-* The Historic Hits
Review: The HIStory On Film, Volume II DVD is an AWESOME disc for those who wanted MORE after buying HIStory On Film or is a suuuper DVD for any collector or Michael Jackson lover. The only fault in the DVD is that it must be flipped to view the second session of its content. It is STILL DEFINITELY a 5-star DVD! It's only a little annoying when you're loafing, dazed by the Michael magic, to pry yourself from your sofa to flip the disc.

Side One is a collection of the greatest performances and classic hits (2 which weren't on HIStory On Film). The compliation is a nice little memory trip. If you're a kid, it is nice to catch some of those old moments that you weren't around to see.

:::Side One:::

~*~ Teaser [from 'HIStory' Album]
~*~ Motown 25: Billie Jean Performance [ Michael Jackson's first MOONWALKING !]
~*~ Beat It
~*~ Liberian Girl
~*~ Smooth Criminal (phenominal full-lenth video)
~*~ 1995 MTV Video Music Awards Performance
~*~ Thriller

Side Two may have been separated from Side One because of its content. Michael Jackson has always liked to be family friendly in his lyrics and videos. However, Side Two features 'SCREAM' in which Janet Jackson flashes the finger, and 'You Are Not Alone' with Michael Jackson and his beloved ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley next to nude. You will still want to watch the 'Earth Song' video which is, to say the least, stunning and 'Brace Yourself', an awesome collage sort of piece.

:::Side Two:::

~*~ Scream
~*~ Childhood [song featured in FREE WILLY 2]
~*~ You Are Not Alone
~*~ Earth Song [an emotional masterpiece]
~*~ They Don't Care About Us [South American version]
~*~ Stranger In Moscow
~*~ Blood On The Dance Floor [Refugee Camp remiX]
~*~ Brace Yourself [klaleidoscope of Michael-mania]

The whole DVD aims to please and is stellar! 'SMOOTH CRIMINAL' will have you dancing for days, while 'EARTH SONG' will keep you crying for years to come. Well worth the petty 17 dollars!! A piece of music history.

Summary: Michael Jackson outdoes himself with this video!
Review: The King of Pop does it again with HIStory on Film: Vol. 2! Below is a summary of each video/peformance:
TEASER- This commercial for the HIStory album is just as extravagant as one of Michael's music videos. Featuring Michael himself amidst thousands of soldiers, you can't go wrong with this. AWESOME!
BILLIE JEAN (Performance from Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, and Forever)- This shocking performance earned Michael Jackson an Emmy nomination and started the Moonwalking craze that lives on today. CLASSIC!
BEAT IT- This video, which was also featured on HIStory: Video Greatest Hits Vol. 1, is a classic from THRILLER. Featuring real gang members and stunning choreography, this video is a must-have!
LIBERIAN GIRL- This video from BAD is VERY rare. I did not know it even existed before I bought this tape. Features cameos from Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Dreyfuss, Danny Glover, and even Bubbles!
SMOOTH CRIMINAL- There are many versions of this music video, but the one on this tape is probably the best. Probably the best choreography of any of Michael's videos. INDISPENSIBLE!
1995 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS PERFORMANCE- A showstopping performance! This is a 15-minute medly with Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, The Way You Make Me Feel, Scream, Beat It, Black Or White, Billie Jean, Dangerous, Smooth Criminal, and You Are Not Alone. One of the most memorable performances in MTV's HIStory!
THRILLER- The music video of all music videos. The masterpiece. Zombies... Werewolves... Vincent Price... What more could you ask for? Directed by John Landis(An American Werewolf in London) this video is heralded by many as the greatest music video of all time!
SCREAM (Vocal duet with Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson)- The video that shocked the world in 1995. With a monstrous $7 million budget and great special effects, this video is one of my favorites. The first and only duet with Michael and Janet, this video was worth every cent.
CHILDHOOD (Theme from Free Willy 2)- One of Michael's most earnest and honest songs. This video makes you wonder what it would be like to be a child for just one more day. GREAT!
YOU ARE NOT ALONE- Another great video, this was the first song ever to debut on the charts at number one. Featuring Lisa Marie Presley and Michael together in the video, this is an instant classic!
EARTH SONG- One of Michael Jackson's most powerful video and song EVER! This video was actually filmed in four different continents, and the people in the video are not professional actors but actually people of that region. This video is one of my personal favorites, for it is so powerful.
THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US- A great song and video with awesome percussion. This video was banned from MTV and VH1 because of the contreversy surrounding the lyrics. Directed by Spike Lee.
STRANGER IN MOSCOW- An awesome song with a simple yet great concept video. It is just people walking in the rain, but when you see the video, it is so much more.
BLOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR (Refugee Camp Mix)- This video shows Michael dancing in a club with friends. Although the video is nothing too special, the song is GREAT! AWESOME!
BRACE YOURSELF: A KALIEDESCOPE OF MICHAEL JACKSON HISTORY- Featured on the first HIStory video, this shows glimpses of Michael in concert and elsewhere.
With this video coupled with HIStory: Video Greatest Hits Vol. 1 you have just about all of Michael Jackson's best videos and performances. ALL HAIL THE KING OF POP!
Look for Michael Jackson's new album INVINCIBLE to be released in the USA on October 30 and internationally on October 29. So what're you waiting for?

Summary: It's the king of pop, the way you wanna see him.
Review: The king of pop, an artist since he was just 5 years old. What more can you say. It's the best video he has ever made. A must-have for every fan, and for the real music-lover something to watch with a lot of fun. His videos are the best, they are short films, one by one... have you seen ghosts. That's scary!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A MUST for MJ fans!
Review: The songs are brilliant, the Sound & Picture are great! What I liked the most was the teaser at the beginning and the ending Treasure Chest!!!

You cannot take this as the only MJ greatest songs, there are so many great ones that are not included on this DVD... plus this DVD has no extras at all. But no matter what better have it and hope that other DVDs of his are to come.

Summary: "Michael Jackson Shines in 13 Outstanding Performances"
Review: This DVD by Michael Jackson, features 13 of his greatest music videos and television performances, from 1983 to 1997.
The most outstanding performance on this DVD would have to be the live version of "Billie Jean", which was performed way back in 1983. This was the very first time that Michael ever performed the "moonwalk" in public, and the rest is HIStory.
Other highlights include 1989's "Liberian Girl (from BAD)"
"Smooth Criminal (short version)", a "1995 MTV performance"
"Scream", "You Are Not Alone", and "Blood on the Dance Floor."
It was great to finally have "Smooth Criminal" on DVD. I also own the VHS "Moonwalker (1988)", but the tracking on the video has gone to hell. Now I can watch "Smooth Criminal", whenever I want to, along with "Billie Jean (live)", "Beat It" and "Thriller", which I also own on VHS as well.
Any fan of great dancing, catchy beats, R&B, and phenominal directing, would enjoy this treat by the King of Pop,
"Michael Jackson." Hopefully, he'll put out another DVD in the near future (maybe "Moonwalker?").

Summary: HIStory: Volume II
Review: This DVD is so good I had to order the first volume. It shows his vintage performance at the motown celebration, his 1995 MTV performance which was just excellent and a host of other videos like scream, they don't care about us, stranger in moscow, childhood, you are not alone, etc etc. It is mostly for those who enjoyed disc 2 of the HIStory CD. It may not be worth getting on DVD, but it is still worth getting if you love MJ.
