Summary: Live & Kickin' Butt
Review: Live and Kickin' features Travis Tritt at his soulful best. Filmed in 2002 at the Tivoli Theater in Chatanooga, TN, Travis treats his fans to a host of favorites and covers material through his "Strong Enough" album. Perhaps one of the more underrated musicians in country music, Travis ably demonstrates why he should be a superstar with his bluesy vocals, excellent guitar-playing, and on-stage showmanship. He has the audience in the palm of his hand from the beginning till the end. Among the highlights on the DVD are fan favorites like "It's A Great Day to Be Alive", "I'm Gonna Be Somebody", "Country Club", "Strong Enough to Be Your Man" and a gorgeous acoustic version of "Anymore" in addition to covers of Hank Williams, Jr. ("Old Habits") and Charlie Daniels ("Long-Haired Country Boy").

The tracklisting:
1. Put Some Drive In Your Country
2. Time to Get Crazy
3. I'm Gonna Be Somebody
4. Where Corn Don't Grow
5. Old Habits
6. Can't Tell Me Nothin'
7. Livin' On Borrowed Time
8. Anymore

Summary: gutsy, honest music & a great performance
Review: Taped at the beautiful Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, Tennessee, this 2002 concert is terrific; Travis Tritt is a man who's paid his dues the hard way, and though he's had a lot of success, has yet to be fully acknowledged by the country music establishment for his talent as a singer/songwriter and dynamic performer, but the fans in this concert attest to his devoted following however, with a sold-out crowd responding with cheers and applause. I've been a Tritt fan since the early '90s, and have always liked the honesty and earthiness he brings to his music.

Travis is a dynamo on stage in the up-tempo numbers with a back-up band of brilliant musicians, and for a change of pace, the central part of the show has him sitting alone with his guitar, singing "Anymore", "Country Ain't Country", and though I usually prefer Travis in his raucous and rockin' mode, my favorite song in the concert is Charlie Daniels' "Long Haired Country Boy", which Travis sings with a lot of heart and soul, and with a great acoustic guitar intro.

The band: Scott Simpson, leader and bass / Wendell Cox, guitar / Paul Kramer, fiddle / Steve Sturm, steel / David Northrup, drums, and Jarred Decker, keyboard. All are superb, and a joy to listen to.
The sound is very good for live concert footage, and total time is 90 minutes.
Song list:
1: "Put Some Drive in Your Country" (Travis Tritt)

6: "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" (Bogard/Giles)
7: "Livin' on Borrowed Time" (Tritt/DiPiero/Robbins)
8: "Anymore" (Tritt/Colucci) # 1, 1991
9: "Country Ain't Country" (Beathard/Boaz/Chamberlain)

Summary: GOOD CONCERT........
Review: This is a good concert by most standards - except for the audio.
The audio is not DD-5.1 nor is it DTS-5.1. But if you have a good receiver - you can simulate DTS-5.1 and DD-5.1 soundfields and it will please your ears. The only difference is that you will not get the surround speakers to perform in a true 5.1 mode. The video is in the widescreen anamorphic mode and quite clean. Overall it is a very good concert and a must have for all Travis Tritt fans. I picked it up at Best Buy for $10.50...
