Summary: Reworking of songs somewhat dull
Review: Sometimes I wish artists wouldn't stray from the way they originally released songs. The problem with this DVD is that many of the songs have been altered and sound more uptempo - or in some cases they are very quick versions of the songs.
I realise Sting is trying to create an intimate surrounding with an unplugged type of atmosphere - but I didn't enjoy it.

I wish they would release a Sting music video DVD!

Summary: Excellent Performance; Powerful Message to the World
Review: Sting continues to reinvent himself and this DVD is a proven fact of this. In this intimate concert, Sting conveys a powerful message to the World: no matter what other people do, no one will ever be able to take hostage our love for music.

The sound is excellent. The music arrangements are breath-taking. Sting mastered his way in converting old and recent songs into new ones. The documentary is a valuable source to view deep into the making of Sting's music, and this concert.

Simply worth having.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: Sting is the ultimate performer. I can't think of another performer who can blend so many different elements into his music. The set list flows and fills a fan with everything they want and need. When he does Fragile my whole body gets chills. Especially, when I think of the circumstance of the day he performed it, Sept. 11th. Overall, what an amazing artist and concert.

Summary: Another fine Sting Concert Video
Review: Sting show us a different side of his music with this private and unplugged like concert. Relased along with a CD of the same name, this DVD gives you much more music and information than the CD. Besides from having a longer number of songs than the CD you get a docummentary of how this concert came about and footage from the rehearsal sessions. In many ways this video resembles Sting's first concert video when he toured as a solo artist for the first time as it contains both the documentary and the concert. Now, with DVD technology you can separate the interview from the concert.

The concert and the music again show how Sting as remained an amazing musicians looking for different ways to approach his own past without sounding boring. This time he uses strings and other musicians to bring new arregements to his songs with incredible results. Both sound and video quality are quite good as one would expect from this artist.

A very enjoyable concert for those who love good music

Summary: Mellow Sting
Review: The nightmare of September 11 didn't stop Sting from performing a great show at his home in Italy for a bunch of devotees (and cameras). While the concept is very self indulgent, give Sting credit for assembling an excellent cast of under-utilized musicians to augment his reworkings of his songbook.

The setting for All This Time is much different than last year's Brand New Day DVD. So too are the reworked versions of the songs performed. Some work better than others. Most are interesting. But even Manu Katché (drums) and bass wunderkind Christian McBride can't infuse too much life into dead tracks like Hounds of Winter or When We Dance.

The DVD adds extra performances and a long documentary including a full practice run through of Desert Rose with Cheb Mami that was not done during the actual show.

Get this DVD. It's well worth it.

Summary: Packed with the following:
Review: This CD is so full of stuff I still haven't seen it all. The behind the scenes film is probably longer than the concert. The tragedy is this was filmed the night of Sept. 11th. Therefore, Sting's mood is solemn and the overall tone of the concert is mellow. The concert is intimate with the backstage footage allowing you to really get to know the musicans you see behind him and his willingness to "share the spotlight" with all of them. He is a great guy and I love Italy. If you love Sting, this is a must, it's totally worth your money. These new concert DVD's are fabulous.

Summary: Incredible
Review: This dvd is amazing. The collection of first class musicians amd the re-working of a lot of the tunes into new arrangements makes it not just another live show. Coupled with the date of the recording (september 11, 2001) makes this compelling viewing. Watching Sting sing "Fragile" at the beginning of the concert shows why he is still so successful after all this time. He is the real deal. He sings and plays from his heart. I was deeply moved by the opening performance.

Summary: the best music DVD I own
Review: This DVD is an intimate look at an artist with presence that only 5-6 performers in the world have. I have never been a huge fan of Sting, got this DVD on a whim, and have fallen in love with the man and the music. You need to buy this DVD.

Summary: Great DVD!
Review: This DVD is best viewed the first time by selecting the documentary portion. The sound is awesome and the video is gorgeous. The somber mood in the beginning of the concert (since it was filmed on September 11, 2001) came through vividly as did the rise in spirits the band and audience received as the performace progressed. I have several concert DVDs and this one is the best made one yet.
