Summary: Out Of Control
Review: People often ask, what ever happened to Kylie. As the concert shows, shes been hard at work in Europe. Thou I bought the tape in Germany (January of this year) I wanted the DVD. Had the tape converted from PAL. Never did I think she whould be back in the States. Kylie covers all her 14+ years of hits and her new? single "can't get you out of my head".From the opening of "Love Boat" to "Spinning Around", this is one fast paced concert that will leave you asking for more! Some of my favs from the concert: the opening tune ~what an entrance~,"Your disco needs you", her slow set, and of course "Light Years". My only complaint, "Give me just a little more time" ~from the early 90's~, was missing. A must have for any new or long time fan!

Summary: Kylie: She Puts the Fizz Back into Pop Music
Review: Thank God for Kylie Minogue.

When compared to the recent DVD/cable television extravaganzas mounted by Madonna, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears, the Aussie powerhouse emerges as the clear winner. Madonna looks so deadly serious onstage, the effect is not unlike watching a storm trooper in drag going through rather fey combat moves. Janet is only slightly more animated, and can barely manage to keep her breath as she attempts to sing live to her synchronized dance moves. Britney...well, give the girl time. However, the almost complete lack of live vocals (except on the ballads--where the full extent of her producers' talents are plainly [and painfully] audible) is inexcusable.

Kylie, on the other hand, sings live for her entire, exhilirating, nearly 2 hour show, and sings WELL--it can't be easy to maintain your breath control while bouncing around in six-inch kitten heels, yet the diminuative diva manages to carry it off brilliantly. She also is having FUN onstage, and that sense of joy and carefree exuberance carries over to the audience.

The main strength in the Minogue camp (emphasis on "camp") is Kylie's refusal to take herself, or her stardom, too seriously. Oh, there's no doubting that Kylie is a true, blazing, God-given Star; she has charisma, talent, beauty and charm to spare. But her genuine niceness, not to mention her fondness for keeping her tongue firmly in cheek, are breaths of fresh air when confronted with "serious artists" like Madonna, or assembly-line, mass-market popsters like Britney.

From the 1940's-musical-style opener ("Love Boat") to the kitschily fabulous encore ("Spinning Around"), Kylie's energy level never drops once. Highlights abound: a bright, spangly rendition of her 1989 classic "Hand on Your Heart"; a full-steam-ahead Greatest Hits medley that has the audience practically panting at her feet; a brilliant, twisted-cabaret arrangement of her anthem, "Better the Devil You Know"; an unbelievably erotic take on the Olivia Newton-John ditty, "Physical"; a pumping, sexually-charged "Butterfly"; and the aforementioned "Spinning Around" finale.

Another key to Kylie's success: despite her bare midriffs, low-rise leather jeans, tush-grazing hot pants and stilleto heels, she never comes across as sleazy or even overtly sexual; she really may just be the most gosh-darndest nice pop star on the planet (and it's evident that her dancers and band adore her), as well as the most non-threatening.

The DVD comes with some nice extras: backstage peeks at the show, which highlight the cheeky humor of both Kylie herself, and her tour crew. It makes sense: to put on such a lighthearted, fun show, you need to surround yourself with lighthearted, fun people.

This is, without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable contemporary pop concerts available. Buy it! Kylie delivers.

Summary: Great concert but one flaw...
Review: The promo video for Spinning Around is toned down a little. Still sexy, but they edited out some of her hot pants shots. The famous close-up shot in the beginning of the video where she spins around has even been removed. Other than that, this is one of the sexiest concerts ever recorded. DTS sounds great, and the camera work is pretty good except more and longer shots of Kylie would have been nice, especially during Physical. Still, this is her best DVD with great replay value making it the one to own.

Summary: A good one
Review: This a good concert.
It is not as spectacular as the Intimate and Live Concert, where she sings Dancing Queen. In this one she's dressed to kill, looks gorgeous.
But this is a good one. I love the end. Also the mexican wave.
Is a MUST for any Kylie fan.

Summary: Kylie's Australian Concert Dvd.
Review: This DVD is great for those who haven't seen her in concert before. It sort of like Cher and Bette Midler with more dance and costume changes. The DVD comes with a Bonus Feature of backstage footage and interview with dancers and muscians and managers that was fun to watch. The dancers are mostly made up of Italian men and women so it was kind of hard to understand them at times. The show consists of over 20 songs and clocks in at 1 hour and 46 minutes. The show spans her entire career from the huge hits "I Should Be So Lucky","Hand On Your Heart","Can'T Get You Out Of my Head" and a medley of PWL hits to rare stuff like "Confide In Me","Put Yourself In My Place","Loveboat","Butterfly" and her solo version of "Kids". Plus to me the highlight is the bump and grind /pole dance version of Olivia Newton -John's "Physical". Excellent. The Dvd also included the Video to "Spinning Around". So this is an excellent start to see Kylie in concert when she decides to come to the US and do some dates here.

Review: This DVD is truly awe inspiring. This is part of Kylie's promo tour for the incredibly successful comeback release of 'Light Years'.

Kylie had to adapt to ticket demand on this tour by playing only stadiums! I've been a fan since her beginning and being from the U.S. had been grateful to see her music released here again. I love this video with a passion! The video and sound on this are excellent. The performance is excellent. Can Kylie sing live? Oh, yes! She even throws in some pleasant surprises in her performance. There are special arrangements of 'I Should Be So Lucky' and 'Better The Devil You Know'. The acoustic 'Put Yourself In My Place' is a treat. We all know Kylie for her upbeat music. 'Butterfly' comes through with the same high impact as it does on 'Light Years'. 'Your Disco Needs You' is performed with the same drama. The other tunes? They are upbeat and a joy to see and hear!

Kylie was near forgotten in the U.S. before the incredible success of the audio CD 'Light Years' and it's follow up tour video 'Live in Sydney' worldwide(it was not originally released in the U.S.). The success of 'Light Years' paved the way for the future U.S. release of her music.

For U.S. fans, this DVD is her first and finest. If you want to see a SHOW, get this one. This is not just pop Kylie, this is ENTERTAINER Kylie.

Review: This DVD is truly awe inspiring. This is part of Kylie's promo tour for the incredibly successful comeback release of 'Light Years'. Kylie had to adapt to ticket demand on this tour by playing only stadiums! I've been a fan since her beginning and being from the U.S. have found it impossible to see her in concert without taking an international flight. This Region 1 encoded DVD(will play in U.S. DVD players) changed that for U.S. fans. We can finally see her live, performing to a stadium crowd!

The video and sound on this are excellent. The performance is excellent. Can Kylie sing live? Oh, yes! She even throws in some pleasant surprises in her performance. For U.S. fans, this DVD is better late than never. How could U.S. record companies have overlooked Kylie for so long?

Summary: Kylie = Anti-Diva
Review: What can i say? This concert is beautiful and makes me happy, if you are not sure if you think you like Kylie, please watch this dvd, Kylie shows how much she loves us(her fans) as much as we love her, with all these divas out there, Kylie is a breath of fresh air,,, So lovely is Miss Kylie, the concert has such a mixture of energy and beauty with some scenes quiet and soothing, then bam its TOO WONG FOO meets PRISCILLA,QUEEN OF THE DESERT......Kylie is such a smart business woman, she has kept her career slow and steady, while others have faded away (Madonna(still have hopes for a return),Britney) Kylie's star still shines and will burn bright for all eternity!
