Rating: Summary: The Dance ! Review: Fleetwood Macs reunion CD and video "The Dance" are fantastic. As a fan since the 70's when Lindsey and Stevie joined up, I have to say this band has never sounded better. Lindsey's acoustic Big Love and Go Insane take your breath away, and Stevie has never looked (or sounded) so good! I was VERY happy to see Silver Springs finally get the recognition this excellent song has always deserved, and Stevie's Rhiannon is still as sweet and magical as ever. Christine McVie's voice seems stronger than the old days, and her talent as a hit-maker isn't lost in her new song "Temporary One". Overall, this video is a MUST for anyone who loves music, and love the MAC!
Rating: Summary: A most excellent performance. Review: After watching this video at a stereo store, I had to buy it for myself. Totally mesmerizing, one that you would watch over and over. Although I liked Fleetwood Mac before, this video made me a true fan. The combination of talent and consistency of the group make it an excellent performance.
Rating: Summary: Awesome, very entertaining! Review: A great video! The sound is incredible and the music is even better. This is what makes owning a DVD player worthwile.
Rating: Summary: My first time and they were great. Review: This was my first DVD purchase and I thought Mac was outstanding. I had never seen them before although I enjoyed their music over the years. Was turned off when one of their hits became Clinton/Gore theme but I have overcome this because of their talent.
Rating: Summary: Great introduction to DVD! Review: This was my first purchase of any DVD title. I had seen the video before, but the DVD quality of video and sound was awsome. Great songs, especially "silver spring", "Rhiannon", "Go Your Own Way", "Songbird", too many others to mention. Overall, I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone who loves great music.
Rating: Summary: magical!!! Review: Fleetwood Mac is absolutely ageless, and this video proves it. The raw power and talent of this legendary band shines thru again. Stevie's voice is still primo, and she continues to have spellbinding effect on her audience. This video is a "must buy" for all F M fans!!!
Rating: Summary: When the USC Trojan Marching Band comes on stage, hold on! Review: In the middle of "Tusk," the USC Trojan Marching Band comes on stage, and just blows you away! To have about 90 people on stage at the same time, including the members of the Mac, words cannot do it justice. You have to see the last songs with the USC band to understand the meaning of The Dance...because that's exactly what you'll be doing, as the horns, a dozen drummers and the Mac all keep rocking and rocking until it builds to a dramatic climax. Unbelievable show!
Rating: Summary: Great Concert Review: Allthough it did not have the best video Quality, it was a GREAT Concert. Silver Springs was exelent and I thought Rhiannon was just as good. With the comments of "it was better when they were high" I think maybe you should get off the crack YOU are smoking because Stevie is even better now than ever!
Rating: Summary: Excellent sound quality, good video and great material! Review: This is a great trip down memory lane for anyone growing up with Fleetwood Mac in the 70s and 80s. While Stevie can's hit all of the notes she could 20 years ago, that is only evident on a couple of songs. Gypsy, Landslide and Silver Springs alone are worth getting this DVD for, but there are many others that make this concert very enjoyable to watch and listen to. Mick Fleetwood's drums come through clean but not overpowering, and Lindsey Buckingham's guitar work is superb. There are a couple of songs I would not have picked to include, but overall it is a 95% success rate for content. Had the neighbors over last Saturday night and we played this DVD LOUD! Afterward - neighbor's wife asked where to buy a DVD player!
Rating: Summary: Boring Reunion Review: I think Billy Burnete and Rick Vito, along with Lindsey should have returned. What I hated about this tape was "Stand Back" was delayed till the tour. "Rhiannon" and "Dreams" if you can't sing it don't try. "Everywhere" I hated this version, Stevie and Lindsey should have sung lighter to give Christine, Sharon(stevies freind and back up singer), and Mindy sing it. "Go INsane" this song was tacky. "Songbird" showcased how much Christine had lost her voice. "The Chain" oh, I loved " the Mirage Video" version better, when Stevie and Chris was high it kicked ass. The good highlight was "Over my head", "Landslide" "Sweet Girl" "Don't Stop" and "Silver Springs" plus "So Affraid"Where is "Little Lies", "save me", "7 wonders", "Hold me" and "Sara" + "Sisters"
