Summary: What a band! What a great DVD!
Review: I purchased this two months ago and it seems as though the DVD has not left the DVD player. What I like the most is that there are video's with Corabi on it (Smoke the Sky/Misunderstood). If you like the CRUE, pick it up. It rocks from start to finish and the inteviews with Sixx and Lee are great. Kick Start Your Heart with this one!

Summary: Long Live The Crue
Review: I saw Motley Crue on the Dr. Feelgood tour back in '89, I think. That was the tour where Tommy Lee did his drum solo across the arena ceiling. I loved the whole show. As the years went on, I saw every video that Motley Crue ever made. At some point, I was hoping they would come out with a longform video compiling all their music videos. Good things come to those who wait! I bought "Greatest Video Hits" last year and I highly recommend it. It's loaded with extras, so you get your money's worth. If you only ever own one Motley Crue dvd, you should get this one!

Review: I'm sorry that my P.S. in my last review doesn't make any sense. It says "the songs for "Take Me To The Top","Public Enemy #1,and a VIDEO for "Shout At The Devil '97".What I meant to say was that the videos for the aforementioned songs were easter eggs.

Summary: MOTLEY MAYHEM
Review: It's about time that almost all of the Crue's videos were released on a single DVD. With 21 videos, 6 alternate versions, and 3 hidden tracks, this disc contains everything off of the Uncensored and Dr. Feelgood VHS tapes (minus the hysterical connecting bits) and most of the Decade Of Decadence VHS tape (All In The Name Of... [Live] is left off). The 3 hidden videos are Take Me To The Top, Public Enemy Number One (both early clips were briefly glimpsed on Uncensored), and Shout At The Devil '97. With a new interview with Nikki and Tommy, this collection ought to hold any diehard Crue fan until they hit the road in '04 and bring their brand of mayhem to a venue near you.

Summary: Quality Control
Review: Look, folks, easter eggs and cool menus DO NOT a good dvd make. Like most people, I bought this format for quality. And the sound quality on this is substandard to say the least. Some songs are loud, some are quiet, and others fade in and out. And the differences in volume are not so subtle they can't be noticed. So this is not nitpicking and "whining", and the deaf dude who thinks everything's perfect needs to give his miracle ear a tune-up. I bought this only because it was on dvd, and I expect certain standards to be met. Maybe I don't want to turn the volume up and down, just like I don't want to hold an antenna up in the air to listen to the radio. Get it? I still give this 3 stars because it's the only Motley dvd with non-boring content. But the quality should have been better, and every time I hear it, you can bet I'll whine some more.

Summary: Long Live the Crue!
Review: Man, what a great collection of videos and songs! I am so happy I finally got to see the video for 'Afraid', it makes me wonder even more how this wasn't a hit - it's seriously one of the coolest videos I've ever seen (and an amazing song to match)! Also, I must confess, I had no idea the Crue made 3 videos with Corabi - and they're all great (especially 'Misunderstood'). Of course all the classics are there, too. The picture and sound are crystal clear - and the interview segments with Nikki and Tommy are entertaining and insightful (I love when they discuss how underrated 'S/T' and 'Generation Swine' are - couldn't agree more). I had no trouble locating the 'easter egg' for 'Shout At the Devil '97', but still am unable to access 'Take Me To the Top' and 'Publc Enemy #1' (which are supposidly on here as well). Crue was never the deepest or most profound band, but man this is some awesome rock and it's great to see this career spanning collection of videos.

Summary: This Is How A Music Video Collection Should Be Done
Review: MOTLEY CRUE's Greatest Video Hits is a prime example of how a music video collection is done. For one all the videos are on here [even the uncensored ones], all of the videos on this disc are digitally remastered in 5.1 sound. I also enjoyed the interview with Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee, I think more music video collections should include a retrosepect interview or documentary on either the band or them. I really enjoy collecting DVDs, I espically enjoy collecting music video collections. I have been a Motley Crue fan for a long time and besides there music I love there videos too and I'm glad it was released on a new format and all together. I'm dissapointed that the haven't released there 1983 US festival performance, I have seen bits and pieces of there performance there and it is fantastic and it is [to me] DVD worthy. This DVD is excellent and I recommend it to any Motley Crue fan or DVD collector.
