Summary: This is who she is!
Review: The DVD of Alanis Morissette is a must have for a fan of Alanis. It is not just one concert but moves through different cities and stages. I found this entertaining and kept the video fresh. Her views on things are also a good break to all music. This DVD is excellently produced and Alanis's voice shines through. Again if you are a true fan there should be no delay in buying. If you just enjoy her music you should seriously consider buying this because it is a freah and well produced DVD. (The VHS is worth it as well.)

Summary: Bogus Title
Review: The people who are giving this video multiple stars are undoubtedly Alanis ...-and that is fine-she is very talented. But the title of the disc is "Jagged Little Pill-LIVE!" and that is absolutely NOT what the video is. It is, as other reviewers have noted, a collection of clips of variable quality, of Alanis and the band in all sorts of situations. It IS NOT A CONCERT VIDEO as the name implies.
The only DVD, that I am aware of, with quality Alanis performances is "The Paris Concert for Amnesty International." She gives great performances of "Baba", "Hand In My Pocket" and "Thank U."

Summary: that she would be good
Review: The style of this video, I believe, reflects that of the "Little Pill" itself. From raw concert footage and rehearsals, to poetic moments and random isights, this is the perfect look at Early Alanis and her art. Whether it reflects her view of life at the time or her feelings on the topics of her songs, this video plainly reveals that she is a brilliant piece of work, and her life, like all of ours, is rapidly changing. This tour video is a must-see for those who respected and followed her first album (her second takes a quite noticeably different and more personal approach). Although Alanis does not strive to cause a profound affect on the world, inevitably, she "can't not".

Summary: This video was an excellent insight into her creative mind .
Review: The video allows the viewer to see what events have and still inspire the singer's lyrics. There are personal notes about the artists life and scenes from concerts as well. For instance, Alanis sings "Over The Rainbow" in the street with a friend. Great stuff!! The music chosen is excellent.

Summary: Jagged big disappointment
Review: This DVD is lost some where between home video and bootleg. It is too choppy to enjoy, constant changing from one concert location to another, several times during each song. There is entirely too much going on at any singular moment. In addition most of the sound track is of amateur quality. I actual got a headache trying to watch it. Jagged Little Pill is an insult to Alanis fans. You would think a star of her caliber would not allow such garbage to carry her name. As a fan I am deeply disappointed and feel I have been played a fool.

Summary: The greatest video ever!
Review: This Grammy winning video by the amazing Alanis Morissette is the epitome of intense, live music videos. This is a must-have for anyone! All the songs from Jagged Little Pill (which is the greatest CD in the universe) as well as 2 new songs are in here. Alanis Live is an incredible experience....her presence, performance, amazing unique voice, and "lovingly hunky", talented yet independant band members make JLP live the best of the best. Alanis filmed her whold world tour, and shares funny, special moments with her fans on this video. See the bandmembers in full makeup! See Taylor's reaction to Alanis's messy room! See the band throwing pie at Alanis! This has it all, and it;s something you just want to watch over and over and over. END

Summary: worst dvd in my collection thus far...
Review: This is undoubtedly the worst dvd I have purchased thus far. The audio is absolutely terrible. I love Alanis' music and her style but this is just terrible. How hard can it be to just tape a concert with decent sound and audio quality? Some of the scenes jump around constantly to the point where you can barely watch the screen. Alanis, just have someone tape your concert with high quality sound and some different viewing angles. This should not be so hard.

Summary: Absolutely Brilliant
Review: This Long-Form DVD is perfect to watch and really appreciate the type, scale, and scope of artist Alanis really is. It has been said that a weakness of the video is that it cuts from venue to venue in the middle of songs; however, I actually enjoyed this, as it added different versions and thus different dimensions to the songs. Say, for example, it was showing an edgy version of "You Oughta Know"- it would cut straight to a mellow, crooning version and pick up exactly where the last one left off, as if all the instrumentation and vocals had changed that second. This really helps to appreciate the different variations and layers of each song, and adds a lot of energy to the DVD as a whole as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is even thinking of buying it. And besides, it won the 1997 Grammy for "Best Video, Long Form"...

Summary: A joke, made by a schizo producer
Review: Very weak production values. It would be nice to hear a full song. Anyone that really likes this DVD must be a hard, hard-core fan. Mine's going on eBay!
