Summary: Gene and Paul should be ashamed
Review: I was expecting this dvd to be the mother of all concert dvds.
I could not believe what a sham it was. Do not, I repeat do not
waste your money on this garbage. This is the most half ...
production I have ever seen. The concert itself is a made for
tv style event, not the real deal. The filming is hard to watch
It is totally lacking in concert content which is the whole
reason one would want to purchase this dvd to begin with.

Summary: The Historic [bad deal]!
Review: This is terrible. Did KISS actually have anything to do with this DVD? If they did, so much for their love of the fans. This DVD is a total rip from beginning to end. The outside of the DVD makes you think as though KISS pulled this out of their vaults, when after watching it you think they pulled it out of their toilet. I had a feeling KISS was starting to get carried away with making money, but know it is clear with this DVD.
"You Wanted the Best, You Got the WORSE" Save your money.

Summary: DON'T BUY THIS DVD!!!
Review: From the heydays of the 70's to the new millenium, KISS has been known for the glam and glitter of the show, not taking the fans for a ride and meeting or exceeding the expectations of each and every one of them.

I have anticipated the release of this DVD for some time now, and after spending my hard earned [money], I want to return it to the record store where I bought it.

The large gold sticker on the front is misleading. "Featuring the Hit Songs: Rock n' Roll All Nite, Shout It Out Loud, God Of Thunder, and Love Gun". As with any other video, this is a teaser, a catcher. Not this time. This time it was a [cheat]!! Something like this should have been given out for free via an AVI or MPG file on the internet rather than selling it on a DVD. Personally, I would have rated the DVD 0 stars, but that was not an option.

My final thoughts? I am done with KISS....

Summary: TOO MUCH POST-SHOW TOUCH-UP
Review: Well, like all the other reviews have stated, this is only 4 songs. Granted, they picked four of their best, but still, it's only four. Another thing that I noticed, and this was REALLY obvious, was that they must have done a WHOLE LOT of post-show touch-ups to the sound. Especially during GOD OF THUNDER when Gene is only picking his "E" string and pointing to the crowd with his other hand, yet there are PLENTY of bass fills that, let's face it, YOU CAN'T PLAY WITH ONLY ONE HAND !!! And, also during GOD OF THUNDER, Gene's bass tone is completely different than the bass tone on the other 3 songs. In addition, there are several instances where there are little vocal ad-libs thrown in, yet Paul isn't at a microphone. I've seen KISS in concert 8 times. I've seen every possible incarnation of the band. Never have I heard them perform vocal harmonies to such perfection. Especially on LOVE GUN. It's PAINFULLY obvious that there was a boatload of things fixed before this DVD was released to the public. KISS is one of my favorite bands and I really hate to say anything bad about them, but this DVD is really weak. As far as the other "junk" on the DVD, it's really quite boring and almost painful to sit through. Live In Las Vegas is only a "must" for the KISS fan who wants to own EVERYTHING with their logo on it.

Summary: Not impressed
Review: I have to agree with most of the reviews. This is a major disappointment. I never thought I would see the day that I would buy a KISS dvd of a "live" event, only to find it is lip sync-ed. I forgave them for the WCW "God of Thunder" lip syncing, because I figured "It's only one song, why bring all the equipment". But this is bad. If they are going bring all the pyro, why not play it live?

The dvd is pretty of boring, overall. The only thing that I can think of is that maybe this is not an officially licensed KISS product, and the band did not have any say so as to what went in and what didn't. If you notice the dvd is put out by Pixelon, which is the company who sponsored the event. So KISS may not have anything to do with it.

I certainly hope not.

Summary: WARNING!!!!!!!
Review: Only four songs and a bounch of filler. The sound quality of the performance isn't very good. If Simmons and Stanley were smart and wanted to make an easy buck, which I am sure Simmons does, they would get the Last Kiss or some long form concert video out. This was a waste of money.

Summary: Kiss Dead in Las Vegas
Review: I just got this Dvd like the 1st reviewer. I was hoping for a all out [kick] final tour show. I have seen these guys live, and if they endorsed this has their farewell tour and a way to thank the fans that bought their records & Cds I say "I wanted the best and I got the worst." With only 20 minutes of concert time shown I can not believe a band named "Kiss" would do this. I say, "Forget about this one, don't waste your 20 minutes, or your money.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Not much pre-release info to indicate that this is actually only a four-song concert. Not such a great show, either. The band looks kind of bored, like they are just going through the motions. Paul is wearing a wig. Peter looks like he could fall asleep at any moment. And the show production is on a smaller scale than usual for a KISS show. Granted, this was never intended to be a full-length concert. Rather, KISS was just one a several acts slated to perform for that event, but this DVD just covers the KISS set and some marginally interesting bonus footage. There is concert footage and an interview with "Larger Than Life", a KISS tribute band. There are a lot of KISS tribute bands out there. Many of them claim to be the "Official Tribute Band", or "KISS's Favorite Tribute Band", or something like that. I don't think "Larger Than Life" is the best one, though. I've seen "KISS Army" and "Destroyer", and those two blow "Larger Than Life" out of the water. So don't expect any earth-shattering tribute band concert footage on this DVD. There is some footage of Gene and Paul at a Tower Records store appearance. The footage could have stood some trimming - it just kind of rambles on and on and is not terribly interesting. The KISS concert footage is edited in extremely rapid-fire cuts, dizzying even by MTV standards. It gets difficult to watch sometimes. The cuts come so fast that your brain barely registers the image on the screen before the next image comes. All in all, not quite the DVD concert many KISS fans were hoping this would be. Just as well, though. This particular concert performance is so lackluster (by KISS standards) that we are actually spared from seeing a longer version. As a long-time KISS fan I hate to say anything unflattering about them, but in the case of this DVD you may be better off by seeking concert footage elsewhere. KISS has already released a bunch of long-form videos on VHS and DVD. Any of those would be superior to this Las Vegas letdown. Sorry.

Summary: Kissed Off!
Review: Gene Paul Ace and Peter ought to be ashamed of themselves for putting out this garbage. 4 songs with lightning fast camera angles, so fast it'll make you carsick! Then when the 4 songs are over they replay the same songs with different camera angles.
I've bought alot of things from Kiss over the past 20 + years but this is the single worst item next to Kiss toilet paper i've ever purchased. Save your money folks, I wish I did!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Don't take it out on KISS
Review: Yes, this DVD is sub-par - only 4 lip-synched songs featuring quick cuts and the band is lip-synching but don't blame it on KISS - this DVD is not authorized by KISS and not promoted by KISS - it is an un-authorized release. Real fans already know this.
