Rating: Summary: I'm Lookin' At Real Country all right! Review: This DVD was a pleasure to watch. As a country music fan, I found this DVD to be truly a celebration of two of the best singers in country...the biogaraphical depiction of the lifestory both Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline was fascinating. It traces back to their hard scrubbable existence before they found the limelight as stars in their own right, it features some of their more popular and award winning musical hits and best of all, I enjoyed the easy, smooth flowing way their songs were weaved into their individual stories..the DVD was all I expected and more..I've no regrets buying it cos now I can watch my two favourite country singers anytime I want..it also helps that the DVD was all encoding so I had no problems at all viewing it here in the Asia Pacific (Malaysia actually).
Rating: Summary: A Real Patsy Cline! Review: This will no doubt be a treasure for those diehard Patsy Cline fans with her first venture on DVD......Originally released in 1985, this documentary tells the rise and untimely death of the legendary country singer in a 1963 plane crash. Filled with interveiws with those closest to Patsy as well as rare photos and film performances......no fan should be without this collection.
Rating: Summary: AWFUL--and here's why! Review: Unfortunately the Patsy Cline segment is dreadful. Instead of letting her perform, every song is interrupted for people to talk about Patsy. The people who made this program should release it where the commentary remains but her COMPLETE song performances are included.
