Summary: ]superb, extremely well planned and entertaining
Review: Barbra, musicians and cast put on the performance of the century. A life story in music, Barbra entertains like never before. You can tell that a great deal of planning went into this concert and it shows with the quality and effort. This is a DVD I can watch over and over, and share with others. A must-have for anyone who even remotely likes Barbra...you won't be disappointed. An excellent performance.

Summary: Barbra is spectacular -- as usual!
Review: Having just seen this program on television, I am waiting anxiously for the video. No one else can sing a song as beautifully as Barbara Streisand does with that gorgeous, crystal-clear voice. And now I am also sure that no one else can do better producing, writing, and directing either. She does it all. And with such class! The songs she chose and the feelings with which she sings them go directly to your heart. Such songs as "Send in the Clowns", "Papa" (from Yentl), "He is Wonderful" (from The King and I), her own song, "Evergreen", and of course "People". And many, many more. She also sings duets with herself, by singing along with clips from her movies. It is truly a spectacular show. She reminds you of what music should sound like and what it can do to your soul. I have ordered this video and can't wait for it to arrive!

Review: Having listened to most of Barbra's albums, I am still in awe of her power, intelligence, and beauty on stage. Timeless is a tribute to a woman who's never taken NO for an answer, always striving to be better, and succeeding most of the time. With each rendition, Barbra makes each song her own. Her voice is certainly different now than it was 41 years ago when she started singing (less strident, much deeper and soulful), and her skills as a singer are light years better. She feels every note and sings it, the power of her voice still unrivaled and her sentiment still visceral.The listener will be fascinated by the fact that outside of the safe and controlled confines of the studio, this predominantly studio artist shines with a rare and brilliant light. This production will remain one of my favorite treasures for years to come.

Review: Having seen this show in both Vegas and New York, I was pleasantly surprised at how the DVD actually does capture some of the magic of those evenings. She may have been in slightly better voice at the Garden in September, 2000; but this DVD has it all--the hushed pin-drop silence during the ballads, and the frenzy during The Main Event. While everyone claims to be a diva or legend these days, this show will demonstrate once again that the greatest star is still the greatest star, and her name is Barbra.

Summary: Out of this World
Review: I attended the Timeless concert in New York on both nights. I had travelled from England just to see her live for the last time as I had seen her in 1994 at Wembeley. It cost me alot of money but it was worth every penny. Timeless was out of this world, it was a trip down memory lane for Barbra, sharing her life with her fans. Her voice was so powerful and she looked fantastic. The concert was perfection itself, every little detail was perfect and well thought out and she proceeded to entertain us as only she can. The concert in NY showed Barbra to be very relaxed and enjoying herself, she even asked the audience if it was alright if she took her shoes off and put her slippers on as her feet were killing her! I would like to finish this review by saying that this Video/DVD/Audio is definately worth watching, although to be there in person on her closing night was incredible her voice needs to be shared with everyone. Barbra will still be recording albums as she told us but it was time to say goodbye to live performing as she has now conqured her fears for her fans it was time to concentrate on family life and her marriage now. Review: i did not get to see the valentines day tv broadcast, but my incredible dvd arrived today and... w o w !!! my lady and i had gose bumps! there is no other showman out there like barbra! she looks awesome and her voice is still awe inspiring! the picture quality and 5.1 ac 3 sound both were utterly magnificent! wether you buy or rent, do not miss this great happening..an instant classic for the ages to savor! i plan on viewing it again tomorrow!

Summary: Relive the experience of being there all over again
Review: I have to say that I do agree with other peoples' comments and definitely recommend this dvd to anyone who loves Barbra. I myself enjoyed the concert a lot, having attended her "Timeless" concert while she was in Sydney, Australia. Even though I am giving this DVD a 5 stars rating due to the quality of the DVD, sound, stage lighting, I have to say that I wish there is a DVD-version of the 1994-1995 "The Concert". I really feel that these two concerts are quite different, and think the first one was a lot more "emotional" than Timeless. May be that was because of the fact that "The Concert" was her first concert in more than 10-20 years, and therefore people "felt" very special toward that concert. If you can stand VHS quality, I would suggest that you see "The Concert", in addition to "Timeless".
